H.O.T's Wu Jiok Posts: 8,472 Group: Advanced Members Member #18 Joined: June 23, 2003	With shows like So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With the Stars it aint surprising that MTV decided to tackle a dance competition show. What's surprising is that it doesn't involve any ballet, pase doble, or tango of any kind. It's all about hardcore Hip Hop dance crews battling their way to the top. Honestly, finally a show that focuses on the good stuff and leaves the rest out the window. Sure is nice to see hip hop people who've never danced Latin music have a chance at it and determining the best dancer. Still, one always wished that everything was just about one thing and the one thing that in my opinion would entertain me the most were the hip hop dance routines. Dance crews on the show are Kabba Modern, Jabbawockeez, Live in Color, BreakSK8, Iconic, Status Quo, Enigma Dance Kru, Fysh N Chicks, and Femme 5. The show first aired on February 7 and it's up to it's 2nd episode so far. It airs Thursdays at 10 pm. Guys i suggest you check it out. Plus, in Kabba Modern there's a BoA look-alike. haha

I'm kinda angry about it because when you compare both crews Fysh N Chicks haven't been the most consistant and last week Live in Color did a stellar performance while the girls didn't even get halfway there. Part of me thinks the girls we let off the hook just to keep the pressence of an all girl crew on the show. Another part of me thinks they purposely chose the girls to create this controversial moment on the show to boost ratings and have everyone talk about it just like i am doing right now. Live In Color were not the best but they were worthy of staying on the show. BreakSk8 and the girls are nothing in comparison.

Last week they were saved by a miracle because they knew they didn't stand a chance against Live In Color but apparently the skies opened and the judges saw the light in them and saved them. Not to mention that BreakSk8 did one h*ll of a performance this week. So much so that it certified them as a true contender and one to be worried about. So, if i were in any of the crews i'd be pretty scared right now of BreakSk8. In many was BreakSk8 kinda stole the show but all them did amazing with Status Quo being the weakest IMO.

What wasn't a surprise was to see BreakSk8 go seeing as they were against Kaba Modern... that's like newcomer Orlando Bloom winning against Brad Pitt... aint no happening no way. lol In my opinion, though, this was Kaba's weakest performance but they still did good. JabbaWockeeZ WAS the highlight of the show and Status Quo did all right.

Let me explain. Supposedly, the crew with the most votes was Status Quo (allegedly) and so they made it safe to the last round. Now, i find that extremely hard to believe seeing as everyone's been talking bout Jabba and Kabba. Now it should've been Jabba at #1 and then have Status and Kaba face off and have Status go home... But, this wasn't the case. It has led me to believe many things. 1, the owner if the show Randy Jackson may be rigging the show so that Status wins since the group comes from a poor background, have no money, and no cars. 2, both Kaba and Jabba are both West coast crews and so MTV didn't want to either eliminate or alienate a certain core of the population and on top of it make it a East Vs West battle since Status is an East coast team. 3, the idea of Status Quo winning could make quite the success story and give it more ratings. 4, JabbaWockeeZ kinda have already won seeing as they're already selling merchandise, are featured in Step Up 2, and gotten a ton of exposure from the show. 5, with that said MTV may think is only fair to give it to Status Quo who really needs it... I hope that's all BS cause so far i have voted 300 times online and am voting by phone. JabbaWockeeZ cannot loose! If anything to avenge the rightful place of Kaba Modern which in my opinion was taken from them.
