That, or they should have included BOC's "Godzilla" on the soundtrack...

Something I've been surprised for years over it never being done.

Channel 11 in New York used to have a great station break/commercial they used to use with a montage of G clips set to "Godzilla"...they'd show it when they'd do an occasional Holiday Godzilla marathon.

Try Netflix, I think they carry them but I doubt that they are available yet for instant viewing...

Most of the movies are available affordably on DVD now. I highly recommend the 2-disc remastered set of "Gojira" which includes both the original Japanese movie (subtitled) and the US version with the added Raymond Burr scenes.

The other remastereds are also very good, including the often forgotten first sequel, "Godzilla Raids Again" (aka "Gigantis The Fire Monster")

I did notice on the Netflix website some of the Godzilla movies, including the two most recent mentioned herein are available to watch online. I don't think the remastered oldies are, however.

I've seen 2000 and the films since then several times, including recently. I want to start from the beginning, and watch all of them over a couple weeks. I wonder how much the entire set would cost.

For some reason I never saw "King Kong vs. Godzilla" released as a remaster, though it is available on DVD if you look for it. Amazon had this Japanese one...

The complete set would be:

• Godzilla (aka Godzilla: King of the Monsters) (1954)
• Godzilla Raids Again (aka Gigantis The Fire Monster, Godzilla's Counterattack) (1955)
• King Kong Vs. Godzilla (1962)
• Godzilla Vs. Mothra (aka Godzilla vs. The Thing) (1964)
• Ghidrah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964)
• Godzilla Vs. Monster Zero (aka Invasion of Astro-Monster) (1965)
• Godzilla Vs. the Sea Monster (1966)
• Son of Godzilla (1967)
• Destroy All Monsters (1968)
• Godzilla's Revenge (aka All Monsters Attack) (1969)
• Godzilla Vs. Hedorah (1971)
• Godzilla Vs. Gigan (1972)
• Godzilla Vs. Megalon (1973)
• Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla (1974)
• Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975)
• Godzilla 1985 (1985)
• Godzilla Vs. Biollante (1989)
• Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah (1991)
• Godzilla & Mothra: The Battle for Earth (1992)
• Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993)
• Godzilla Vs. Spacegodzilla (1994)
• Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah (1995)
• Godzilla (American Movie)(1998)
• Godzilla 2000: Millennium (2000)
• Godzilla Vs. Megaguirus (2000)
• Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001)
• Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002)
• Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. (2003)
• Godzilla: Final Wars (2004)

I must correct myself from earlier, also. Godzilla's Revenge and Son of Godzilla are two separate movies, though both feature Godzilla's "son" Minilla. There is the bully kid named Gammera, and a monster named "Gabara" in Godzilla's Revenge.

The second half of the showa series is pretty weak, IMHO...the heisei series has the best continuity of all of the films.

I've seen all of them, but some, like "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster" and "Godzilla vs. Hedorah" (aka Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster) I haven't seen in a long, long time.

I too avoid "Godzilla's Revenge" and "Son of Godzilla"...if I want giant monsters that are friendly to kids I'll watch Gamera, thank you, Toho...

Was so happy when "Godzilla 1985" once again made Godzilla a destructive force of Nature.

Clearly this means at the ceremony we must play BOC's "Godzilla" as he is awarded his badge of office...
