The Natural Playboy Posts: 3,793 Group: Admin Member #2 Joined: June 21, 2003	WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS - OCTOBER 5, 2007 10/05/2007 FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN �" Friday, October 5, 2007 Dayton, OH 8:00 �" SmackDown opens tonight with a flashback of Vince on ECW telling everyone about John Cena’s injury and how Cena had to surrender the title. Batista’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring. “For the 5 years that I’ve been with the WWE, I’ve faced all types of opponents and been in all types of matches. I’ve been Champion, I’ve been challenger and everything in between, but I’ve never been in a situation like I’ll be this Sunday at No Mercy. Let me explain it to you, here’s how it works. Surrounding the ring is a 16-foot cage with 4 escape doors. If you’re lucky enough to make it out, there’s another cage, 20 feet tall with razor sharp spikes on the top. The only way out is to make it over that 20 feet cage. It doesn’t sound like a Punjabi Prison, it sounds like a chamber of Horrors. And to make it worse I’m stuck with a 7-foot tall 400lber with a bad attitude. Khali has an advantage.” Batista gets cut off by Khali who appears on the Titan Tron to say a whole bunch of things that I didn’t understand. They claim he says, “Impossible doesn’t quite describe your situation. You’re stepping inside a situation that’s strikes fear in the hearts of people. There will be no escape from the torture, from the pain. People who get locked in the Punjabi Prison lost their sanity, etc. But Khali promises you’ll lose something more precious, you’ll lose your World Heavyweight Championship” “Khali, you have no idea what it’s like being locked in a cage with an Animal.” Batista’s music hits and the crowd goes nuts. *COMMERCIAL BREAK* 8:13 �" Back from commercial break with Chuck Palumbo doing his Undertaker impression complete with Michelle McCool. CHUCK PALUMBO vs. ACE STEEL The pair lock up and Palumbo picks up Steel and slams him into the corner then drags him by the leg to the center of the ring and punches him in the mouth knocking him down. Palumbo picks up steel and slams him down to the mat and goes for the cover. 2 count. Steel tries to get a leg up on Palumbo and uses the ropes to run at Palumbo but Palumbo catches him and slams him to the mat. Palumbo picks up Steel and slams him down. Steel gets up and gets a boot to the face. Palumbo picks up Steel and hits the full throttle goes for the cover. WINNER �" CHUCK PALUMBO Chris Masters runs out and gets Palumbo in the master lock. To no one’s surprise or interest, Palumbo doesn’t break out of the master lock. They then show a promo for the upcoming Rey Mysterio vs. Khali match. *COMMERCIAL BREAK* 8:22 �" Back from commercial break with Jimmy Wan Yang heading out. JIMMY WANG YANG vs. JAMIE NOBLE Jimmy starts out with an attempted kick to Noble’s head. Noble doges and the pair grapple. Noble holds Yang by the waist, Yang reverses and takes control. Noble takes Yang down with a drop toehold. Noble works on Yang’s arm. Yang goes to the ropes, uses them to flip himself free. Yang grabs Noble’s arm and twists is around. Noble rolls around to break free. Noble gets Yang in a headlock; Yang gets out and chops Noble. Yang whips Noble into the corner then kicks him in the chest. Yang takes Noble down and goes for the cover. 2 count. Yang works on Noble’s arm. Noble struggles to get up and grabs Yang and slams him to the mat. Noble kicks Yang, grabs him and hits a neck breaker and goes for the cover. 2 count. Noble uses the ropes to choke Yang. Noble picks up Yang and slams him to the mat. Noble picks up Yang by the head and gets him into a European headlock. Yang breaks free bounces off the ropes and rolls Noble into the cover. 2 count. Noble takes down Yang and gets him in a submission hold. Yang fights to get to his feet and elbows Noble in the stomach. Noble goes to slam Yang down but Yang reverses and takes him down and goes for the cover. 2 count. Noble gets up and stomps on Yang then goes for the cover. 1 count. Noble gets Yang in another submission hold. Noble drives Yang into the ringpost. Yang kicks Noble in the head, then dives off the ropes onto Noble. Yang kicks Noble several times then dives at him in the corner. Yang overshoots and lands on his feet outside of the ring. Yang gets back in, climbs onto the ropes and takes Noble down with a cross body and goes for the cover. 