Why are we here? To just live, experience many things and die? It's not that simple i guess. But, why do things must always happen the least way you expect? Why can't things happen the way you want? I mean, is our lives some kind of sick joke in which God always surprises us in the end? Sure i have invision certain events i want to occur in my life. But no matter how hard i try to expect the unexpected, God always finds a way to surprise me...isn't that lovely? I guess, if one knew everything to come, where'd be the fun in that, right? That just makes me laugh. Which brings me to my first question again, why are we here? And even though sometimes there is no answer to a question, i wish there was one. Because life sucks and i at least would like to have an answer as to why i'm here. Heck, that would make it all worth it. I mean, aren't you more satisfied when you have a reason as to why your life sucks? |

well, there are so many different ways of viewing this question (ie. religion) you know, this could be a good debate question... *truly doesn't have anything to say*... -_- i guess i've never really truly thought about that.... i mean, sure, i've heard of the religious beliefs and stuff like that... but i've never actually taken notice... grr... >.< this is the time when you need angelo or edwin to answer... they're friggin philosophical wackos... xD |

Is there a possiblilty that we're here to learn? Perhaps we're here to gather information and experience? I argue that the worst day, on a one-to-ten scale is not a one, but rather a "five". 'cause you didin't learn anything. If everything turned out the way you wanted/expected, then why be here in the first place? Here's something else to consider. So we live in a "three" demensional area. (Ok, 4 if you consider "time" as a demension.) But what if there are a sixth and seventh, and eighth demension. Perhaps the "horsepower" we have "under the hood" would not be able to handle all those complexities. So, again, I suggest that perhaps we're here to learn. Just my 24 won worth. //Seoul |

Lady Jiyoung...a philosophycal wacko... LOL! Good one!
:) Nicely put, Vic, makes you think. Why are we here...would you really take my word for it if i gave you the real answer out of pure luck? I mean, if what i said was the real true reason as to why we're here? I think there is no one definitive look as to why we're here, i think anyone's opinion on the subject is a potential answer. It's more up to you to come up with a reason as to why we're here. That reason might not concur with everyone, but it concurs with you and that makes it true. I myself think we're here to choose what we want to do, not to just roll over and die. |

Seoul Survivor, interesting view on it. I guess within your theory also falls learning from our mistakes. It's like you can be the smartest kid in the world, but there's always stuff left to learn. Yo-Tai-Keizuke, perhaps your right, just like Seoul Survivor is right. Angel, wow, that's deep! So short, yet so to the point. So, what you're saying is that we're here to look back on things as we move foward to the future? I guess you're theory is closer to that of Seoul Survivor's, because one often looks back on things to learn from our life and to implement that in the later future. |

we are here to experience, to learn about life. we learn from our mistakes. i live on through life because i am seeking something. You might be too, or maybe you are still here because you cherish someone/something so much that you cannot let go. Life is hard, nothing goes your way, it is your choice if you want to go on through life with all this trouble or you could just not do anything and die. We have an opportunityto do almost anything we want, why wait....... something i wanted to say, not sure if it makes sense... -Binh |

Life Changes... But memories are forever Never forget the things you've experienced; always remember them. Refuse to forget them, and apply the lessons you've learned to your life. Lastly, share them, for they are something no money can buy... Be who you are, and say what you feel, 'cuz those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ~ Dr. Seuss Instant Message me on AIM whenever you are bored, I love chatting with people

Binh, it makes a LOT of sense. Please also consider, life is very hard, but for those of us in the US, it is easier than most people have it. ("Carpy's AGCT") So it is often worse....... And, in truth, you do always have the "choice"... //Seoul |

I applaud your humor. But, i think the question was directed in general, not just one person. And is why, not how. |
