Anyone watching "Falling Skies"?

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
My computer/monitor story is a long, sad, frustrating tail full anger, despair and anguish. It involves romance, car chases, robot space monkeys, and cream cheese; but mainly me arguing with vendor tech support reps on the other side of the world.

FedEx willing, I hope to have this 6 month long saga (I'm not kidding here) story resolved by tomorrow evening with a 23" monitor (try that with a laptop). The viewing would not quite be the same on my Blackberry.

So, far the tally is:
3 motherboards + RAM
3 hard drives
and finally a different new computer arrived yesterday (with no monitor), facepalm.

First plugged in original computer 12/25/2010. In the 6+ months since then, have gotten about 3-4 weeks of computer usage out of this paper weight.

I have a laptop by the same company, granted an expensive high-performance laptop, that has been flawless in a little over a year of use.

Ok, I only have a 15.6 inch monitor on the laptop - but it does the trick. I had a 20 inch monitor and I still could use it if I wanted but I have found the 15.6" sufficient because I sit closer to it then I did the desk monitor, so I asked the hubby to put it elsewhere and made extra room on my desk.

Unfortunately I have not been able to watch this series because it is on a pay channel I do not subscribe to. Wichita - it is not surprising you saw someone from SG-1 because both series were/are filmed in Canada - although SG-1 was out in Vancouver and Falling Skies is filmed in Hamilton, Ontario (about a 45 minute drive from Toronto)

Here is an interesting tidbit (although it is another reason I am frustrated that I cannot see the show) my husband's cousin's granddaughter had a small part in the pilot episode. I didn't see any reference to her in my online research so it must have been a very small part but I remember the girl's mother telling me all about it last year when they were filming. (We have a "Cousin's Club" that meets regularly so I know the hubby's family quite well) They live in Hamilton.

Ok, got a working computer and a 23" monitor (which is very pretty), but the computer did not come with a wireless network accessory. So, I can snake a long cable across my house, or go buy a USB/wireless adapter (which isn't very expensive). But, anyway I still can't watch it from home, unless it is on Hulu which I have on my XBOX, but haven't subscribed to.

I am so ready for this computer fiasco to be over.

If you have missed any episodes, there will be a Falling Skies marathon next Sunday.
