Hi, first time posting in this section...Some of you might be familiar with this fiction if you've ever visited the FFL. I was in the process of writing this along with another fic called 'Foolish Games' but the two were never completed because of other things that demanded my time. I didn't get much feedback for this fiction and I don't wanna post my stories at soompi (critics there are brutal). There are other stories I have completed, however, but the administration here doesn't feel they are appropriate for anyone under 13, so I'll have to get them approved first. In the mean time, I hope you will enjoy this fiction, I am going to do my best to complete it as I post it here.

About the story: The name was inspired by my little brother when I was stuck on a title. I asked him for help and after describing the main idea of the story, he smartly commented that the idea was too common and had already been done >.< so he suggested I call it 'Already Been Done'

Already Been Done Part 1

"YonMi, he's on!" the girl merrily jumped off of the bed and over to the monitor.

"He's on?" YonMi ran back into her bedroom and climbed into her chair and...she waited.

"What are you waiting for?" the girl standing at her side lost patience and took the mouse into her hands double clicking on one of few names that had just lit up YonMi's list.

But YonMi took the mouse from her and closed the window before her friend could type a message. "Just wait, if he wants to chat, he'll message me."

"And what if he doesn't?"

"Then he doesn't, LeeJin," YonMi shook her head adamantly but the dissapointment was still evident in her eyes as few minutes had already gone by and it seemed that if she failed to initiate the conversation, she would not get to talk to him.

"We're off!" Just then a woman entered the room to announce that she and YonMi's father were about to leave. "Your sister's already gone, if you two need anything, the number to the restaurant is on the refridgerator."

"We'll be okay, Mom," YonMi assured her. "We ordered pizza."

YonMi saw her parents out, following them to the family room. "I really wish HyoLee had taken you with her, you two used to do everything together."

"We were ten," YonMi explained.

"But you both graduate next year, you should both be enjoying this time in your lives."

"Don't encourage her," YonMi's father stood in strong support of having one of his two daughter's still at home. "One out on the streets is one too many, if you ask me."

"She'll be fine, Pa," YonMi tried to put her parents at ease as she did many Saturday nights when the two would argue about which one was growing too fast and which one was...YonMi. "And LeeJin is staying over tonight, we'll be fine, we have lots planned, promise."

YonMi crossed her fingers behind her back as her parents kissed her good night and walked out of the house.

"Yeah, right," YonMi stood with her back against the door, for several minutes thinking about what her mother had said.

YonMi and HyoLee were born identical twins and were the best of friends up to middle school when HyoLee discovered boys and make up, two things that helped shape her social life leaving YonMi to pale in comparison. YonMi was more successful in the academy, a quiet, studious, overachieving...'dork.' Which was just as well, HyoLee was popular enough for the both of them, stylish, outgoing, and beautiful...'a goddess.'

In high school, YonMi shared but one interest with her sister, a guy. But HyoLee was the attention seeker, taking the action that YonMi would never dare to. In short, she lost many popularity battles to HyoLee, and therein lost the only guy she ever truly liked...up to now.

"YONMI, COME QUICK!"

YonMi ran back over to her room to find, her online buddy had finally sent her a message. She felt an indescribable sensation in the pit of her stomache as she tried to think of a brilliant reply to his...

TonyAhn: Hi
MiShy05: hi
MiShy05: Hi
TonyAhn: haha
TonyAhn: how are you?
MiShy05: good
MiShy05: how are you?
TonyAhn: good

"Well?" LeeJin pressured her.

"Well, what?"

"Is that all? I mean we waited for him all this time for this?"

YonMi knew LeeJin would not be impressed but "pretty much," she nodded.

"I don't think so! Get outta the way!" LeeJin tried to nudge her friend out of the chair and the two struggled until they heard the sound of another incoming message.

TonyAhn: sorry I took long to message you
TonyAhn: I was getting ready for my game
TonyAhn: but I can't stand the pressure

YonMi and LeeJin scrambled to their prior positions and YonMi proceeded to type back.

MiShy05: it's okay
MiShy05: important game?
TonyAhn: yeah, the biggest
TonyAhn: scouts are gonna be there
TonyAhn: I don't wanna mess up >.<

YonMi knew she probably wasn't the only person available on his list, which is why she too felt pressure to offer him support unlike any other and she did her best to put him at ease.

MiShy05: you wont
MiShy05: just play like they're not there
TonyAhn: but I wanna stand out
MiShy05: you already do
MiShy05: they're already there to see you
MiShy05: just do what you always do
TonyAhn: I don't know

"Mph! Just like a guy! I'm hungry!" LeeJin was less naive than YonMi who spent more time consoling sympathy seekers than fixing the things in her life that brought her down.

TonyAhn: so wut are you doing tonight?
MiShy05: not much hehe ^^
MiShy05: I'll wait for you
MiShy05: so you can tell me the good news
TonyAhn: =T thanks
MiShy05: =( I hope I didn't jinx you
TonyAhn: haha nah
TonyAhn: I like talking to you before a game
TonyAhn: beats the pep talks
MiShy05: really?
MiShy05: =P
TonyAhn: lol yes!

"Awww, how sweet. Ask him out!" LeeJin continued to hover over YonMi.

TonyAhn: gtg
TonyAhn: ttyl
TonyAhn: *muah*

"GASPS" LeeJin coughed.

MiShy05: <3<3<3
TonyAhn: haha
TonyAhn has signed off at 19:42

"What was that?" LeeJin watched as YonMi sighed dreamily in front of the monitor, cradling her head in her hands before reaching for her mouse again and saving the conversation onto her hard drive.

"He's so great..."

"And he so likes you," LeeJin added.

"You think so?" YonMi turned to her excitedly adjusting her specs.

"Of course! I can imagine him on the other side of the monitor *muah*" LeeJin playfully puckered her lips and batted her eyelashes.

YonMi shook her head, "That's what he always does, he probably does it with every girl on his list."

"Nu uh, he specifically said he likes talking to YOU."

"Whatever, let's go watch TV." YonMi refused to get her hopes up and routinely put her away icon up before following LeeJin into the family room.

Just then, a soft knocking was heard at the door, and YonMi ran back into her room, in search of money in her dresser for the pizza delivery guy.

She went back to open the front door, and the guy stood and greeted her with the same sullen smile as always. He never appeared to be too enthused, but YonMi sympathized with him as he somehow suffered the same fate as she, working on a Saturday night.

He was a tall, fairly thin guy, and the cap he wore most likely hid more appealing features. She was only able to identify his high cheek bones above a set of pinkish swollen lips.

"Thanks." He strolled carelessly away, a generous tip in his pockets from his favorite regular on the block.

----
Thanks for reading! I have quite a few chapters already ready to go for margin, so I will post one chapter each day consistently as I compose new chapters and hopefully if and when this story starts to lag, it wont be by much before it's finally complete. Thanks much!

Already Been Done Part 2

"YonMi, I'm on my way out, make sure everything is off!" HyoLee hollered as she closed the front door behind her.

Every morning, like every Saturday night was routine for YonMi. Her parents and her sister were the first to awaken. HyoLee left almost immediately after her parents and before YonMi was even out of bed. The popular crowd was known to mingle in front of the building early every morning.

YonMi would get up and get ready, books in hand before turning off the only thing left to turn off in the whole house, her life...which is to say, her computer.

One last look in the mirror to explain why, if at the end of the day, romance passed her by, yet again, 250 days into her Junior year. Her hair pulled back in a thick ponytail and some wide frames to hide her sister's features, droopy attire to hide her sister's figure...'perfect.'

She'd walk to school, rain, sleet, or snow, and always managed to make it in time for homeroom.

This particular morning, she actually arrived ten minutes ahead of schedule, allowing her to meet up with her small circle of friends which consisted of...namely faculty and LeeJin.

They discussed assignments due and what they'd be studying after school, along with whatever topic of discussion or 'gossip' was floating around in the halls.

"LeeJin?" their conversation was momentarily silenced when LeeJin suddenly bobbled her end of the dialogue. "LeeJin?" YonMi waved her hand left to right trying to flag down LeeJin's attention again. But LeeJin continued to stare helplessly over YonMi's shoulders.

Just then YonMi felt a slight gripping on her arm and turned agressively about face running her forehead right into his nose.

"Ouch!" he was slow to react and YonMi knew the damage wasn't much.

"WooHyuk! I told you about doing that!"

Over the course of the last month, encounters with WooHyuk also became routine. If she didn't arrive with enough time in the morning, he managed to track her down in gym, the only class she had with her sister's former boyfriend and her first real crush.

"Are you okay?" LeeJin tried to score some points with the senior boy, walking closer and examining his 'would be' wound.

"Yeah sure, I've had worse." WooHyuk joked. Always the tough guy. She remembers meeting him her sophomore year when WooHyuk was a Junior, one of the better looking, most masculine guys known throughout the student body. It was safe to assume, the Lee twins weren't the only girls who had an interest in him, but as LeeJin always suggested, the twin thing was rather rare and grabbed his attention...attention that HyoLee took for herself.

YonMi rolled her eyes watching her friend make nice with WooHyuk, before closing her locker and walking off.

"Hey YonMi!" WooHyuk again chased her down as she turned the corner. "Wait up!"

YonMi waited, standing firm against the wall as a crowd of students made their way past her.

"I have a favor to ask you." A few papers rolled up in one hand, he offered to walk her to class with another wrapped possessively around her neck. A gesture she wasn't always eager to escape but that was not too comfortable.

"Like I said, before. I don't know anything."

YonMi had already played informant for all of her sister's admirers and she assumed WooHyuk sought the same information.

"About what?" he listened to the same repetative rambling concering her sister's love life.

"If she's going to prom, who mighta asked her, or who she's considering going with. I know none of the above!" YonMi couldn't deny she was growing quite bitter with every other guy who approached her only to ask about her sister.

"Why is it that every time I try to talk to you, you always think it's about HyoLee?" WooHyuk himself was also growing agitated at the idea he was forever branded as HyoLee's ex-boyfriend in the eyes of YonMi.

