???? Wasn't a great year for me, but a few things went well. Had some good times with my kids in Colorado. How about you? |

I had some good, and some bad in 2011. I was glad to be cancer free for yet another year in 2011. Got to see Leonard Nimoy's farewell to conventions speech in Vegas and Chicago. Won 3rd place in Trek costume contest in Chicago as a Gorn. Was able to afford a super nice Christmas vacation in the Florida Keys this year. I won't discuss the bad, not worth the time and trouble.... |

Congratulations on the cancer free year Pattycakes! I celebrated 5 years cancer free this past October. I also celebrated my 20th anniversary in August and my 50th birthday a few weeks ago. A pretty good year all in all. |

Yep, 5 years cancer free as of June. Other than that the family is healthy and we're employed. Don't much like my job and I think having three bosses in three year's is a sign of rearraning of the deck chairs. Question is, for each of us, what do we do to make 2012 better? Me? Diet, get my professional certification, find new job. Tell my lovely bride and my daughter that I love them on a daily basis. I do that last part already, just need ot keep it up. |

A lot of cancer survivors here. Not good that there are so many - but very very good we have all made it! |

How about a Voyager Movie

2010 was the most trying difficult timultioulous time we have had. Second lay off in 5 years but we recovered with quote "real" jobs. Survival mode for me and my family in 2011 but I have a nose up for success in 2012 through faith and prayer and determination and action. Its wierd being 40 something and being apathetic about the present. What a losing state of mind, I mean ohhhh the past was so special, the future will be so special.... no ass wipe Now is your life. Function. Sometimes I think I need three lifetimes to get this one right. Things Modify, adapt, evolve and change faster than LeSwid can climb down off the half dome. God Bless all of you real people here on this board and Great happy new year wishes to all of you!

Apparently we look like this now
|
2011 was also a brutal year for me. I will think of 2011 like a psycho ex girlfriend. But, 2012, things are already looking up. |

Last year was a good year for me and my family. My wife and I are still employed. No major sickness or injuries. Our daughter is doing well in school. Grandkids are doing okay. We've settled our contract. We got more money, more time off with pay and better contract language. I can't complain about anything. |

Every year can be better than the last, I certainly hope 2012 is, as long as the Earth doesn't explode or anything like that... |

Sorry you had a bad ending to your year CO-Fowler. My worst year ever was 2006. I lost two people very dear to me and we also lost some people on my hubby's side of the family whom we were close to. Then I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I'm only telling you all this to let you know it does get better no matter how bad it gets. I don't know how I got through that year - but today I am thriving with a great hubby, wonderful children and a job I love. You get out of life what you put into it. Have a great 2012! |
