Has anybody ever used Linux os before?

I once ran a CD bootable Linux distro, Knoppix. It was neat playing around with, but it was unbelievely slow as it had to run everything from the CD ROM drive, especially on older PC such as mine.

I really didn't use Knoppix very much; not enough to see all the included features/programs, so I can't accurately answer your question.