"I don't know," YonMi shrugged sarcastically, "maybe because she's your girlfriend."

"EX, ex-girlfriend," WooHyuk frowned, stopping in front of YonMi's classroom. "And this has nothing to do with HyoLee, never has." He placed his hand affectionately on YonMi's shoulder as she turned to face him.

"Oookay," she watched his hand through the corner of her eye. "So, what do you want?"

"I was wondering if you could tell your sister-"

YonMi turned frustrated, but was immediatey pulled back by WooHyuk who laughed amusedly. "I'm just joking."

YonMi turned back to him, unimpressed, and waited for him to state his purpose one more time.

"I need some help in English Literature, and, I figured since you helped me before..."

Just then, a group of girls led by HyoLee gathered few feet away from where WooHyuk and YonMi were seen conversing.

"I don't know if I can make the time," YonMi wasn't comfortable with the idea of helping WooHyuk when he still had some unresolved drama with her sister...according to HyoLee who had yet to accept the fact that it was over.

"Of course you can," he insisted. "Final exams are more than six weeks away. What's a few days helping me?" YonMi was nearly persuaded by the charming expression on WooHyuk's face, twas a rather wide smile, very enticing. "And it's not like you even need to study. If I don't improve on literary interpretation, I'm the one who might not be graduating."

"WooHyuk, I really wish I could, but-"

"You can," WooHyuk was an extremely difficult person in every sense. It was hard to get his attention and it was twice as hard to shake him. The guy spewed confidence 24/7. "Here's the Shakespeare reading list," he handed her a paper rolled up in his hands. "Pick a story you're familiar with and we'll talk about it fifth period, okay?"

He pinched her chin tenderly, and smiled, an expression that always stayed with YonMi even after he was completely out of sight.

She walked into her classroom, and WooHyuk walked carelessly in the other direction, past the group of girls apparently keeping vigil over his affair with his ex-girlfriend's sister, one of them being his ex-girlfriend.

Already Been Done Part 3

During fifth period, LeeJin and YonMi watched many of their Junior classmates take on a group of Seniors-WooHyuk included-in a basketball game outside. Because their particular class was made up of an equal amount of Juniors and Seniors, there was no need to divide them into 'skins' and 'shirts' which took the fun out of the whole game for the spectators, the girls.

"Did you see HyoLee?" LeeJin gave YonMi an enthusiastic jolt every time WooHyuk looked in their direction.

"Not since the last time you asked me." YonMi adjusted her frames again as she tried to study the list while watching the game and dodging LeeJin's blows to the side.

"Her eyes were so green with envy when she saw you and WooHyuk together," LeeJin declared...again.

"Nah, those are just contacts."

"Come on, YonMi," LeeJin tried to get her worked up about the idea. "WooHyuk is into you. It's obvious to me and it's obvious to HyoLee."

"Not likely," YonMi disagreed.

"Why is it so hard to accept that WooHyuk likes you?" LeeJin wondered out loud. "He's always looking at you and talking to you." YonMi continued to ignore LeeJin's claims to which LeeJin reacted, raising her voice. "Just admit that you still like WooHyuk!"

LeeJin unintentionally threw many of the players off of their games, and everyone else also looked in the direction of YonMi, trying to hide behind WooHyuk's reading list.

"What are you, crazy or something?" LeeJin smirked knowingly turning the other cheek. "Okay look, even if I was still interested in WooHyuk, it's not like he'd want to go out with me because of me."

LeeJin's head snapped immediately facing YonMi again.

"He chose HyoLee, and I just happen to look like her."

"Well, yeah, but you two are nothing alike beneath the surface, isn't it obvious?" YonMi shook her head, a curious rise in her brows. "He went out with HyoLee who lacked depth, and...was really...not nice." LeeJin tried to show respect for HyoLee in front of her sister. "He realized that he chose the wrong twin."

YonMi would've liked to give WooHyuk more credit than that.

"Sometimes people have to learn the hard way," LeeJin went on. "WooHyuk has. It's a common change in interest...well...about as common as twins are."

YonMi gave up trying to decode the ways of the whole twin brains vs. beauty, as it seemed pretty obvious judging by how popular HyoLee was that brains wasn't even in the same weight division.

The whistle sounded and the guys were instructed to leave the court and hit the showers, as the volleyball net went up and the girls would soon be directed onto mid-court.

Before heading completely off, WooHyuk walked over to where LeeJin and YonMi sat watching him play.

"So?" He leaned down in front of YonMi, still trying to catch his breath. "Did you pick a story?"

"...Sure," YonMi was still undecided, unable to make a decision with a distraction at her side. She quickly named any tragedy she spotted. "How about Julius Caesar?"

"How about Romeo and Juliet?" WooHyuk sat next to her. "It's the easiest to understand since I've already seen the movie with Claire Danes," he smiled, slick.

"That's why everybody's gonna be doing Romeo and Juliet. It's not going to prove you understand it any better than you do now."

"Fine. You're the teacher," he stood back up to his feet. "So, I'll come by tonight and we can start."

"Why not after school?" YonMi suggested. "I can do most of my homework during study hall, and we can start right away."

"Well, I really need the break in between, YonMi. You do, too," he laughed at the idea YonMi appeared to be booked endlessly. "So, I'll come by tonight, around seven, okay?"

"I'm not sure I can...," YonMi didn't want to make herself look foolish announcing to everyone that she had a date that evening online with a guy she didn't really know. "The thing is...," she thought about Tony waiting up for her, but she quickly realized that it may not be so. Surely he had other buddies he looked forward to chatting with.

"What?" WooHyuk waited, looking down at her.

"Nevermind," she whispered sadly to herself, "seven is fine."

"Awww thanks, YonMi!" He leaned down again and gave her a playful hug, purposely rubbing his dampened apparel against hers as he helped her to her feet, the coach already calling the girls in.

"Ugh!"

"See you, tonight, then," he took the reading list from her hands and walked into the gym while LeeJin walked a distraught YonMi onto the court.

Already Been Done Part 4

He walked into his house, hurriedly moving about; in and out of the wash room and his bedroom, fixing his shirt and putting his cap into his backpack.

But as he passed his brother's room several times, he noted his unchanged position. Though he was already running late for work, he felt he might have been responsible for his brother's unusually quiet behavior.

"Hey, Tony," the tall boy walked into the room and stood looking down at his older brother, who lye facing up with his head in a book.

"Hey," Tony closed the book and threw it off to the side.

The tall boy grabbed the chair in front of Tony's desk and sat facing him. "What's wrong?"

"What makes you think anything's wrong?" Tony sat up and jumped off of the bed, avoiding his younger brother's pitiful expressions.

"Well, normally, at this time, you'd be online or on the phone," he laughed. "So why aren't you?"

"Well, unlike some people, I felt like doing something a little different for a change." Tony argued, and his brother scoffed knowingly, standing up from off of the chair.

"Look, if this is about the game, the other night, I said I was sorry! You know I had to work. I would've gone. I really wanted to be there!"

"It's not about the game," Tony turned away. "Although it wouldn't kill you to take a night off for one of em, it's not like I have many left!"

"You're right...I will," he hoped his brother's concern had been that simple. "But those pizzas aren't gonna deliver themselves, you know." he joked.

"JaeWon!" Tony tried to get him to focus again. "Why wont you let Mom put together that party for you, you know how much she wants to."

JaeWon threw his hands up bothered by how everyone in his household always counted on him for something he had no interest in.

"Look, I'm gonna be off at college next year," Tony stood close to JaeWon, resting his arm on the taller boy's shoulder. "And you have one more year left, you never go out, you never have friends over, Mom's really worried about you."

"I don't see why!" JaeWon argued, shaking his brother's arm off.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing."

But Tony knew what it was, and he refused to have that discussion ever again. JaeWon and Tony were not biologically related. JaeWon lost his mother young. Tony's parents divorced when he was also young, and before the boys started high school, their parents re-married. JaeWon and his father moved in with Tony and his mother. JaeWon, had yet to accept that another woman would fill his mother's shoes.

"Look, it's like you said," JaeWon sat next to Tony on his bed, "You're the one going off to college next year, they should be focused on you. I mean I'm not the one with basketball scholarships in the mailbox, I might be here until I'm 40, they'll have plenty of time to do stuff for me," JaeWon joked again.

"That's what they're worried about, JaeWon," Tony pled. "They don't want you here until you're 40. You have so much to offer, why don't you let them-let us help you. I don't want to leave here next year, thinking you wont be okay without me."

JaeWon always felt Tony did everything he could to look after him, even when there were herds of cameras or classmates blocking his view. He knew it would put Tony at ease to know he would survive without him. "Fine...you and Mom do whatever you want about this weekend. I'll be here," he agreed.

"Really?" Tony slowly drew closer and JaeWon moved slowly away, anticipating what was soon to follow.

"Yeaaahh!"

Tony pounced on his younger brother, locking his head in his arm and rubbing the top of his head roughly with his knuckles.

"TONY!" JaeWon tried to fight back. "I'm gonna be late for work!"

"Boys! Behave yourselves!" A woman's voice was heard down below and the boys pushed eachother away.

"Dang, I have a lot to do!" Tony jumped off of the bed and went to start up his computer. "I have a guest list to write, calls to make, I can't wait to tell Mom the good news! I'll make sure she doesn't pick out any corny decorations or anything like that, okay?"

"Yeah, thanks," JaeWon blindly ran his fingers through his hair to tidy his appearance again. "Hey, I almost forgot to ask, what happened with the scouts the other night? Any luck?"

"Yeah, I talked to them after the game," Tony smiled confidently. "They looked interested. I had a really good game thanks to my expert advisor."

"I see," JaeWon knew who he referred to as he'd spend many times, looking on behind Tony when he'd chat with his buddies. "Tell YonMi I said hi," he laughed. "See you later!"

Just as JaeWon left, Tony had an idea for his brother's party. It seemed like a great opportunity to meet his 'advisor', his perfect date. She had learned so much about Tony's family and his family, too knew how he felt about her. It was time.

He waited for YonMi to sign on.

