Well, first, read ONLY the FIRST posting. Rather than waste disk space, (which is very limited) I just erase my original posting, and put the newer numbers in there.) In fact, I will go and remove earlier postings, I can see why that is confusing. These are the numbers, as of tonite, that are being published. I"ve heard rumors that FPJ has, (for an undisclosed amount) "given up". But we will have to see. Remember the votes from Mindanao, which will be almost 100% for him, will be the last to be counted. (not including OCWs who aren't a large group, as far as voting goes.) I hope this helps! //Seoul |

ONLY on a text message, from the Phls. NOTHING more!! Hey, what did you thnk of my Ilocano in the "Kissing" thread?? I will continue to update the numbers, as I get new ones. They will replace the FIRST post in this thread, and add a later post, only to move the thread to the top of the list. //Seoul |

OOps, sorry David. The Philippines are having their presidential elections. And the results are VERY slow in coming in. I am keeping our FilAMs and Fil members up to date on the count. The main two candidates are one Gloria Magapacal-Arroyo, who is the incumbent (meaning she is already the current president, when "ERAP" was impeached. But he has LOTS of "crooked" money, and has sponsored a candidate, who he knows will pardon him, and release him from prison. The race is AMAZINGLY close. The Second candidate, "Fernando Poe Junior" is not even a High School graduate, but is only an actor, and is giving "GMA" a run for her money. So, I'm trying to make KMR a "full service" forum, and keep them up to date, without using up a lot of disk space. (I delete a LOT of my postings, just as I do with announcements of Revo and KMC being on...) //Seoul |

Hopefully no. And David, this isn't just an actor. He is a very corrupt very close friend to the president, another actor, who was impeached two years ago. BUT her is very popular in the province (state) of Mindanao, which I suspect will be the last area counted. Now I heard a RUMOR that the actor (Fernando Poe Jr.) will simply quietly leave the race. (This would certainly be the best thing for the Philippines). We will have to see. //Seoul |

Latest update, Satuday 8:15P, (Pacific) Yup Splitty, Bong Revilla is an actor too. Apparently in the last election, he went awry of ERAP, who basically did everything possible to be sure Bong Revilla didn't win, which he did not. Be sure to keep your shoes clean! Those are awfully close numbers. (GMA v FPJ) (Fortunately, for you, for me, and for the Philippines, votes from the Visayas haven shown up either, and they will almost certainly be very pro GMA. Let's keep our fingers crossed.) //Manila, oops //Seoul |
