Mine once put batteries in the soap section of a dishwasher because that's how she thought it worked. She has also tried to cook two minute noodles without turning on the stove (because it didn't say to do so on the packet) and cooked lasagne not once but twice by taking it out of the packet and putting in the oven without first putting it on a tray so it leaked allllll through the oven (also because it didn't say to do so on the packet). And this from a girl who graduated with a Psychology degree last year? |

I'm the one who does the dopey things at our house. And don't ask her what. Not enough room here to type it all...

Where do I start ..... most recent that comes to mind is as follows .... I recently brought home some rather big and nice looking blue swimmer crabs that I'd scooped while prawning , that I was planning to cook .... big strong and very sharp nippers .... I warned they were still alive when I brought them inside but that didn't stop her from reaching into the heshan sugar bag I had the crabs in and .... you've guessed it she immediates started screaming in pain to get it off .... one of the crabs had a vice like hold on her thumb and no matter how hard she shook her hand or pulled on the other free nipper it refused to loosen the grip .... in fact she said it was grabbing her thumb even tighter and harder . I wound up having to get a fillet head screw driver to lever the nipper from hell open , as it was impossible to pull the nipper open by hand .... strong critters big blue swimmer crabs and when they grab something it's for keeps !!! The upper end of the nipper had penetrated through her finger nall and only stopped when it hit bone, the other had penetrated through to be bone too. A trip to the ER and a few stitches and a tetanis injection later , she's got a very sore and blue llooking thumb and hopefully she's learnt to be heed my warnings and to be careful about big crabs ..... She got her revenge on the offending crab when we got home from the hospital by dropping it while it was still alive and kicking into the big pot full of boiling sea water .... and eating it the next day ..... She's normally quite bright but got a little flustered when she was running late and had several things to do in an afternoon. My wife started the car and backed right into the garage door. I heard this WHOOOMMM and SCREEEACH and went running out into the garage. "Sweetie, pull the car forward and turn it off." I got the dent out of the garage door (a hammer, block of wood, muscle, and pushing against it) that afternoon, but it took Nissan to get the dent out of the rear bumper of her Maxima. |
