Want to bet there's still some who can't believe Milwaukee isn't the Braves?

Or that the Braves were replaced by a bad team from Seattle?

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
I think that Nolan Ryan wanted his team to be a part of the Rangers organization or some such nonsense. I just don't care about the Rangers, never have.

The Astros have a team in Corpus Christi, but I don't know if it is AA or AAA.

Don't know what is up with the pitching staff, :news: Two mornings in a row I awoke to news about McDowell's slur to some heckling fans and then Lowe's DUI arrest.

Although, it was a pleasure to get to see the Yankees crush the White Sox, Live!

Let me guess with The Mets, they won 6 straight, so does that bode for a 7 game losing streak?

The Corpus team are the Hooks. They're AA.

Friday's game was an incredible disappointment. Two home runs off their "ace," back to back, in the top of the first and you know it wouldn't end well. We stayed until the top of the 7th, when they were down 4-0. It ended up 5-0.

I'm happy I got the tickets free, because it would have been an incredibly expensive loss.

What's sad is to think most of the guys you come to like at that level will never see themselves in a major league uniform. They might excel at AA, get moved up to AAA...and are never seen again. If they're lucky, they get a cup of coffe in the bigs.

Alan Cockerell, who was the first player from the Ravens who was called up by the Rockies spent about a week on the major league team to fill a roster spot, failed to impress, and was sent back to AAA Colorado Springs where he vanished after the end of the season.

I swear there's more rain delays and rain outs this season than there's been in recent memory...

I remember Harmon Killebrew's final playing years rather well. He was a joy to watch, and he really did hit home runs a long way. Those were some wonderful days to be a young boy and a baseball fan. Watching the likes of Killebrew, Carew, Oliva, and Tovar was a joy.

At the beginning of game play today there were 26 weather delays total. Four more games were rained out today. 30 Total.

Boog Powell...Jim Ray Hart...George Scott...Munson & Murcer...

Here's one for you. Who was it that made the final out for the Orioles to end the 1969 World Series and gave the Mets their first World Series trophy?

Baltimore second baseman Davey Johnson, who in 1986 would be the Mets manager when they won their second Championship.

I took my kids to an event and the AAA Round Rock Express yesterday afternoon. It was all the hamburgers and hot dogs we could eat, and soda, ice cream, cookies.... The pool area was also reserved for us. We watched the first 3 innings and then the kids wanted to hang out in the pool the rest of the day.

Well since the Red Wings are out, I'll have to cheer on one of the original six.
