Or perhaps its because one camp has chosen to "pigeonhole" me because of what they "think" my politics are .... If they already "know" how I am going to answer, why bother to change their minds, right? It's the same camp who have told me what I believed about the reasons for the conflict were - when I have disagreed with the statement, I have been told simply that I am wrong. They apparently are concerned that I may actually think for myself

- Lets see if I get this quote box thing to work. WooHoo it did. Some old dogs can learn new tricks. Just as long as they are terribly simple tricks.

- Well to be fair you have also just today pegged me into positions which I never stated and told me what I meant by the use of certain phrases. We're unfortuantley trained to go to black and white, right or wrong first and then look for grey. I try not to, I beleive most people's opinions are complicated but its difficult to reject one's own cultural mechanism. And if you post anything, ever, anywhere, someone will tell you its wrong (which obviously you know). And I have a hard time beleiving that there is no lesson to be learned from which community argues with you and which community doesn't, and vice versa.

Or, perhaps, it's because I have become seriously concerned for what passes for "evidence" these days. What has actually has been said or done is often overshadowed by what is perceived to have been said or done

- Couldn't agree with you more. But short of comparing notes I don't know what this could get us.

- Good luck with your reveiw, I hope my school doesn't do that! I'd have to cut down on my cartoon refreneces and pretend to be smart. But then again I only teach 3 students so I probably won't get any kind of eval until those stupid things at the end.
