Well it looks like Amina Lawal is no longer going to be stoned to death. I wonder if international pressure had anything to do with the Courts overturning her conviction? Indeed great news. I too hope it was a combination of pressure and the rule of law in Nigeria. Especially the latter. Though I hope she is relocated before those who think the court erred carry out their own "justice". |

Undoubtedly, international pressure played a significant role. I have a hard time believing women's rights are improving in Nigeria. |
