When I saw the title to this thread, I literally screamed. Then, I remembered that my mom was talking to some people in the kitchen, so I covered my mouth and screamed some more. That was even BEFORE I read anything you said, Edwin. I was like, OMFG!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAH!!!! In fact, I almost CUSSED I was so excited.....but, I don't think my mom would have liked that very much, hehehe.... Anyway, OMG!!! Dude.....that took guts. Not only were you doing something today's society would completely outcast as different, but you stood out from the crowd and did a thing extremely romantic and you also went against your fears!!! I mean, things could have gone horribly wrong, but you stuck to it!!! OMG!!! I bet you're so glad you did something. Oppa, I applaud you a standing ovation. You are my inspiration!!! Faith.....that's Unni's middle name, hehe! A beautiful name, if I say so myself, hehe......Oppa, if you and Faith, you know, get married......I will tell my children, and my grandchildren, and my great-grandchildren your story. I'll say, "Yeah, I once knew a nice chap, Edwin. Yeah, you know, that famous poet? I'm sure you wee ones have heard of him in school. I knew him, yes. I remember when he met his future wife-to-be in a Blockbuster, believe it or not. He did a thing not many men do, and that was to step away from society and do something uncommon. He wrote a beautiful poem for a girl who often checked out movies......that set the stage for everything that was to come......" I SWEAR, I'll be saying that. Edwin Oppa, Blockbusters are magical places. I swear. Not only because of your story, but becuase someone I know met this really, really cute guy in a Blockbuster, and he's really nice and everything.....sadly enough, though, we think he's too old for her......but I still think Imma meet my future husband in a Blockbuster! And the day I do, I'll report directly to AMR. ^_~ Hehe. So, now I guess, all we have to do is sit back and wait for Faith to show up again......if she's Korean, I will SCREAM! Haha.....again, that is. Scream again.....I already screamed once.....^-^* If she comes back, Oppa, you better, I dunno, hack into the Blockbuster computer system, access the internet, and POST ASAP!!!! Though, during this weekend, at one point i felt frustraded because i'm in love... :) You see, the first name as i awake is Faith, same as i go to sleep. Not a second gone by she's not in my mind. Even when playing video games or doing anything, she's my everything. Any client that enters Blockbuster is a potential Faith no matter odds agaist me. And, SooJin, Stella, is like i no longer think about them as much... (Angelo, SooJin's still mine, don't get any ideas lol). Also, that church Jessica told me about, i think i know where it is, but, i'm afraid to go...and now each time i pass near a church, i get nervous, i feel like i know Faith is there and my heart starts beating fast... heh :) Anyway, i no longer feel frustraded and that much infatuated with Faith. Because i realize that, rushing things won't solve anything. I'm just hoping she comes and if she does, i swear i'll bow down, because i know she must be feeling akward and for her to visit BB even though she knows how i feel, it's quite a task. In the end, i'm just gonna day each day as it comes and if i got to meet her and she asks me "What are your goals?", i would answer with "I want to live, i want to love". :)

I'm not liking this too much. a) She's picky b) after two months her friend shows up, c) you give her the poem, you've been dragging around, and d) nobody bothers to show up. Edwin, I think it is time to continue your search. If she shows up, before you're committed to someone else, fine, if not, then so be it. AFter all the effort you've put in, at the very least she should have been kind enough to stop by and say "sorry". I seriously doubt that she's sitting in the closet, waiting for her batteries to charge, or her tea to brew. I know you invested a lot into this, BUT will it be worth it if she says, "no" or even if nothing happens at all? You don't want to just hang on to a girl that may or may not show up. This has been going on for months now. You know how many other oppurtunities you might've missed because of that? Faith MIGHT be a great catch, but so can anyone else if you invested the time in them and it might've worked better, too. I've had my experiences with things like this. Gone through it PLENTY of times. Crushes are fun to have, but don't put your hopes or your "faith" into that alone if it's only you. Sure, maybe with time she could have something for you, but you don't even see her on a regular basis. You seem very passionate (or at least are able to articulate it well online) about things like your emotions. So if this is to crash, I'd imagine you'd be hurt pretty bad. And you'd be hurt over something that might not have been anything at all and that seems worse. At least if you're to get hurt, it should be for something you already have not something waiting to happen. Sorry for the ramblings. Something just sparked in me just now. Just looking out for your best interest. If things work out, great, but don't neglect the downside to stuff like this (which I've noticed people do often).

