Yes, should Revolution end it's ties with J-Pop? Like Vic mentioned before, we already have a J-Pop show on Fridays called Pop Japan TV. In addition, most of us tune in because of K-Pop, not because of J-Pop. Still, having J-Pop is cool but it's not necessary. Revolution rocked before the addition of Japanese music videos and it certainly can rock without them. But, unless a huge demand of people are fed up with the J-Pop being shown on the show, i doubt they'll get rid of it. Actually, i think they can't do that because it would show a negative image to the show taking out something they themeselves added to improve it. However, unless they come up with a new name for the show, sort of like a new begining, that be the only way for they to truly focus on one thing. Yet, out of the options, i chose "Yes, but replacing it with C-Pop". I myself miss alot C-Pop and since Chinese Top 20's departure from I-Channel, i've been praying for a Chinese music video dedicated show. It be same as the J-Pop we now have in Revolution where the majority are only watching cause of K-Pop, but at least here we can't say "We have a C-Pop show". I wish, though. Now, one last thing, if they could add all these genres K-Pop, J-Pop, and C-Pop that be awesome, but it be too much to ask and certainly not appealing to all viewers.

But in view of how I-Channel seems to have spanked KMC, who is only KPOP, that may not be such a good idea. Personally I like about 80% of KPOP 60% of JPOP and 0% of CPOP... //Seoul

Semi-Newbie Posts: 12 Group: Member Member #6,554 Joined: March 3, 2005	this thread hasnt been posted on in a long time but o well. i dont think that revolution should drop jpop because, personally, kmc and revolution is where i find most of the new music i listen to. so if they dropped jpop i would lose my main souce of finding new jpop. pop japan tv was mentioned but, if im not mistaken, i do believe that is only sony music artist. i do like korean music more but still a balance is necesary, and, at the very least, wanted by me^^ they should just make all the shows longer so as to satisfy ur kpop thirst^^

C_Beyond ((chunsa oppa)) Posts: 10,993 Group: Admin Member #8 Joined: June 22, 2003	yep, longer shows...or more shows.... personally, i love jpop, of course not as much as kpop, but i still love it, and it really is evolving. and i would love to see some cpop...i only saw Chinese Top 20 a few times while i had International Channel...errr...i mean AZN TV, lol...but i did like it alot, and i was curious about the genre...and cantonese is such a beautiful language too, different from korean and japanese, which have a beauty all their own. k, all asian music, 24 hours a day....thats the only answer ^_^

I want more J-Pop, and PopjapanTV pretty much sux. right on, ssasami. I like PJTV's interview segments, but can't stand the butchering of the video clips. Like the one recent time they had Asian Kung-Fu Generation's Rewrite Song Live, they cut to commercial halfway through. What's with that???? I also keep missing taping PJTV cause of the 2:30am PT time on AZN.