Already Been Done Part 5

"Looks like dinner's going to be a little late, girls" their mother called out. "I have to go buy some groceries."

"It's okay, Ma, I ordered out."

"YonMi? More take out?"

"Yeah Ma," HyoLee teased her sister out loud. "Haven't you heard? YonMi has company coming, tonight."

YonMi shook her head, and looked away. While she already felt bad about having to spend so much time with WooHyuk, her sister's attitude made her feel worse, accentuating the discomfort she felt from the time he had asked her of all people for help.

"Oh? Did you invite LeeJin over for dinner?" YonMi rarely hosted another guest on the weekends much less on a school night. Her mother assumed LeeJin was her dinner guest and showed no objection.

A part of YonMi actually wanted her mother to forbid her from seeing WooHyuk, and sure enough HyoLee expressed the same thought whole heartedly.

"YonMi? You didn't tell Mom about WooHyuk coming over to see you, tonight?"

"WooHyuk?" she frowned with uncertainty and HyoLee nodded to let her know she had heard right. "I see. Well...that's just...," she drew closer to YonMi, observing her as she sat on the couch. "YonMi, right?" She pulled at YonMi's glasses and her genuine laugh as she pushed them back onto her face allowed her mother to tell her girls apart.

"Ma?" HyoLee's ongoing cry for justice further confirmed who was who.

"Right." Their mother put laughing matters aside. "I'm sorry YonMi, but you know the rules about boys in the house, don't you?"

"No boys allowed inside after 8:30."

"That's right."

Her mother approvingly patted her back. It was actually pretty difficult to remember a rule when it never really applied to her. WooHyuk was the first guy she'd ever be credited for having over...and he'd been over before.

But HyoLee wasn't as flexible. "What? You're just gonna let her spend the whole night tutoring WooHyuk? My WooHyuk, Mom?"

"Oooh right," her mother realized an exception was called for. "I'm sorry, I didn't figure that. Tutoring you say? Mmm 8:45, but no later," she laughed.

"What?!" But the girls weren't as amused. YonMi didn't like the fact that WooHyuk was already cutting into her time online. HyoLee wasn't crazy about the idea of her sister and her boyfriend sharing little space for so such long while, especially when YonMi was known to have an interest all her own in the Senior boy.

"Come on, ladies, education is very important," their mother stood supportive of her decision. "We do want WooHyuk to get his money's worth, don't we?"

"You're charging him?" HyoLee hadn't been aware her sister imposed a fine on him for her help.

"I am now," neither had YonMi, who scorned bitterly, as their mother looked on, amiably.

A knock suddenly came at the front door. "That's probably him. Let me get my purse and HyoLee, you can go to market with me."

"What? Why me?" HyoLee called out after her mother who now stood at the other end of the hall.

"I don't want you disturbing, the kids. The sooner they get done, the sooner they part company." She figured HyoLee would be better off but neither HyoLee or YonMi thought it made a difference.

Another knock came and YonMi stood to answer but HyoLee jumped in front of her. "I'll get it."

YonMi went to sit back down and HyoLee fixed her hair and adjusted her outfit, before finally opening the door, to find WooHyuk wasn't even there.

"Ugh!"

Instead a quiet, taller, but younger looking guy stood greeting HyoLee who didn't bother to mingle with the working kid.

"Pizza again? Don't you ever get tired of this crap?" YonMi stood to take the money out of her pant pocket just as HyoLee took the pizza and thoughtlessly slammed the door in the innocent boy's face.

"HyoLee???" YonMi wasn't as surprised as she was ashamed. She rushed to the door but was reluctant to open it again and face the boy who sure enough, stood there looking rather lost.

"I'm so sorry," she walked out and closed the door behind her. "How much?"

"Uhhh, 14?" He didn't want to ask, but the question was written all over his face as he tried to figure out, looking into the girl's face, how it was that she transformed herself appearance and all so quickly.

A car, then pulled up behind his delivery ride, and the two looked back at the older looking guy climbing out with a book in hand and walking up.

She handed the delivery boy a single dollar bill. "Keep the change," she smiled apologetically and the boy moved slowly away, still in awe.

"Thanks."

He passed WooHyuk as he walked down the front lawn, and WooHyuk looked into the kid's face. He appeared to be stunned, wanting to face YonMi again but forcing himself to look ahead.

"That must've been some tip you gave him, YonMi," WooHyuk laughed. "I don't think he was breathing."

The car rode off and YonMi invited WooHyuk inside. HyoLee stood in the living room with her hands on her hips, stubbornly objecting to her mother's direction thus far. She had to accept that WooHyuk would be there with YonMi, and then that they would be there alone.

"Okay, let's go," she walked toward the door and HyoLee followed. "We'll be right back!"

"Don't get too comfortable," HyoLee warned WooHyuk who waved at her tauntingly as she walked out and slammed the door behind her.

"Okay, let's get started."

WooHyuk pulled his sweatshirt over his head, airing out his tee shirt underneath, and sat alongside YonMi.

"What about the pizza?" he pointed over to it on the coffee table.

"You're late, so you haven't earned any yet." YonMi hadn't planned on sharing anything more than her knowledge with him, but WooHyuk never took her indifferent behavior seriously.

"Awww! You're tough but fair," he pinched her cheek playfully, and she finally cracked a smile.

Already Been Done Part 6

That evening, YonMi organized her things for the following school day. She picked out two random items of clothing and laid them out. Then, she started working on whatever homework she had left.

She later went to start up her computer. Though she hoped there might be a chance she could catch him, she knew they wouldn't have much time, and chose to check her email instead.

She clicked on her inbox and almost as soon as she did, she singled out one specific sender. His sent mail was dated for that day and included an attachment of some kind. She quickly highlighted and clicked on the message, it's subject simply read YonMi from nbk07

YonMi,

Where are you? =T I hope everything is okay, but I can't wait up anymore. There's something I want to ask you. I hope you'll be online tomorrow, so we can talk about it. If not, please reply, and tell me when I can find you on. It's sort of important, but I wont go into detail right now.

I attached my pic, so that you can finally see what I look like! I hope you're willing to share yours with me before this weekend. I wont say why, but you'll see hehe

Take care,

Tony Ahn.

"...."

YonMi thought about whether or not she should even download the image that was attached to the email. She felt somewhat scared and self-conscious. She'd often deal with people who expressed interest in seeing her picture, but Tony was different. He had been an honest friend to her for months, and never asked to see it. It was as if he didn't care, and that meant much to someone who didn't feel too confident about her appearance.

Ofcourse, she shared her physical traits with someone who flaunted them proudly and managed to strike the fancy of just about anyone who had at least one good eye, but she never saw the same girl in her reflection. To say nothing of how he might have envisioned her, and how her actual image would most likely prove disappointing.

And so, YonMi knew she wasn't willing to share her picture with him and she didn't feel she should see his. She'd long had a painting in her mind, a portrait of what this young man looked like by the way he carried himself and all that he claimed to be-an athlete, an older brother, a Senior in high school. She knew that, too, would change.

She chose to leave the file in her inbox, unopened. Exhausted, she left the system on, and walked over to her bed. She sat for a while, giving thought to the idea of taking the chance, sharing her image, but she couldn't understand why...

Why did he want to see her picture?

How important was it to him?

And what would happen when she refused?

She lye trying to convince herself that she had the whole week left to ponder the matter, but it wasn't all that comforting as she closed her eyes and attempted to put it completely out of her mind.

-

"So, did you tell him you didn't feel comfortable about sending your pic?"

The next day, YonMi and LeeJin passed notes to one another during homeroom and YonMi mentioned the email she had gotten from TonyAhn. They finally had a chance to discuss it out on the field during fifth period, while the boys played flag football.

"He wasn't on," YonMi neglected to suggest that she didn't have to wait until they were online together again to tell him so.

"So?" LeeJin didn't. "Why didn't you just send him a reply? Not like you're gonna have the guts to actually tell him when he signs on."

"I wish I didn't have to tell him anything. I wish this whole thing wouldn't have happened. I mean, why ruin it all?" YonMi wondered why TonyAhn was suddenly interested in seeing what she looked like when he had already established he liked who she was. She also remembered, he wanted to ask her something else before the weekend would come and the weight of the pressure was frustrating.

"Well, then, just send him your pic and get it over with. Worst that could happen is that he stop talking to you."

YonMi didn't want to believe that TonyAhn was anything like that.

"And you already said, if you decide not to let him see what you look like, he might do that anyway, right?"

YonMi didn't want to lose TonyAhn as the only guy friend she truly had. And with LeeJin's advice doing very little to help inspire YonMi, he actually appeared to be her only friend.

"Why don't you just download his pic, first. He might not be that great a looking guy! You may actually be out of his league."

"That's not the point, LeeJin!" YonMi shook her head, refusing to allow his actual image to destroy the impression she already had. "And he has to be a good looking guy! I mean he's a basketball star in Royal Grove County, that place is swarming with preppy people!"

LeeJin laughed watching YonMi get sidetracked while admitting that she did in fact fear she just wouldn't meet the 'preppie's' expectations.

A whistle sounded, and the boys were told to head to the sidelines, where the girls sat on the bleachers watching and waiting for their turn to invade the field.

"Besides, looks never mattered when we talked the way we did. They shouldn't matter now." YonMi couldn't fool herself.

"Well, there you go, then. If he's really as nice as you say he is, maybe they wont matter to him, either." LeeJin couldn't fool YonMi either. "And even if they do, it's not like you wouldn't make the cut." She tried to convince her of something that YonMi found even less believable. "You don't look too terrible, YonMi."

LeeJin saw WooHyuk walking in the direction of where she and YonMi sat.

"Fine, let's get a second opinion, then. Hey, WooHyuk?" LeeJin motioned for him to hurry on over.

"What are you doing?" YonMi objected knowing well what LeeJin was up to.

"Just calm down," LeeJin smiled teasingly.

"Hey, LeeJin. Hi, YonMi," he grinned and YonMi acknowledged him with a slight smirk in return.