One of the bestest breakups I have been through, was with a wonderful woman, who saw I was way "out of my pond". (She was FARRRRRR advanced of me socially). She gave me a very nice note, changed out of my calculus class, and about six weeks later, called me, to see how I was doing, and to offer a friendship. This woman, (Her name is Christine, not our Christine, but I'm sure our Christine is just as classy) is far on the other side of average, from the one you're after. But stopping by, or at least a simple phone call, saying something like, "Um, this isn't easy, but this won't work. Would hurt you, but also give you closure, and a place to start from. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. If she's "picky", then she's been "around the block" a few times. And surely has been hurt as well. It's just she didn't learn from her being hurt, not to hurt others. Nuts. //Seoul

Thing is, they were with friends (whom I still talk to). One of them was harder since there were more emotions there. And I never handled breakups well. The only 2 girlfriends I had, I cried each time things ended. With Edwin's situation, the girl has no attachment to him other than that he works at a place she went to rent videos from. If she didn't want to do anything about this, she could just easily go to another Blockbuster location or any other video store for that matter. And if she really doesn't care, she doesn't even have to acknowledge him if she ever saw him again. Thus leaving Edwin either still hoping or let down pretty bad. Don't paint a perfect image of a person before you get to know them. Not every one of them is a masterpiece to admire.

But, you guys are right. I shouldn't be waiting on someone that might not be, might not happen for me. So, like Vic said, i'm just gonna take each day as it comes, if Faith shows up, great, if not, that's cool. Although, Vic, you think Faith might be picky because she's been hurt. But, there's a possibility that she’s picky because of shallow reasons. I mean, ,sure I am hot and sexy (lol), but I aint no Se7en, Kang Ta, or Hyesung when it comes to good looks. Also, before I read your responses guys, I had been feeling like Faith isn’t that important to me anymore. Sure she makes me feel as if I were in heaven, but, I’m not gonna let those feelings get the best of me. Of course, there’s one thing that could change all this, and that’s her appearance. That be enough for me to start another thread full of joy! (lol). In the end, she may seems like a bad person because she’s picky, because she hasn’t showed up…but, one look at her and…takes deep breath even picturing her makes me loose my breath. What I’m trying to say is that, I’ve never ever felt this way about someone. Then again, she’s my first. Anyway, there is another girl in case Faith does not happen. It’s the girl I told you guys “looses her eyes when she smiles” (not Asian, Puerto Rican). Whenever she drops by, we have lots of fun, she’s always smiling and we talk more than 10 seconds. So yeah. (: Jedi mind trick, huh? Good thinking Arnell. But, i got my own version of that...poetry. C'mon Vic, give me your best! lol And, sorry, Arnell, no free rental. I'm not even getting free rentals, what makes you think you will? heh P.S. Angelo, if faith is hope and hope is faith, then wouldn’t I be loosing hope if I lost Faith? (lol) just joking

Now, you wanna know why I said that? No? Well, too bad, you're hearing it anway. Edwin Oppa, I say, "Have fun while you're still young!!!" (and yes, you would be considered young, Oppa.....) Have fun. This is where you can enjoy yourself! I mean, you're old enough to go out with someone without having to go behind your parent's backs, yet your young enough to be able to get into a relationship that doesn't have to be, as I say, "Red Roses." (Translation: It doesn't have to be "let's-get-married serious.") If you feel that way about Faith, then do what your heart says. No one else can tell you what you feel in your heart. Now, I'm not dissing Vic Oppa or Arnell Oppa, or Angel Oppa, hehe......I'm just saying it's nice to hear advice and opinions from others, but let your heart and soul scream out with what you believe. Vic and Arnell and Angel Oppas have great advice, I mean, it could turn out bad, and they really, REALLY care about you and just don't want you to get hurt. Heck, I don't want you to get hurt! No one wants you to get hurt! And I'm not saying to completely mute them out, either. I'm simply telling you to listen to your heart.
