You know Sisko, I never realized until today how much we have in common. What I mean is what you wrote about DS9 is what I found much appealing about it as well. Yeah I didn't think it was all that great when it first came out, but last year rewatching the DVDs, I realized what a great show it was. It was intellegent writing, storytelling, and it continued the trend of the 1990's I miss so much in trek, pushing beyond the boundries and making trek new and fresh. Now the series is just tired, and our youth of america are realizing that. They do know what quality is and what quality isn't, and ENT is not everything trek can be. If you have been a fan of series for a long time (I've been one for 15 years and still excited about it with Star Trek, TNG, DS9, and to a lesser extent Voyager) you would realize this. |

Good point gdog. Enterprise needs more well thought out stories, less emphasis on torture and massage and more on what makes it Star Trek. It also should be noted that it wasn't until watching DS9 and all the homages they made to TOS when I really started to appreciate what a ground breaking show it was. Sunday I think, I will finally get the TOS box set and begin the reviews Sisko style. |

I think the reason they say they don't like Star Trek is because their friends say it is dumb. So, trying to be like their friends, they don't watch any shows that they might possibly like due to the fact that their friends have such a low opinion of the show. As for James Bond: I knew who he was when I was seven. What is with these kids?