"We were wondering if you could help us with something." WooHyuk followed along, but he noticed YonMi fidgeting in the other direction. "Would you consider dating someone like YonMi?"

"Geez," YonMi scoffed, jumping off of the bleachers.

"What? He's a guy. Who better to ask?" LeeJin laughed. "So, would you?" she asked WooHyuk again.

"Dating is a bit much, don't you think? I mean, we're only friends." YonMi finally erupted, delaying WooHyuk's answer again.

"Fine, then. WooHyuk, do you consider YonMi, attractive?"

"This is stupid!"

WooHyuk opened his mouth to respond but YonMi again interrupted, nervous and upset.

"You know, contrary to popular belief, a guy's opinion varies from that of another guy's opinion. Just because WooHyuk says one thing, doesn't prove he'll say the same thing!" YonMi rambled on without realizing what she had just claimed.

"You really think so?" LeeJin jumped off of the bleachers, leaving WooHyuk to wonder if his opinion was still necessary. "So then, why would you already assume how he's gonna react when you haven't given him a chance to form his own opinion?"

"Whoa, wait. Is there someone else you want to go out with, YonMi?" WooHyuk concluded they couldn't have been talking about him right in front of him.

"Not exactly. See-"

"It was just a hypothetical," YonMi cut LeeJin off before she could tell WooHyuk about TonyAhn.

"I see," he turned to LeeJin. "Well, yeah. I'd ask YonMi out on a date if I thought she'd say 'yes'."

YonMi rolled her eyes away, denying he would ever have a genuine interest in only her.

"But you see how long it took me to get her to tutor me. I'll have to work from that," he added, expressing his interest, with a charming line and an alluring smile.

He walked over to YonMi, quietly invading her space and she felt momentarily swept up, but reluctant to show it, she did her best to keep a fair amount of distance.

"So, about tonight," he spoke softly. "Same time?"

YonMi nodded, stiffly standing in front of him, before another whistle sounded and he left the field with the rest of the guys.

"Well, there it is," LeeJin haughtily announced with an 'I told you so' spring in her step as she walked over to where WooHyuk once stood, confirming what LeeJin had mentioned before. "WooHyuk likes you, and he's one of the most popular guys in school."

"Now you know he doesn't count, LeeJin." YonMi wanted to remind her friend that WooHyuk couldn't claim he didn't find YonMi attractive. He was known to date someone who looked like her.

"Doesn't count?" LeeJin saw YonMi shake her head carelessly as she walked on ahead to the field. "And why, I'm afraid to ask, is that?"

"Because he's already dated 'someone like me', remember? He virtually went out with me when he went out with my sister."

"Oooh gawd," LeeJin grew tired of YonMi's claim that her sister was to take credit for any kind of attention YonMi got from anyone. "You know, if you really believe that, why not just send Tony a picture of HyoLee? That way, he'll virtually be seeing you, while he's looking at her!"

"What?" YonMi wondered if LeeJin was serious, watching her march ahead and onto the field.

Already Been Done Part 7

She pulled away from the screen and turned around. YonMi had been sitting on the edge of the bed, waiting for her to state a brief description of the image in the attached file sent by TonyAhn.

"Please tell me...tell me he isn't gorgeous," she closed her eyes. YonMi had agreed to let LeeJin come by after school to peek at the 'preppy'. She couldn't bear to see for herself.

"...He isn't gorgeous," LeeJin nodded, with a pitiful frown, to let YonMi know she was only telling her what she wanted to hear, but that she was lying.

YonMi stood and walked around LeeJin who was right in front of the monitor. She noted the bottom half of the image for herself, walking closer to it and slowly lifting her head to view the entire picture.

"Ooo geez," she sighed in desperation. "What am I gonna do???"

YonMi's initial reaction was a faintly smile. Though he wasn't what she imagined talking to him, he was so much more, with a face that just made her forget for a brief moment that she could not match nor top the impression he had given.

LeeJin smiled as well. "I don't know," she laughed. Even she couldn't argue now, that YonMi had no reason to feel self-conscious and almost unworthy.

TonyAhn's image was candid, but beautifully flawed, and YonMi couldn't find anything on his face that she didn't think appealing. His do was a bit scruffy, but it worked for him. The infamous pointy-out ears he always talked about, stuck out from underneath his hair.

His face was round shapen, with his cheeks slightly swollen from beneath his eyes all the way down to the sides of his chin. He had a double lid over one eye, making it look just a little bit wider than the other. His lips and his nose both small and simple components, sweetly in accordance, tiny inklings in an ideal culmination with a fair complexion.

"Perfection," YonMi plopped down on her bed, and fell back. "I'm soooo dead," she groaned wearily.

"Maybe not."

LeeJin sat next to where YonMi lye with her eyes closed, wanting to sleep through this time in her life-a time when her failure to be like her sister would ruin her all through high school and maybe even college until her skills earned her loads of cash, that she could use to pay people to tell her she was much too good-looking for this TonyAhn.

"What if you just tell him you don't have a scanner? Or that it's broken?" She suggested; and for the first time, YonMi would've loved to have heard something less practical and something more comforting from the only other person who ever told her she 'didn't look too terrible.'

"Yeah, maybe," she whispered.

LeeJin went to close out the image just as HyoLee stomped into her sister's bedroom, and YonMi quickly sat up to protest her inconsiderate interruption.

"Haven't you ever heard of knocking?"

"Oookay, I can see there's much going on in here. I apologize." HyoLee laughed mocking the fact that YonMi had nothing too serious or private going on in her own little corner of the house. "But for your information, Mom sent me in here to let you know that WooHyuk was here," she snarled unsupportive once again of the circumstances.

"Ugh! The day that wouldn't end," YonMi turned away, frustrated.

"Well, then, I guess I should go," but LeeJin excitedly gathered her books and her bag. "I'll just leave you to WooHyuk," her smile morphed into a sneer as she turned to look at HyoLee on her way. "See you, tomorrow!"

"Yeah," YonMi struggled to pick herself up and HyoLee didn't show much sympathy, eyeing her with an envious threat and walking back out. "Ugh!" YonMi fell back onto the bed.

-

Later that night, JaeWon arrived at his house from work, to find his brother, nodding off in front of his computer.

"Tony!"

He immediately sat up and JaeWon laughed at him, watching him stretch his arms over his head and yawning.

"What are you still doing up?" He walked in to get a better look at the screen. His away message was up but he noticed MiShy05 was not signed on. "Waiting for someone?"

"Yeah, I didn't see her yesterday. Just thought I'd wait a little longer tonight," he explained. His eyes half closed, he didn't appear to even have the energy to sign off if he wanted to.

"Maybe she's too busy with homework. Why don't you just email her?"

"I did." Tony began to wonder if his email might have scared her away. He had learned much about YonMi and how she felt about herself; why she preferred befriending people from behind her monitor. Which is why one absence was not out of the ordinary but two, back to back, was rare for YonMi. She was always the one waiting for him. "She never replied."

"Oh," JaeWon took his hat off and sat on Tony's bed. "Well, she will," he assured him.

"Yeah, I hope so," Tony yawned again. "I really want to ask her to the party on Saturday."

"You do?" JaeWon had also shown signs of exhaustion after a full day of school and work, but he sat awoken again, laughing at his brother's unbelievable idea. "Do you think she'll come?"

"I don't know," Tony shrugged. He knew it would take work to persuade her just to show him her picture, let alone, to convince her to come out of her shy quiet shell. "So, what did they tell you about Saturday, anyway?" He turned in his seat to face JaeWon.

"They said it was okay. I'll be off the whole weekend, actually."

"Good," he nodded approvingly.

The sound effect of a squeaky door was suddenly heard over Tony's speaker, and he turned back over to the screen. He rubbed his eyes in disbelief, hoping he wasn't just seeing what he wanted to.

"Hey, she's on," JaeWon walked up next to him, and Tony quickly took the opportunity, double clicking on her screen name and typing fast before she would get away.

TonyAhn: YonMi?
MiShy05: Hi
TonyAhn: Hi
TonyAhn: did you get my email?

YonMi's replies appeared to be slow, as if she wasn't sure she should have signed on or as if she didn't expect to find him online at this particular hour.

TonyAhn: YonMi?
MiShy05: yes
MiShy05: I got it
MiShy05: thank you for the file

"Well, I'll leave you two alone," JaeWon joked. "I'm going to bed. Goodnight, Tony."

"Goodnight," Tony called out, and JaeWon closed the door carefully behind him on his way out.

Tony kept his focus on the conversation he was having with YonMi which wasn't moving as fast as it usually did. He wondered what she was feeling and whether or not she would've felt willing at this point in time to make the adjustment from an online friendship to an offline relationship.

YonMi remained quiet on her end.

-

TonyAhn: wut did you think?
MiShy05: very nice
TonyAhn: really?
TonyAhn: hehe
MiShy05: yes ^^
TonyAhn: thanks

"No, actually it was beautiful and perfect," YonMi thought out loud. She figured those terms along with 'hot' and 'fine' were probably not as new to him.

TonyAhn: so
MiShy05: so =T
TonyAhn: do you have a pic?

"...," YonMi tried to think of a believable excuse, but this seemed to be one of those situations where nothing sounded or looked like a good enough reason.

MiShy05: no
TonyAhn: no?
MiShy05: I mean I don't have one
MiShy05: a scanner
MiShy05: I mean it's broken
MiShy05: I don't have a pic
TonyAhn: I see

YonMi panicked, rereading her responses, they were a mess. "I can't do anything right!" Little white lies that were common would've done if they weren't ALL used at one time.

MiShy05: sorry hehe
TonyAhn: it's okay
MiShy05: I'll send you one soon
TonyAhn: a scanner?
TonyAhn: a pic?
MiShy05: =T

Surely, he was on to her, and his disappointment wasn't so much about not being able to see her picture as it was about YonMi making up stories to avoid telling him what he already knew.

TonyAhn: sorry
TonyAhn: you don't have to

That was too easy and she knew he didn't mean it. If he'd only gotten upset and signed off she would've felt her efforts justified, but he didn't. Instead, he sat there, probably waiting for her to realize she could trust him.

