Over the weekend the latest CNN/Gallup poll came out. It shows a 63% support for the recall, 40% support for Schwarzenegger, 25% for Bustamente, 18% for McClintock. I have not yet learned if this was taken among likely voters or just a general poll. However, the change seems to come on the heels of the debate last week and Govenor Davis' turn to old negative campaign tactics. His reply? "I'm just setting the record straight." His advisors warned him strongly against going negative in this campaign, but as with spending warnings over the past few years he has not listened it seems. Maybe if we are all lucky this will all be over in a week. Then again Paramount might actually make good, quality Trek again.

Also, Bill Clinton went to campaign on behalf of Gray-out Davis and his numbers went down. I can't wait until Clinton campaigns for some of the Democrats that are running for president.

Living in Calfornia, I am sick and tired of all the news surrounding this recall nonsense. I mean I was watching the debate last week hoping to get something to sway my vote, but in the end all it was was a three ring circus taking up valuable news time. Frankly, I think the recall coverage is a big waste of time and can't wait until the middle of october for people to forget about it. That being said, I am still voting for the recall because of the piss poor job Davis has done in office. CA deserves a better governor and not the guy who signed the bills to run our economy down the damn drain. |

I noticed one little thorn in Gray Davis' hide... new, more expensive car taxes go into effect tomorrow, just one week before the recall election. Can you say, "Oops!"? Sure ya can! |
