Trailer for "Arrow"

As in Green Arrow... minus the "Green". Looks like they want this to fill the void of the now retired "Smallville". Definitely seems to be playing up on more of a Nolan/Bale "Dark Knight" trilogy vibe. It's seems to be one of the shows the critics are expecting to do well this fall.

Seems like the trailer could almost work as a spoiler heavy truncated origin film. I will say though that after seeing this trailed I am looking forward to this premiere. Why? A character that was called "Terminator" before Arnold flashed his bare backside and uttered "Ahh'll be bahck."

The article and the video both show a shot of a black and orange mask that is the trademark of a character called "Deathstroke the Terminator". The character did turn up on "Smallville" (among other DC Comics oriented shows over the years). He's a mercenary/assassin. He's wealthy in his own right, so would possibly turn up in the same social circles as the Queen family. More, originally, the primary nemesis of the Teen Titans during the 80's, he could be a good fit with new series.

It appears this one will play on the Dark Knight trilogy from the other end, as in Queen going after the "one percent" types...

I think I'll pass on this one.

^^^
It would actually fit pretty well with the character's long established mind set. Green Arrow really has never apologized for being very liberal.

Premiered this past Wednesday night. Kind of a cross between "Smallville" and "Dark Knight" films. The former, because we are dealing with a fairly young guy, the latter because of the dark, gritty edge to it. All in all, though, decent pilot episode and intriguing enough to get me to want to see what happens next.
