Ok, my none Zombie Apocalyptic impossibility criticism of this show are two fold.

1) The people aren’t very intelligent and are way to daring if their primary intent is to stay alive.

ei, no matter how mad you are, or how much you want to prove a point; no one in the right (or wrong mind) would open a barn full of Zombies to kill them. Too much could go wrong, there would be so many better and safer ways to prove your point.

ei, no matter how upset you are at the group for not following your winny dissertation about what it means to be human, you don’t walk five miles into the dark by yourself. And by the way if you see a cow that’s been freshly mangled … it means there’s a Zombie near by … or a chupacabra which is just as dangerous.

ei, Zombies aren’t very smart why not set up a parameter around your camp?

2) Like so many TV shows of late, this one is following in the tradition of a non climatic ending. Nothing of significance ever happens, it’s like watching a scripted relate TV show.
Well, I didn't get the impression that he was five miles from camp, but on the perimeter as the other guys showed up within a few minutes on foot. Second, I don't think that he was wandering, but patrolling the perimeter as he had a rifle. And third, I don't think that he could see the state of the cow as it was dark.

My irritation is that they let that boy go running off in to the woods by himself in the first place.

And I would much rather open up the barn door in broad daylight (no euphemisms or double-entendres implied) and let the zombies come out where I could see to shoot them from a distance than to go into the dark barn to kill them. But, that's just me.
The Chinese Dude, didn’t have to walk into the lower level of the barn when he discovered them. So if Shane (That’s his name right) wanted to kill them he could have done it in the same way. Climbed to the loft area and shoot them from above. No need to walk into a dark barn with Zombies.

Why would the older guy be patrolling the perimeter? With so few people to protect what would that accomplish? At that distance, and with no one else patrolling a Zombie could walk in at any other angle undetected. Simple trip wire attached to bells (or other noise making items) all along the perimeter would do a much better job than one guy with a gun.

You could make the case that the older guy wanted to die, upset with the fact that no one was listening to him, but that’s a silly reason to want to die.

It was really all done for the symbolism; the group lost its living embodiment of their conscious because they were so willing to not listen to their internal conscious. But the point was to forced to be interesting.

So what happens now? Shane and Sheriff Dude continue their fight over Sheriff Dude’s wife as the new guy tells his rap thirsty friends where to find the camp? Sheriff Dude should have just killed that guy when he had the chance … everyone wanted him too … his main deputy would have restored faith in him … and a bunch of rap thirsty guys wouldn’t be on a crash cores with the camp … the price his little boy would know they’re not in Kansas anymore.

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
The guy who owned the farm was opposed to letting them go in the barn and he did it to make a statement and I don't know if you could have gotten them all from the loft.

I don't think that Dale wanted to die.

I don't think that they should have executed their prisoner either, but I don't know.

At the end of the season finale they seemed to be next to a prison, which would seem to be a well fortified place that can resist the hordes. I wonder if that is where season 3 will go. I guess first they would have to clear the prison of walkers, but it seems like most of them would be stuck in cells and so easy to pick off.

Also, the guy in the hood who's face was not shown. I have a feeling that was Darryl's brother whom we lost track of in season 1. I was wondering when and if they were going to bring him back.

Did you watch The Talking Dead after The Walking Dead? The answer was in the show.

I got the impression it was a woman in the cloak, I doubt Darryl's brother would ware such getup.

Why didn't they leave a note on the cars for Andrea, telling her to head west in the event that she was still alive and got the meet up point?

The Zombies at the Prison aren’t who they are going to have to worry about; it’s the inmates who are still alive who’ll they’ll have to worry about; which I suspect will be the group of 30 guys who are “hold up somewhere down the road” and like to go around raping and killing people they meet up with.

Once again this last episode was full of moments where I have to believe all they want is to actual die cause no one can be that stupid when fighting for their lives. Just a word of advice in case one is ever in the situation … you can drive an RV with someone standing on the roof, you don’t need to wait while they get down giving zombies plenty of time to bust in and eat you … apparently some people need to be told this.

Oh and seeing the prison got me thinking ... why don’t these people have a map? I mean walk into any gas station (which are everywhere) and they have tones and tones of maps. From day one these people should have been planning their movies based on fortifiable locations.

Which than gets me thinking about the inmates at the prison I was talking about; assumedly there’s got to be more people alive who are a bit more intelligent than our group of survivors here … a prison would be an ideal place (aside from the inmates) for a township or the state to turn into a refugee camp at the time of zombie apocalypse. In book and film, during Zombie horror we always see our heroes trying to get to such a place but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie or show where they actually get there; it would be an interesting dynamic to explore.

Picture this Martial law in place at the prison; the person in charge is a government or military type; he has turned from the ideal public servant in to a Caesar; he has come to use the more thuggish inmates and officers to “keep the order”; and in his own mind he is doing all the bad things we will see him do for the good of the people. He will be a macro representation of what we saw of Rick in the last episode, an otherwise good man turned dark due the pressures of the situation.

Our group of heroes will think they’ve reached the promised land; Rick will even get in good with Caesar; but soon they’ll find out that the price is too dammed high and that humans can be even more dangerous than Zombies. Rick will have to struggle with his own fall into darkness but when he sees that Caesar is who he’s becoming he will make a mad dash to get his people out of the prison.