MiShy05: brb
TonyAhn: okay

YonMi hurriedly rummaged through her dresser, trying to find at least one decent looking 5x7 photograph she could upload onto her hard drive.

"Ugh!" She found many, though neither recent nor decent. "I swear they use their airbrushing skills for evil," she continued to scold the specialists, as she stood back up with the samples in her hands. "I couldn't possibly look this-"

She brought the pictures down and caught her reflection in the mirror, "that bad."

She wondered if she could've prevented such awful duplications of her image. She took her glasses off and toiled with the skin on her face. "How in the world does HyoLee make do with any of this?"

"HyoLee." YonMi stopped everything she was doing, and thought fast about what LeeJin had suggested earlier. "Maybe."

She quietly walked out of her bedroom and into the living room where many framed photos of she and her sister were on display.

She grimaced passing by her picture on the wall, never able to understand why two pictures of HyoLee couldn't do just as good.

Finally spotting the most recent studio picture taken of HyoLee last spring, YonMi grabbed a chair to better reach the frame and took it down. "This one's nice."

Though she smiled having finally found a way out of this dilemma, she couldn't help but feel bad, not so much for her sister who never thought twice about showing the world how great she looked. She and her sister side by side on the living room wall, just further distinguished how different the two really were, how much more HyoLee was and how much less YonMi was in comparison.

YonMi walked back into her bedroom and placed HyoLee's picture on the bed. She sat down in front of the computer to announce right away...

MiShy05: I found a pic
TonyAhn: a pic?
TonyAhn: can I see it?
TonyAhn: =)
MiShy05: I have to scan it
TonyAhn: I can wait
TonyAhn: go ahead
MiShy05: haha

He had definitely been on to her the whole time.

MiShy05: it's getting late
MiShy05: I'll email it, okay?
TonyAhn: =T
TonyAhn: promise?
MiShy05: okay hehe
TonyAhn: okay
TonyAhn: there's something else I wanted to ask

YonMi had forgotten reading about that in his email.

MiShy05: what?
TonyAhn: I'll ask you tomorrow
TonyAhn: will you be on?
TonyAhn: it's really important

YonMi thought about how she would make it work, with WooHyuk and her home assignments.

MiShy05: okay
MiShy05: same time
TonyAhn: okay
MiShy05: what's it about?
TonyAhn: tomorrow =P
MiShy05: ?
TonyAhn: haha
TonyAhn: don't forget about the pic
MiShy05: okay
MiShy05: I wont
TonyAhn: gnite
MiShy05: good night
TonyAhn: *muah*
MiShy05: <3<3<3

YonMi signed off, trying to guess what his question might've pertained to. She decided to hold off on those thoughts, taking HyoLee's picture out of its frame.

After scanning, resizing, and saving her sister's image as if it were her own, she attached it to an email, with a brief description of when and where it was taken. Then, she watched the percentage move along as it was being sent.

She took the frame, neatly pieced back together and placed it on the living room wall from where she had taken it. She adjusted the picture, making sure it was straight.

Looking on at her sister's picture, she knew there was no way he wouldn't like it and Tony's question again made her wonder with a few of her own.

Why didn't he want to ask her before she would send him her pic?

If she hadn't sent it, would he have still asked her?

YonMi didn't know why, but she suddenly had a bad feeling about the whole thing. What if he wanted to ask her out or her sister, or whomever? But the girl in the image wasn't YonMi.

"Ooo no!"

YonMi began to have second thoughts and ran back into her room, hoping to have made it in time to cancel the-

"FILE TRANSFERRED."

Already Been Done Part 8

"You did what?!"

LeeJin snapped at YonMi who was half asleep in homeroom while telling her the whole sorted story.

"What? It was your idea!"

"I was joking!"

YonMi didn't think she was serious at the time she brought it up either. But that night, she used anything that came to mind, including all the excuses LeeJin suggested would help her avoid having to send a picture at all-excuses she flopped that led to the only other alternative LeeJin had mentioned during fifth period yesterday.

"Does HyoLee know you sent him her picture?"

"Of course not," YonMi knew it wouldn't make a difference if she did. She'd love to know how much her sister really wanted to be her. "And she's not gonna know! It's done with! It's over! He has a pic, he thinks it's me, everything's fine."

YonMi knew it wasn't over. Something about TonyAhn's mysterious question last night told her that she might've gotten herself into another bind, an unavoidable one if she truly had her heart set on never showing him her real picture, or on never telling him that she lied...again.

"Well, yeah, I guess it's okay," but LeeJin had no idea. "And it's not like the image was totally phony, you and HyoLee do look the same."

"Right! You're right," YonMi tried to shake the uncomfortable intuition.

"As long as he doesn't ask to meet with you or anything like that, you have nothing to worry about," she laughed at the unlikely conditions, unaware that YonMi feared exactly that.

YonMi knew the idea wasn't so implausible, if he was in fact basing his question or his proposal on possibly the outcome of her attachment. He had to have something more in mind with this girl in the image...and it wasn't her. "I'm a fraud."

LeeJin heard YonMi's head make hard contact with the top of her desk, over and over again.

-

"WooHyukie."

He turned in his chair and turned almost immediately back around when he saw her make tracks in his direction. His friends, noticing his sudden loss of appetite at the lunch table and acknowledging his ex-girlfriend's commanding presence, quickly excused themselves from the scene.

"You aren't busy are you?" she smiled.

"Not anymore," he muttered under his breath and pushed his lunch tray further away, looking in the other direction from where she seated herself next to him.

"Good, because I've been meaning to talk to you."

It was only a matter of time and WooHyuk knew it. Every time he approached YonMi, she always assumed he wanted something to do with her sister, perhaps because HyoLee had shown interest in reconciliation and who'd be stupid enough to turn one of the best looking girls away?

"What about?" But WooHyuk wanted to get right to the point, so to get right past it, and show HyoLee and YonMi both once and for all that it was over.

"About the prom."

"Prom?" WooHyuk hoped she wasn't under the impression he would willingly take her. "What about the prom? You want me to set you up with one of the guys?"

HyoLee laughed as she felt the hostility on WooHyuk's part become more of a bitter reminder.

"You had no problem scoring yourself a prom date last year. What do you want from me?"

Incidentally, WooHyuk referred to the reason why the two had broken up or rather how it came to be that WooHyuk, a respectable upper classman was dropped by an over-confident sophomore in herself.

The two dated for over six months the year before. But WooHyuk was a Junior at the time, so when the Senior prom rolled around, HyoLee had accepted the invite to attend with another respectable upper classman, a Senior.

"I know you're not still holding that against me," her smile showed little if any remorse.

Truth be told, WooHyuk wasn't as broken up about it anymore. But it was always irritating to see her try to justify something so cruel.

"It was the biggest night of the year, it meant a lot just to be there!"

The bell sounded and WooHyuk wasted no time trying to run out on her.

"He was just my ticket to the prom last year, you were a Junior, you couldn't go! So that night meant nothing more!" She insisted. "It was just a date."

"So was homecoming," WooHyuk reminded her.

Due to HyoLee's persistence after the summer, WooHyuk agreed to take her to the homecoming dance, but never did he agree to take her back, and he constantly showed indifference to her attempts at making him jealous with other guys throughout the year.

"Look, HyoLee, I don't know what I'm gonna do about the prom, yet."

HyoLee stood with her arms crossed, refusing to allow anything he had to say to her, affect her commitment to spending prom night with him.

"So, if you have any other offers, I suggest you take them. I'm not even thinking about it right now, my mind is on..."

His eyes had wandered in the direction of the front double doors of the cafeteria where students were crowding in, among them YonMi and LeeJin.

"...other things."

HyoLee also noticed he had become distracted and turned to confirm about who she thought might have conveniently shown up to help make WooHyuk's behavior more believable.

"Right," she wasn't buying it and WooHyuk shrugged carelessly. "Don't think I don't know what you're trying to do, WooHyuk! YonMi might be naive enough to believe you really like her, but I know better! You can stop playing these games now!"

"You couldn't be more wrong," WooHyuk scoffed.

He had already established well that YonMi didn't believe she could compete with HyoLee, that she didn't believe someone interested in her sister, would take that same interest in her without HyoLee still in mind. But he wasn't about to give HyoLee that credit, not until he could prove to YonMi, that it wasn't the case where his intentions bore respect.

"I know this might come as a big shock to you. You're probably not used to the idea but...it isn't always about you, HyoLee."

HyoLee smiled and tried to get closer but he turned away until she retrieved back. He was right, she didn't accept his claim and she didn't believe her charms could ever lose to YonMi's wit. Her past with WooHyuk had also proven this.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not taking you to the prom."

He walked out of the cafeteria through the exiting doors, and HyoLee stood there, convinced he was still sore about their break up last year and certain she could get him back.

"That's what you think."

Already Been Done Part 9

"Beware the Ides of March!"

"A soothsayer bids you beware the Ides of March!"

"He is a dreamer, let us leave him: pass."

That afternoon, WooHyuk and YonMi continued to work together, under the tight supervision of YonMi's sister, and WooHyuk's former girlfriend.

"What's that supposed to be, YonMi?" WooHyuk, well aware that the two were being watched, as HyoLee found one reason or another to go into the living room every time she heard quiet, tried to show only interest in his studies. "What's the Ides of March?"

"Don't get ahead of the story," YonMi advised. "Ides of March is like a warning, well...more like a foreshadowing of what happens to Caesar on March 15."

"He dies?"

YonMi gave WooHyuk a last look of warning and WooHyuk shrugged jokingly, trying to find an opening in which to start a casual conversation with YonMi pertaining to something other than literary discussions.

"Quitting time!"

HyoLee called it not a second past 8:45. WooHyuk looked at his watch and YonMi nodded, expeditiously dismissing her student.

He saw the pleased expression on HyoLee's face as he walked past her, a look of determination that let WooHyuk know, that just pursuing YonMi wasn't going to be easy, much less acquiring enough time alone with her to show her how he felt, or as HyoLee liked to believe 'fool her into thinking he felt anything for her.'