2 count. Yang climbs the ropes for a moonsault but Noble moves. Yang jumps over the ropes but Noble catches him, slams him to the mat and goes for the cover. WINNER �" JAMIE NOBLE They show the Diva search obstacle course. *COMMERCIAL BREAK* 8:39 �" Back from commercial break with the Tag Team Title Match. MVP and Matt Hardy head out “Matt, I was thinking we have this match for our tag titles, but before we get into that, we should have a little contest so I can once again prove why I am better than you. We’ll do something that will be a warm up for the match. Because I’m stronger, more athletic and WAY more endurance than you do, we’ll have a push up contest. Can you handle that? I hope it won’t wear you out.” “I think I can handle that. You’re on” “I hope this won’t wear you out because I assure you we won’t lose this match because of me. Here are the rules. We’ll both do push-ups side by side and the first man whose chest touches the canvas is the loser.” MVP stalls but Matt does a few pushups then gets up, annoyed. They start again and do them together. They get to 33 and MVP knocks Matt’s arm out from under him so Matt loses. Deuce and Domino make their way out. MVP & MATT HARDY vs. DEUCE & DOMINO Matt and Domino start the match off. The pair lock up and Domino gets Hardy in a headlock. Hardy takes Domino down. Domino gets up and yells something to Hardy. Hardy gets Domino in his corner and tags in MVP. Hardy takes Domino down and MVP goes for the cover. 1 count. Domino gets free and tries to whip MVP across the ring. MVP reverses and takes Domino down and starts working on his arm. MVP & Domino get into MVP’s corner and Hardy tags himself in. Domino gets to his corner and tags in Deuce. Deuce gets Hardy in the corner and nails him with an elbow and goes for the cover. 1 count. Hardy punches Deuce taking him down. Hardy gets Deuce in the corner and goes to whip him across the ring and Deuce reverses and whips Hardy into the corner. Hardy climbs the ropes and dives off with an elbow. Domino tries to interfere but MVP helps out and Domino ends up over the ropes and out of the ring. Hardy throws Deuce over the ropes and MVP nails both of them. Hardy jumps off the ropes onto them. MVP looks annoyed to be shown up by Hardy. *COMMERCIAL BREAK* *WARNING…SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINES I MESSED UP DEUCE AND DOMINO’S NAMES AND I CAN’T GO BACK TO FIX IT BECAUSE I’M NOT SURE WHERE THE MISTAKE FIRST HAPPENED… 8:58 �" Back from commercial break with Deuce and Hardy back in the ring. Deuce has Hardy in the headlock on the mat. Hardy gets to his feet and punches Deuce in the stomach. Deuce pushes Hardy into this corner and tags in Domino. Domino nails Hardy with an elbow to the head. Domino taunts MVP then tags in Deuce again. Deuce slams Hardy to the mat then goes for the cover. 2 count. Hardy gets to his corner and tags in MVP. MVP starts punching Deuce and then nails him with a dropkick. MVP punches Deuce a few times. Domino pulls down the top rope so MVP goes right out of the ring. MVP rolls back into the ring and Deuce goes for the cover. 1 count. Deuce picks up MVP and tags in Domino who jumps off the ropes onto MVP. Deuce gets MVP in a backbreaker. MVP kicks Deuce in the head to get free but Deuce grabs MVP and keeps him from getting a tag. Deuce slams MVP to the ground and tags in Domino. Domino steps on MVP and taunts him. Deuce goes for a leg drop but MVP rolls away. MVP goes for the cover but a tagged in Domino dives and stops him and goes for the cover. 2 count. Domino gets MVP a submission hold. MVP breaks free and Deuce tags in Domino. Domino gets to MVP before he can tag in Hardy. Domino throws him in the corner and MVP elbows Deuce and Domino alternating between the pair. MVP ends up outside the ring and with the ref distracted; Deuce slams MVP into the ring. Domino pulls MVP back into the ring and works on MVP’s back. MVP struggles to get to his feet and breaks free and tires to get the tag but Deuce stops him. Deuce slams him to the mat and goes for the cover. 2 count. Deuce gets MVP in a Boston crab. MVP finally gets the tag and Hardy gets in the ring to face off against Domino. Hardy takes down Domino then punches Deuce. Hardy takes Domino down with a bulldog and goes for the cover. 