Well I have finally risen to the top. The next time ya'll visit Nevada, please stop in and visit. I'm heading strait there when my assignment here is finished. The size of my office is big enough for all of you, but please, do bring the wives this time...

Oh Repunzel, can you see forever now atop my lofty Ivory Tower ?

Not mine -- I love it. If I were a multi-millionaire, I'd still be doing what I do at work much of the time. :)

Yeah, I love what I do. I write about music several hours a day, and I publish a lot of things that I find very interesting in academic journals. Oh wait -- you may be speaking to CP -- sorry!

I don't know. I'd like to give "trust-fund baby" a try and see if that is fun.

Since I'm out gunned here by fans of the movie, I'll just go ahead and take the prick of the year award too..

:P

Since there are so many fans of the movie, why can't I get someone to take this user name!!

I must confess that I have never seen any part of Twilight. I am not even sure what it is. I get the feeling it is just another vampire thing, but....

But, as father of a 6 and an 8, I know all about Miley Cyrus
Oh, well none of those awards means anything to me anyway.

Thanks for the link, Twilight.

I've never seen the film Twilight, or the second one in the series. I really have no desire to see it. But I do like some vampires, such as Barnabas Collins (Dark Shadows). He was a joy to watch back in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and that show is one of my all-time favorites.

I did enjoy Zoë Saldana as Uhura, but understand how she as well as others did not win whatever award they were nominated for this time around. And generally speaking, I'm with Hoss as far as awards are concerned.

Obviously a lot of teenaged girls voted for those awards, which is why the People's Choice isn't really that relevant, IMO.

Fes - I saw the first Twilight movie. It is pretty "safe" as far as kids are concerned and actually preaches abstinance. I won't say it is a spectacular film, but it was pretty good and I enjoyed it. I have not seen the second one since my own teenage daughter has decided that she didn't like it after all (she enjoyed the books at first and the movie - but now rejects them probably precisely because they are popular, she likes to be "different")

Minuet,

Thanks. I remembered that you enjoyed this film. :)

Yeah, I fully understand about teenage girls and wanting to be 'different.' I often think that it's in their genes. ;)
