DANA 2003/11/28 Date of Birth: 1986/07/17 Debut: Till The End Of The World (2001, 1st album) Education: Cheongdam Middle School, currently enrolled in Hanam High School Physique: 168cm 48kg Hobbies: Internet surfing, singing, dancing, any sports, movies Biography The teenager singer DANA (Hong Sung Mi) is another great development by the SM Entertainment, where many other teenage pop singers, such as H.O.T and FinK.L, came from. Furthermore, DANA has been honing her skills since she was in the fifth grade. When she was 11 years old, DANA was picked out at an amusement park to participate in a music video; since then, Dana was training for four years to become a singer. However, before releasing her first album <Till The End Of The World> in 2001, she first grabbed the people’s attention through Kang Ta’s (a former member of H.O.T) music video of “Polaris.” After successfully marketing herself, it was just a matter of time for her to become popular when she released her songs. The first album especially was in the center of interest, because many songwriters, such as Kim Suk Chan and Park Hae Woon, who are known to be the “hit producers,” wrote songs for her. Furthermore, even the famous European composer Stefan Aberg wrote the title song “Till The End of The World” (Originally “Tell Me No More Lies”) for DANA. On October, 2003, DANA released her second album <Maybe>, and is continuing her popularity of the teenage singer. Discography: Till The End Of The World (2001): Till The End Of The World/ Diamond Maybe (2003): Maybe |
