Tornadoes knocked out power for 2 days, but my Direct TV dish was out (damaged) for almost a week. I went to Blockbuster and rented season 1 of BSG and that was all she wrote. I am completely hooked, and I just finished season 2, with disk 1 of season 3 ready to go tomorrow.

Question: How do the BSG: Razor and BSG: The Plan fit into the series? WHen do I need to watch them?

Yes I know there is a thread for this show but I don't want to read it because I don't want to know what is going to happen next. :)

Also, feel free to discuss this with me. I will post where I am in the series, and I ask that you don't post spoilers about what's yet to come.

So far, Giaus is a #$%^&^%#$%.

We have had 7 cylons revealed:

6
Sharon
The reporter guy
The guy who they found in the weapons outpost
The reporter female who did the review
The doctor in the farms
Dean Stockwell's character

I'm not great on the names because I just started this series a week ago

Save "The Plan" as an epilogue to the series. Razor would probably be best viewed after season 2, so given where you are in it you should be fine watching it any time now.

As far as who else turns out to be Cylons, when that reveal finally comes, you will be blown out of your seat.

I knew Stockwell's character was a cylon when he said that he was. It was confirmed when he appeared on Caprica while he was supposed to be on Galactica. lol

Can I watch the first 4 episodes of season 3 before watching Razor? Do they take place in between the last season 2 episode and the first season 3 episode? Season 2 ended with Gaius being a dictator on Caprica2, and the cylons came and he surrendered. I havent watched any season 3 episodes yet.

I think all of Razor takes place in the latter half of Season 2, just after Apollo gets command of Pegasus and before the S2 finale. So, I think you are safe with watching it after moving on to S3.

Those scenes with #6 as Gaius's little voice in his head are annoying, although it was nice to see him as hers. I really hope he gets what he deserves. He has 3 times now sold out to the cylons. The first time, he was deceived, but then he became a traitor.

Cool, I may have to go back and do some rewatching to talk about it with you. Been a couple of years. I wouldn't worry about scheduling the movies until later. Mostly just surplus information.

I've been planning on watching it all again, still need to get the season 4.5 set when it finally comes down a few more dollars.

I need to get "The Plan" one of these days too.

Is it just me or are there several really weak episodes in season 3?

Which ones? I think there is a lot of story developing in S3 that sets the stage for later in the season and for S4. The pay off is worth it.

Good...I was talking about the one with the boxing match and the one with Adama's anniversary...I'm not a fan of flashback episodes.

I think those really were just mostly supposed to be character building episodes. The boxing one (titled "Unfinished Business") almost seems like BSG's version of TNG's "Family" in purpose following "The Best of Both Worlds" in TNG.

Yeah, 3 lags a bit, but it's all things that will be foundation to Season 4, so make sure you pay attention...

That's one thing about nuBSG, something one episode may turn out to be critical to something eight episodes later...
