i'm not exactly sure of the first kpop song i heard. i'm pretty sure it was at a club, and i was talkin to the DJ and they mentioned playing GOOFY and KOYOTE. first video i believe was CLON or PAGE, but the one that got me hooked was LEE JUNG HYUN's video for the song "joolae (give it to me)" back in 2001 i believe. |

the first song was some from DEUX, i can't remember it's name (track 3 from cd1 from a best of from DEUX) starting with a woman singing very high like waaaaahahahaha ... :music: Park JiYoon Sung In Shik was the first video, but friends told me that it was censored in Korea in former times (?) because of beeing able to see some parts of her stringtanga, the symbolic of the set of antlers in the background and even the content was something about loosing virginity (i was told so). mmmhh, will upload some pics soon to show :) [edit:] voila: Posted Image Posted Image |

Over here that one is known as "Adult Ceremony", and I also heard that it was censored by some channels in Korea. It was out last year. //Seoul |

thanks for information Vic, but with saying this do you mean beeing out uncensored or viewable in the usa? a korean friend showed me this video 'bout 4 years ago. i took this pictures from a version found two month ago, beeing to lazy to search for the older one stored on one of dozens backup cd's in my room. i can't remember any differences between both versions (so maybe they are the same). |

This is slightly unfair, because I got hooked on a face, not a song. XD I saw Kang Ta and was like, "I want all videos of him! SEXY DEVIL!!" Well, anyway... 1st song - Outside Castle (I watched a performance and saw Woo Hyuk do that flip... WOO~!!) 1st M/V - Git It Up (Kang Ta looked sooooo sexy!! *drools* I thought Tony looked like a girl. XD I also thought I'd never ever like him in a million years because he looked like a monkey. Now look at me! XD Eh, didn't like Hee Jun...still don't. I thought Jae Won was atheist and he scared me beyond belief...Woo Hyuk...hmm...didn't see much of him in the vid, but I was like, "Eh...he looks stupid just holding his hand out and turning around..." Now, I know that that's the first part of that dance sequence... XDD Funny how opinions change.) Wow... that was long... XD |

I'm a newbie to the kpop world, so I'd say those story ballads like Wax's The Reason I Love You. |

To me it was Terra's 'Evil Love'. Back then it was on Music Video Heaven around 2002 i think. It was the first video to start the show and the first one i saw. But, the one that got me hooked was H.O.T's 'I Yah'! Just seeing those guys in black dancing so cool and at the same time loving Woo Hyuk's voice and dance moves. It's funny because the first glimpse of K-Pop i got was way back at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. H.O.T won the award for Internation Viewers Choice and they showed a small clip of 'line Up'. |