"I'll see you tomorrow, YonMi," WooHyuk smiled walking toward the front door.

"HyoLee." He simply acknowledge on his way out. She smiled back at him while closing the door behind him.

"So, how's he doing?" HyoLee watched her sister clean up around the coffee table.

YonMi shrugged, thoughtfully as she sat on the couch, organizing her mess of papers. "I don't think he's interested in the story. I'm afraid I might fail him next week."

"Mmm, I saw it, too," HyoLee agreed WooHyuk wasn't keeping his focus. "It can't be easy for him with me here."

YonMi looked up at her sister, her face, though bearing the same structure as her own, held a more self assured expression as opposed to YonMi's concerned frown. Maybe WooHyuk really didn't need help and simply wanted to be close to HyoLee while studying with YonMi when HyoLee was close by. Maybe he did need help, but had a hard time concentrating with HyoLee there.

Though she didn't know where the two stood in terms of their relationship, both possibilities led YonMi to conclude that WooHyuk was not over HyoLee and would not be able to get anything done unless the two found a way to coexist.

"Have you talked to him?"

"Well, yeah, but I think he's trying to put it behind him, probably hoping to forget by keeping busy with school," she motioned to all the work he'd been doing with YonMi. "I hope he comes around soon, I'm holding out on a lot of other offers for prom."

YonMi remembered WooHyuk didn't ask her about HyoLee and the prom but again she wondered if WooHyuk was aware HyoLee was willing to go with him. Maybe if he was, he wouldn't be wasting his time with YonMi.

"So, if he mentions anything about it, will you let me know?"

YonMi nodded and HyoLee walked off leaving her to contemplate again on how effective HyoLee's influence had apparently been if WooHyuk claimed he needed YonMi's help simply to be close to HyoLee or to forget about his problems with HyoLee while attempting to befriend someone who looked exactly like her.

She gathered her materials and moved in the direction of her room. On her way, the distraction was unavoidable. HyoLee in the framed studio picture sent to TonyAhn the night before reminded YonMi of how exactly it had to be HyoLee won over WooHyuk, the same guy YonMi longed to be with at one time.

HyoLee carried herself with a much more graceful posture, a smile that spoke of high class and a pose that beamed confidence, rightfully so. She was beautiful, her hair hung loosely over her shoulder, and her eyes sparkled like stars in the sky, the stars YonMi wished upon every night for as long as she believed in wishing. But as she looked at her own picture next to HyoLee's, the results were obvious.

-

Tony gazed in awe at the attachment sent by YonMi the previous night. He couldn't get over how truly beautiful she was, so wholesome and sweet online and so breathtakingly appealing in her image. It was a rare catch, but he knew now he really wanted to ask her to his brother's birthday party.

JaeWon arrived at about the same hour. As always, he walked in on his brother who was uncharacteristically wide awake and seemingly drooling on the inside at a graphic on his monitor.

"What's going on?" he laughed walking up behind Tony and glancing toward the screen. "Who's that?"

"It's YonMi!" Tony chanted excitedly in his chair.

"Really? Hmm, she looks familiar, too." JaeWon tried to think of where he might have seen such a face. "Does she go to RG?"

"JaeWonie, if she did, I wouldn't be wasting my time in this stupid chat room! Look at her! She sure is something. She lives out in Pleasant Ridge."

JaeWon nodded, having not recalled seeing her around campus before.

"So, before tonight is over, I'll have a date, food, music, and rsvps from all the upper classmen at RG."

"In other words, no one I know," JaeWon joked about his poor social status at school.

"Come on, Jae, this will give you a chance to get to know them...AND YonMi," Tony smiled motioning to perhaps the one guest JaeWon would get along with, YonMi having learned much about Tony and his family.

"I see. She's cute."

"Cute?" Tony pulled his brother by the shirt collar and forced him to take a closer look. "Look again, JaeWon."

"Haha, alright she's hot." JaeWon admitted, and Tony gloated agreeingly. "But I don't get it. I mean didn't she say she didn't feel good about how she looked? Why would she feel so ugly?"

"I don't know," Tony looked away pondering the same idea. "Maybe she's just one of those girls who has a lot of complexes, only looks in the mirror to find flaws in her appearance."

"Well, I don't see any," JaeWon stretched his arms. "But I could've sworn I've seen her before." He moved in closer again.

Tony waited for his brother to make the connection, but when he didn't, Tony concluded, "Guess she just has one of those kind faces," he smiled.

"Maybe," JaeWon yawned. He wasn't really trying hard to remember, he'd gotten home tired and ready to call it a night. "I'm going to sleep. Tell her I look forward to meeting her." JaeWon smiled, encouraging his brother on, and walking out just as Tony signed on to wait for MiShy05.

-

After finishing up her homework, YonMi habitually prepared for tomorrow. Her books gathered in one place and her random wardrobe in another. She worked slowly at this, more and more reluctant to sign on each day...each day eventually leading up to last night.

She started up her computer, and checked her email for a prompt reply that didn't come. Perhaps he wasn't as impressed as she thought he'd be. Or maybe he hadn't seen it shortly after she sent it.

She signed on to meet him as promised. He barely gave her time to close out those many pestering pop up messages, before popping up with a message of his own.

TonyAhn: Hi!
TonyAhn: =P
MiShy05: Hi

She didn't know what else to say. Only one other matter weighed on her mind and she didn't want to initiate the dialogue having to do with it.

TonyAhn: I got the pic
TonyAhn: thanks!
MiShy05: oh
MiShy05: don't mention it

"Please don't mention it," she was already regretful about what she had done and didn't want him to read into her lack of fast and cheery responses to keep up with his apparent excitement.

TonyAhn: really
TonyAhn: you're so
TonyAhn: so beautiful
TonyAhn: why didn't you wanna show me?
MiShy05: I don't know =T

It was just as expected. TonyAhn was truly taken with HyoLee's image and he believed it to be YonMi.

TonyAhn: I'm almost afraid to ask
MiShy05: what?
TonyAhn: you probably have better things to do
MiShy05: huh?
MiShy05: what do you mean?

YonMi knew he was stalling with his question, the inquiry or the proposal that she dreaded up to now. She wasn't sure she should insist.

TonyAhn: do you have a bf?
MiShy05: bf?
TonyAhn: boyfriend
MiShy05: haha

She sighed relief. The question hadn't been so bad.

TonyAhn: that's hard to believe

Yes it was...for HyoLee. She had many admirers and one potential boyfriend in WooHyuk.

TonyAhn: why don't you?
MiShy05: what?
TonyAhn: why don't you have one?
TonyAhn: you probably have way too many offers
MiShy05: umm no
TonyAhn: how can that be?
TonyAhn: you're really pretty

HyoLee's image kept popping up in YonMi's mind. She wouldn't let herself forget, for one instant, that it was the same picture he had believed to be YonMi.

MiShy05: no, I'm not
TonyAhn: yes you are
MiShy05: please don't say that

She wanted to cry. Tony's reactions to seeing HyoLee were too reminiscent of why WooHyuk had also made the choice he did. HyoLee was pretty. She was a lively beauty and she knew it. But YonMi wasn't HyoLee.

TonyAhn: I'm sorry
TonyAhn: I think you are

YonMi took her hands off of the keys. She walked over to the mirror hoping to see something in her reflection that resembled any part of HyoLee. But she didn't and TonyAhn would never see what that reflection really looked like.

She walked back over to the computer. She wasn't as tired as she was glum, but she hoped a good night's sleep would help her nonetheless.

MiShy05: I have to go now
MiShy05: it's really late
TonyAhn: wait
TonyAhn: I want to ask you something
MiShy05: what?
MiShy05: I thought you already asked

"Ooo no," she had hoped the worst was over.

TonyAhn: no
TonyAhn: but I was wondering

"That's never good."

TonyAhn: JaeWon is having a birthday party here
TonyAhn: this weekend
TonyAhn: and
TonyAhn: I was hoping
TonyAhn: maybe you would wanna come?
MiShy05: what?

"What?"

TonyAhn: be my date to my brother's party
TonyAhn: he's looking forward to meeting you, too

YonMi knew she couldn't run, but she would've liked to. It seemed like the only way to avoid having to either tell TonyAhn the truth or lie...again. She'd done more of that in the last few days than she had all of her life.

TonyAhn: YonMi?

She felt the pressure with every sound of an incoming message, inflate, making her nervous and timid.

TonyAhn: I really wanna meet you
TonyAhn: but I'll understand if you already have plans
TonyAhn: a date maybe?
MiShy05: huh?
MiShy05: no no of course not
MiShy05: I mean
MiShy05: no

YonMi confused herself for a moment, not knowing who she was supposed to be as TonyAhn had been just as taken overnight with HyoLee's picture as he had become with YonMi's personality over the course of the last few months.

TonyAhn: I know it's short notice
TonyAhn: but if you're really not doing anything
TonyAhn: JaeWon doesn't seem impressed with the people I invited
TonyAhn: he'd like to see you, though

"Ooo geez," YonMi felt physically ill, nauseated. She hadn't been able to come up with an excuse, and she started to feel bad for TonyAhn's assumptions about her other plans and for thinking about passing up an invitation from JaeWon, too.

TonyAhn: so can I tell him you'll come
TonyAhn: =) please
TonyAhn: I can come up there and get you

He seemed so hopeful about the idea and broken up about the possibility she was backing out to do something better or to be with someone other than him. But nothing could've been better than spending an evening with TonyAhn, if only she could deliver the girl in that picture.

TonyAhn: YonMi?

-

"You must really like weaving, YonMi."

LeeJin scolded YonMi who's head was once again heard bouncing off of the metal railing to the stairs next to the track field.

"What are you gonna do now?"

"Maybe if I keep this up I can get a concussion before Saturday night," YonMi stopped briefly to speak her piece then proceeded on with the painful head butts.

"Why didn't you just tell him you couldn't make it?"

"I couldn't, LeeJin, I just...couldn't," YonMi moped. "I tried, but he thought I wasn't interested. He thought I had something more important to do, he seemed so sad."

