I was reading through what’s normally junk mail at my place, and there was a notice on a flyer from Comcast: AZN is "moving to digitial positions in early October and a digital receiver will be required" That is, it’s no longer being offered in my area as part of the $60-level Standard Cable package. This used to be called the International Channel, and they had aired many anime uncensored and uncut, and housed our favorite music video programs. I know it took a major dive after dropping Zoomad shows, which I think was the biggest mistake the network ever did, but at least it continued to showcase up and coming asian-american artists and shows. Not to say the network is dead, but I can't justify pushing my cable bill into triple digits. Bye AZN. It was nice watching you :( |

i feel your pain, angus T_T at least you had it a couple years longer than i did...i couldnt go digital either for $ reasons...tho it seems they're showing some cool stuff now...but to drop Zoomad shows, MVH, KMC, and Revo...bad move on their part |

tried googling zoomad to see if i can find anything...all i could find was that the site went down...not that it was ever up to begin with...seemed frozen in time from the beginning. and i found this lil white dog posting a very similar thread in a game forum ^_^ |

Oh, AZN's no longer in the starter package but the Digital Basic now. Heh. DVD Rental service (16.99) or Digital Cable (14.99). Tough choice, not. |
