SG Wannabe, the Most Popular Band among Noraebang-goers
2005-07-05

The songs by male trio SG Wannabe were found to be the most sung music by visitors to noraebang, or karaoke rooms, in Korea. TJ Media, a company specializing in karaoke machines and contents, announced the results of a survey of the most sung songs by noraebang customers during the first half of this year. According to the results, SG Wannabe put 5 of their songs on the top of the charts since the end of last year becoming the band whose songs were most enjoyed by karaoke users. For the past 6 months, the songs originally by SG Wannabe were sung a total of 3,053,844 times at karaoke rooms nationwide. The songs were “Timeless,” “The Story,” “Crime and Punishment,” “In Life” and “Insanity.” On the chart, rock band Buzz, Yoon Do-hyun, MC the MAX and Park Hyo-shin followed proving that ballads are more popular among people who visit karaoke rooms to sing songs.
