Benetil, one of my biggest pet peeves with the media is it's tendency to call one or two specific people to get the "take" on what a particular group feel on a subject. I personally don't like Ann Coulter. She's welcome to her opinion and occasionally I agree with her, but I don't like her. One of the many tragedies of 9/11 was the death of Barbara Olsen who viewpoint I found much more measured and reasonable. My other two favorites are Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell. Neither would recognize me as a Christian because I am Mormon and frankly, I often wish I could ignore them as well. They certainly don't speak for my point of view as a Christian. |
