My new toy , had to wait 3 months for it come from Vixen in Japan . Arrived yesterday mine is the New Atlux and has the latest controller (not the old Skysensor2000PC shown in the picture). It's a beast , makes my old Celestron mount look like a toy. Weight = HEAVy , will make my muscles work moving it and the heavy duty tripod about to do astroimaging at my favourate dark site. I considered the next one up , the Galax , but it's not a portable GEM , is meant to go onto a permanent pier in an observatory. Autoguider on the way too. Edited by somerled, Jun 6 2008, 02:55 PM.

So if I contact "Vixen" in Japan, I can get my very own boy toy shipped straight to my front door? |

No, 'Trep. Somerled is, quite correctly, discussing 'boy toys', not 'toy boys'

Sure can , via your local national distributor. You'll might need a crane to get it out of the box , did I say it's heavy ? no plastic in it - it's all metal. |

I will be putting my 10" newtonian astrograph on top of it, It's portable too . My other telescope is way too big to be portable , I'll be building a trailor fork equatorial mount for it. Edited by somerled, Jun 6 2008, 11:16 PM.