"Sad about not being able to see the girl in the pic? Remember, it wasn't you, YonMi. He's actually expecting HyoLee."

LeeJin didn't know what she was suggesting with that truthful remark, simply stating the obvious.

"You can either tell him the truth tonight, or go to the party and tell him the truth."

The truth seemed to be the only way out, but she feared losing TonyAhn for whatever reason. Whether it was because she lied, or because she didn't meet his standards, he'd have a good enough reason to avoid her forever.

"Unless," YonMi turned to LeeJin in the hopes of hearing another alternative to the truth, a concept YonMi had never tried so hard to escape. "You just don't show up, and then make something up later."

"You mean stand him up?" YonMi opposed...literally objecting to 'standing him up' as she stood to her feet. "I can't do that! Do you have any idea, how bad he'll look in front of everyone! It's not his fault, I did what I did! Why should he pay?"

LeeJin was out of ideas, shrugging her shoulders.

"Sorry," YonMi realized she herself hadn't been able to think of anything. She pulled herself together, sitting next to LeeJin on the concrete steps of the building next to the race track. She patted her forehead gently, the pain then catching up to her.

"What am I gonna do?"

Already Been Done Part 10

YonMi's lecture later that evening depended more and more on WooHyuk's focus. But he soon realized as he read excerpts of the story aloud, that YonMi heard nothing but the deep vibrations of his voice, her mind was at work elsewhere.

"YonMi?" WooHyuk turned his book upside down. When YonMi didn't notice, it was made clear to WooHyuk that his study partner was completely preoccupied with something else.

"YonMi?" he called to her again, this time tapping her on the shoulder and placing the book in her hands.

"Mmm?" YonMi looked at him, holding the book from his hands as placed in hers.

"I'm a little confused about this part right here."

WooHyuk pointed to no passage in particular, and YonMi began observing the text. She squinted behind her specs, when she couldn't read into the unusual linguistic process she didn't think to challenge when she didn't recognize it right away.

YonMi laid the book out on the coffee table, then took off her glasses, cleaning them thoroughly, before putting them back on and trying again.

WooHyuk then turned the book right side up.

"Oo!" YonMi smiled relief at first, but quickly figured out the object behind WooHyuk's trick. "Oo," she shyed away in embarrassment.

"Better?" WooHyuk aped on.

"I'm sorry," she sighed.

"Something wrong, YonMi? You wanna talk about it?" WooHyuk had long awaited an opportunity to talk intimately with YonMi about something that didn't involve school or HyoLee.

"No, nothing's wrong," she laughed nervously, reaching for the book again. "Let's just figure out this passage so you can finish out the first act today, okay?"

WooHyuk pushed the book back onto the coffee table. "I have a whole week before I make my presentation, YonMi. I have plenty of time. Tell me what's bothering you."

"Nothing's bothering me," she was just as insistent as he had been.

"YonMi-"

WooHyuk was about to argue the obvious disinterest shown by YonMi throughout the entire time he had been there. She stood up eager to escape him. A consistent knock at the front door, she scurried over and invited LeeJin inside.

"Thanks for coming."

"No problem. I brought my stuff, so my parents would think we're studying," she laughed.

WooHyuk's unspoken objection, however, was felt as she looked further on into the living room.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was interrupting something, YonMi." She smiled trying to signal WooHyuk's disapproval to YonMi, who seemed to overlook it, or rather was still hoping to avoid it.

"No, it's okay. We were just about to wrap things up."

"Wrap things up? YonMi, we're not even past the first act, yet."

The idea he'd have to end his session with YonMi early, suddenly brought about renewed interest in the assignment he was willing to put off just moments before LeeJin showed.

"Come on, WooHyuk, I have something really important I need to discuss with LeeJin," she whined pleadingly. "Besides, we do have an entire week before your presentation, that's plenty of time."

YonMi wasn't aware she had again used WooHyuk's argument against him. WooHyuk shook his head, frustration paved across his rugged face.

"I promise, I'll make it up to you," YonMi suggested, knowing well how much he counted on her to help him pass his class. "Come early tomorrow, and we'll finish out the first act."

WooHyuk held his book and his notes carelessly together. YonMi didn't realize his behavior then wasn't due to how little they had gotten done, but how much YonMi did to turn away his attempts to act not only as her student, but as her friend. YonMi didn't treat him as anything more than her 7 o'clock, and while it hurt him to know YonMi was no longer interested in him, he knew he had to be patient. It was an understanding he had caused when he chose HyoLee.

"Fine," he whispered, strolling slowly out, waiting for one of the two girls to stop him.

"Thanks, WooHyuk. I'll see you tomorrow." YonMi's grateful smile did help soothe his sorehead, and he looked forward to making up for lost time, the next day.

"Sure."

YonMi closed the door behind him, whereafter, she turned to see the disappointment on LeeJin's face.

"You are a fool," she thwarted with her arms crossed over her chest. "Anyone else would beat some sense into you right about now."

YonMi knew LeeJin meant to make something out of nothing, having watched WooHyuk leave only to please YonMi.

"Don't talk crazy right now, LeeJin. I don't have the sanity!"

YonMi's concern about TonyAhn made her less considerate of anything else, whether it be cutting WooHyuk's time short, or taking the time to listen to LeeJin's claims about cutting WooHyuk's time short.

"I know that's right." LeeJin agreed as YonMi led her down the hall and into her bedroom.

-

PiZza PlaCe was a popular high school hangout in Royal Grove County-busiest toward the end of the week and through the weekend. JaeWon felt bad as he looked around. He didn't want to leave his superior and his fellow employees shorthanded.

But just then, a familiar looking face walked into the joint, all smiles, also counting on his younger brother to come through for the family.

"Tony," he called out. "What brings you here?"

Tony walked up to the counter where JaeWon had been taking orders.

"Came to pick up dinner," he laughed. "We're just about done planning for Saturday, so Mom and Dad thought we'd treat ourselves out tonight.

JaeWon nodded. There was no turning back now. His family had managed to pull off all preparations for a festive gathering in such a short time to celebrate his birthday.

"Here you go, Tony!" A sweet voice hollered cheerfully walking around JaeWon and up to the counter to hand him the pizza he had ordered.

"Thanks, Yuri." Tony's charming smile excited the young girl who always looked forward to his random visits whether to eat or to meet with his brother, her coworker. "So, you coming to JaeWon's birthday party, this weekend? It's gonna be the social event of the year."

"Me? Really?" Starry-eyed, Yuri couldn't resist Tony's engaging tone, and she couldn't hide her interest. "Of course!"

"Great! I'll put you on the list, then."

The girl hopped merrily on her way, and Tony laughed amused at the endearing effect he always seemed to have on her.

"See that? I got you a date for the party!"

JaeWon gave his brother a smirk of sarcastic impression. He had always known it wouldn't be long before his pathetic status would move his family to take action for him. First his parents throw him a party, and now his brother tries to fix him up with someone he already spends much time with.

"So, I'll see you later tonight? I'll save you a slice."

"Yea, thanks. I'll be home early." JaeWon informed his brother as he walked out. "I have to stop by the library and check out some books."

Tony gave JaeWon one last look behind the glass double doors, before getting into his car parked out front and driving away.

Already Been Done Part 11

"So what's this about?"

LeeJin sat on the bed taking the books out of her bag while YonMi paced back and fourth across the monitor, the infamous picture that triggered this drama, beaming from behind the screen.

"I need you to help me figure out a way out of this TonyAhn thing, LeeJin! I don't know what to do!"

"I gave you my ideas, remember? You didn't like any of them."

YonMi flumped down next to LeeJin, considering her many suggestions a second time, trying to make one of them work.

"Well,...what if I just didn't show up, that night?" YonMi imagined TonyAhn's actions that evening. He would probably continue to wait hopeful that she'd show up, even as the night grew older. "What would seem like a good enough reason? Something common and likely, but something that would happen to me? I mean he knows me almost as well as you do."

"If he knows you as well as I do then he'll know you're lying and why, YonMi!"

LeeJin knew deep down that YonMi would never actually agree to standing TonyAhn up. She could see YonMi's eyes shamefully foreseeing the images of him waiting and wondering and eventually concluding that whatever excuse YonMi used was only to hide the fact that she didn't want to meet with him.

"Are you really sure you wanna go there? Why not just tell him the truth?"

YonMi shook her head, shooting up onto her feet and resuming her previous position.

"No, LeeJin, no! If I tell him the truth, he'll either hate me or he'll want to see my picture...my real picture! And I don't want him to see me!"

"Nothing's wrong with your picture!" LeeJin was growing impatient trying to explain to YonMi, "So you're not HyoLee, but she does work at it, you know?"

LeeJin understood why YonMi was feeling so self conscious even though she looked more like the best looking girl in school (HyoLee) than anyone else did. She had never attracted many guys, they'd never look past her sister. When they did in fact notice YonMi first, HyoLee would redirect their attention.

WooHyuk understood that as well. He was a primary example of the average guy, typical, he made a choice that would make YonMi doubtful about her potential from then on.

TonyAhn had also fallen enamored with HyoLee's picture. What more did YonMi need to see?

"Hey!"

HyoLee's swift entrance startled the girls and she grinned curious about what they were up to.

"What's going on?" She walked in.

"Don't you ever knock?" LeeJin argued, knowing YonMi wasn't focusing on anything else at this point.

"I'm sorry. When did you move in?" HyoLee countered smartly and LeeJin rolled her eyes away. "I just came to see how WooHyuk did today."

She turned to her sister, who wasn't eager to give her a detailed description of how things actually went, mainly because she didn't remember.

"Did he say anything about the prom?" HyoLee zoomed in on the main issue concerning WooHyuk.

"No." YonMi shook her head, sitting slowly down on her bed. "He didn't say anything to me, HyoLee."

YonMi didn't really want to focus too hard on TonyAhn, she knew she would make herself crazy. She wanted to clear up any other concerns quickly, so to deal solely with her own problems.