2 count. Hardy tries for the side effect but Domino gets out. Deuce runs in and Hardy hits the side effect on him. Domino comes up behind Hardy but MVP hits him with a low blow and Hardy turns around and takes down Domino and goes for the cover. WINNER �" MATT HARDY & MVP As MVP & Matt Hardy make their way out, Kane’s pyro goes off and he heads out to the ring. COMMERCIAL BREAK 9:10 �" Back from commercial break with Kane beating on Kenny Dykstra in a match that they started during commercial break. Kane gets Kenny in the corner and starts punching him. Kenny punches Kane and goes to use the ropes for momentum but Kenny runs into the big boot. Victoria puts Kenny’s foot on the ropes. Kane glares at Victoria. Kenny gets the upper hand and starts beating on Kane. Kenny tries to lift up Kane but can’t and Kane picks up Kenny but Kenny lands on his feet. Kenny gets Kane in the corner and works on him. Kane kicks Kenny in the chest then nails him with an upper cut followed by a clothesline. Kane kicks Kenny and goes for the cover. 2 count. Kenny gets up and hits Kane in the jaw with a dropkick. Kenny kicks Kane a few times then goes to whip Kane across the ring but Kane counters. Kenny takes Kane down and goes for the cover. 2 count. Kane takes Kenny down several times then Kane whips Kenny into the corner and runs at him, hitting him with a clothesline. Kane picks up Kenny and hit shim with the side slam. Kane climbs the ropes and hits Kenny with a clothesline and goes for the chokeslam then the cover. WINNER �"KANE COMMERCIAL BREAK 9:20 �" Back from commercial with the flashback of Teddy Long having a heart attack. Backstage Vickie is saying that Teddy’s out of his coma, but he’s in no condition to go back to work, and Vince appointed her general manager. MVP & Matt go into Vickie’s office. MVP tires to convince Vickie that since MVP faced Kane last week, it’s only fair that Matt Hardy face Kane’s brother Undertaker. Vickie says she has a better idea, that it’ll be Kane and Undertaker vs. Matt Hardy and MVP. Again we need to see John Cena getting injured. Sorry folks, but if you don’t know about this happening yet, then you’re clearly not a wrestling fan, shut off the TV and let the rest of us enjoy a nice Cena free 6 �" 8 months. Cole then tells us that Cena has undergone surgery and JBL says that there will be a new Champion crowned at No Mercy. COMMERCIAL BREAK 9:30 �" Back from commercial break JESSE & FESTUS vs. TOLLAR & COLLYER Bell rings and Festus and Tollar starts off the match. Festus takes down Tollar and then grabs Collyer and shoves him down too. Festus grabs Tollar’s head and head butts him. Festus tags in Jesse. Jesse does an odd little run then flips Tollar to the mat. Jesse picks up Tollar again and slams him down. Jessie slides out of the ring between Tollar’s legs then yanks his leg and knocks Tollar down. Jessie gets on the ropes but Collyer knocks him down when the ref’s not looking. Tollar takes advantage then tags in Collyer. Collyer gets Jesse in the corner and punches him. Jesse fights back. Collyer flips Jessie to the mat and goes for the cover. 1 count. Collyer picks up Jesse and slams him to the mat then hits him with an elbow drop. Jesse crawls over to get the tag but Collyer yanks him back. Jesse gets free and tags in Festus. Festus gets Collyer in the corner. Tollar dives on Festus’ back. Festus tosses Tollar out of the ring then takes down Collyer and goes for the cover. WINNER �" JESSE & FESTUS Jessie grabs the mic “That is the face of a true competitor and the man who just won his debut match on SmackDown” COMMERCIAL BREAK 9:40 �" Back from commercial with a rundown of the No Mercy matches and then a set up for the Mysterio/Khali match. Mysterio makes his way to the ring. COMMERCIAL BREAK** 9:49 �" Back from commercial break with Khali making his way to the ring. REY MYSTERIO vs. GREAT KHALI The two stare each other down. The bell rings and we get to watch Mysterio bounce around the ring and Khali try to catch him. Mysterio kicks Khali then hurries away. Mysterio goes and kicks Khali again and backs off. Mysterio lands several kicks on Khali before Khali shoves him away. Mysterio gets up and comes right back at Khali only to have Khali take him down with a clothesline. Khali picks up Mysterio and slammed him into the corner then stepped on his head. Khali picks up Mysterio and whips him into the corner then holds up his arms. Khali kicks Mysterio then watches him roll across the ring. Khali grabs Mysterio’s shoulder muscle. Mysterio gets to the ropes and Khali breaks the hold. Khali grabs Mysterio’s shoulder again and then kicks Mysterio through he ropes. Mysterio does 619 using the ringpost. Mysterio climbs the ropes but Finlay runs out and Mysterio chooses to dive onto Finlay instead. The ref calls for the bell. The match is over. Rey and Finally fight back and for the then Khali gets in the ring and Khali grabs Rey and gets him in the vice. Batista runs out to help Rey. Batista nails Khali with a steel chair.