"Is that it?" LeeJin knew YonMi was stressed as it was, and tried to motion to HyoLee that now wasn't the best time to pressure her sister furthermore. "We do have important matters of our own to discuss, if you don't mind!"

"Really?" HyoLee gave a sarcastic look of sudden interest. "Well, I didn't realize that. If you're really struggling with something, YonMi, I'd be happy to offer you some advice."

"Yea?" YonMi turned to look at her sister who sat next to her on the bed. Needless to say, she wasn't really desperate for her sister's opinion in this particular case; but it was rare for HyoLee to offer any kind of help, and it was a gesture YonMi wanted to encourage.

"Of course."

LeeJin had her doubts about HyoLee as YonMi thought fast of a way to word her situation so that her sister wouldn't know it involved her.

"When you narrow it down to wide ruled and college ruled just...go with your instinct."

HyoLee laughed out loud at her senseless joke and LeeJin eyed the girl unforgivingly...if only she knew. But YonMi didn't feel as insulted as she normally did. Her mind was a mess.

HyoLee stood to walk out of the room, her laughter having dialed down a bit, her eyes wandered thoughtfully about the area. She caught a glimpse of the image on the computer screen through the corner of her eye.

"Who's that?" she asked turning her full attention to the picture of Tony on YonMi's monitor.

Again, LeeJin didn't take her inquiry seriously, and YonMi wasn't paying her much mind.

"He's cute. Who is he?" HyoLee crept up to take a closer look.

"He's one of YonMi's friends," LeeJin answered in the hopes to finally quiet her. "His name is Tony Ahn."

"YonMi?" HyoLee sought confirmation from her sister and YonMi simply gave a subtle nod. "He looks good. Does he go to our school?"

"No. He's from another district."

"Really?" HyoLee had dated several guys who attended school outside of Pleasant Ridge and Tony Ahn looked to meet her standards. "Well, he's real cute, YonMi. I didn't know you had such nice looking friends. I'd go out with him."

"I'm sure you would," LeeJin added bitterly.

While HyoLee and LeeJin exchanged cold looks of intolerance, the idea took it's time registering into YonMi's thoughts. It finally did and as a result an idea then occurred to her.

"You would, wouldn't you?" YonMi addressed her sister.

HyoLee didn't know if her sister was trying to make her look selfish, or if she was honestly interested in knowing, "Yea. Wouldn't you?"

"Actually-"

"Well, you know," YonMi jumped ahead of LeeJin before she could boast about the date YonMi had made with TonyAhn for that following weekend, "he's kind of...out of my league." YonMi held a soft tone, a cross between disappointment and again hope. "But if you wanna go out with him, I could fix it up for you."

"What?" LeeJin and HyoLee, though two different approaches, in their reaction, simultaneously responded. HyoLee more amused, and LeeJin just confused.

"Wait. You wanna set me up with this guy? Why?"

HyoLee wasn't claiming she was capable of getting dates on her own, that was a given.

"Yes. Why?" LeeJin was also waiting for an explanation.

HyoLee was not only capable of getting dates of her own, but history had indicated she was also capable of taking YonMi's love interests as well. The idea that YonMi would willingly suggest that her sister take her dates was unnecessary and odd.

YonMi shrugged her shoulders trying to act casual.

"Why would you wanna set me up with the best looking guy you know, YonMi? There has to be a catch."

"No. No catch."

"What? Is he like a nerd? You don't like him? Does he have a deformity?" she insisted. "Three arms? Eleven fingers? Braces?"

"No, I already told you. He's out of my league." YonMi knew even if her sister agreed to go out with TonyAhn, that there was still a special term to the arrangement HyoLee would also have to comply with. "And FYI, he happens to be a varsity basketball star for Royal Grove High School."

"Royal Grove? Really?"

"YonMi!" LeeJin noticed that HyoLee was beginning to fancy the idea, but she didn't understand what YonMi was hoping to accomplish.

"So, let me see if I got this right," HyoLee sat. "You manage to land yourself a basketball star from RG, and you want me to go out with him."

YonMi nodded, but her lips in the form of a pathetic grin told her sister, it wasn't that simple.

"I'm not buyin, YonMi. What gives?"

"Nothing. Honest!"

HyoLee stayed firm about her assumptions.

"...Well,...maybe there's just...one little...condition." HyoLee waited to finally hear it. "You have to...pretend to be...me."

"WHAT?" HyoLee and LeeJin voiced an encore of their harmonic tune.

Already Been Done Part 12

LeeJin finally understood what YonMi's plan was to avoid telling TonyAhn the truth. HyoLee didn't.

"Why would I wanna pretend to be you?"

They both looked over at LeeJin who shook her head in disagreement before realizing she was being watched, and shrugged refusing to voice either an opinion or the actual predicament that led YonMi to ask her sister for help.

"YonMi?" HyoLee grew suspicious watching LeeJin suddenly retreat. "What's going on? Why would you ask me to go out with this guy? As you?"

"Well," YonMi looked at LeeJin for support that LeeJin refused to give again. "Actually, what happened was...see...the thing is."

"What, YonMi?"

"Well," she tried again. "You know when people establish a kinda relationship or a friendship online...they get curious about...about the other person's appearance-and...Well, see, me and Tony," she motioned over to the screen. "We decided to swap pics."

HyoLee nodded, following on thus far.

"Only...when I went to send mine...I accidentally-sent..yours instead."

"WHAT? How does an accident like that occur, YonMi? Do you need new prescriptions or something?"

"It was an honest mistake, HyoLee! You know, we do look alike."

HyoLee scoffed turning away from her sister, and YonMi knew she wasn't buying her story. But rather than admit to HyoLee that she was ashamed of her own picture and sent hers which was so much more worthy of TonyAhn's attention, YonMi tried to make HyoLee focus on the more current situation she had created for herself the night before.

"Look, it really doesn't matter how or why this happened, okay?" She sighed disappointedly as she went on to conclude, "The point is...he really liked your picture."

"Naturally," HyoLee boasted with her arms crossed.

"But he thinks it's me."

"But it isn't-"

"So-"

"So," HyoLee managed put it all together just as each of their responses was cut off by the other's, HyoLee voicing the last of them. "You need my help."

YonMi nodded and LeeJin looked away. She knew HyoLee would make her sister beg, make her show HyoLee just how much more essential she was to YonMi than YonMi to her, make her admit one way or the other that her picture sent and approved by TonyAhn was no accident, make her recite an imploration that put HyoLee on a higher level of acceptance, even by YonMi, who could not hold a candle to the very shadow of her sister.

"You need me, to go out with this guy. You need me to tell him I'm you, because he likes the picture you sent of me that you claimed was yours."

"Right," YonMi nodded again.

HyoLee waited, it looked as though she was really considering coming through for her sister, "...No."

"What? Why not?" YonMi wasn't expecting it would be easy, but HyoLee seemed to be very much amused about the idea of her sister resorting to such tactics to make herself look like her in the eyes of this boy.

"Why should I?"

"Well, come on, HyoLee, since when have you ever passed up a chance to show your sister up?" LeeJin started. "We all know you'd love to show us all just how much more impressed TonyAhn would be with you than with YonMi, he already is. So, what's the problem?"

HyoLee couldn't deny that what LeeJin said was true.

"Look," YonMi tried reason one more time. "All you have to do is go to this party Saturday night, have some punch, mingle with some of the kids from RG, introduce yourself as me, smile and go. You might even have a good time. It might help you forget about all this prom-related stress with WooHyuk."

"Mmm, WooHyuk," a thought occurred to HyoLee. "Might actually help light a fire under him if he thinks I'm dating a guy from Royal Grove."

"Okay," YonMi shrugged. "So...what do you say?"

"Fine," HyoLee threw her hands up as if she were the lone sacrificer. She allowed YonMi to smile hopeful for a few seconds. "But," she added, "it's gonna cost you."

"What do you mean?" The girls turned to her.

"Yea, you're going to benefit from this, too. What was all that talk about making WooHyuk jealous?"

"Hey, I'm not the one in the bind. And I can make WooHyuk jealous with any guy at school. How badly do you need me to do this, YonMi?" HyoLee sat ready to negotiate.

"What do you want?" YonMi sighed.

"Well, I already have my prom dress picked out and fixed up," HyoLee smiled. "But I still need a few dollars for the accessories I want to add so...twenty-five dollars PER DATE."

YonMi gasped. "Wait a minute, it's just ONE DATE, and for that, I'll give you five."

"Twenty," HyoLee stood. "And the only way there wont be at least a second date is if I were to behave cold and negligent towards him and his guests."

"Ten, and I already told you, you can't be yourself."

"Good one," HyoLee laughed amused that her sister was still feeling rather humorous joking about her sister whom she depended on to carry out this plan. "Fifteen or no deal!" Her offer was final.

"Fine." YonMi agreed, but just as her sister had done before, YonMi also stopped HyoLee before she could walk out, quickly announcing one last condition. "But LeeJin's going with you."

"What?!" Neither of the other two, was aware YonMi had this part of the arrangement in mind.

"Why?"

"This is too crucial for me, HyoLee. Everything you do that night will have an effect on my relationship with Tony, and I want to be sure, you don't forget who you're supposed to be. LeeJin will be there to call you on it if and when you do."

"Excuse me, I think I've lived with you long enough to know how to act rigid and boring. I don't need anyone there to set the example." LeeJin gave HyoLee another smirk, annoyed and agitated by the never-ending insults.

"But just in case!" YonMi's decision was also final.

"All right look, I'll drop the fee, if you drop the pest," HyoLee suggested. She had actually began looking forward to the date along with that possibility on the side of putting WooHyuk on the edge. Rather than withdraw completely, she made YonMi an offer she couldn't refuse.

"...Done," YonMi's previous decision wasn't so final anymore.

"And WooHyuk can't know about this," HyoLee turned back on her way out. "Mention this to him as if I were interested in this guy. That'll get him to take action." She smiled ambitiously. She believed that WooHyuk had not lost interest in her and would react to the idea she'd be interested in someone else.

"Fair enough," YonMi obliged. "But you have to meet with me tomorrow, so I can tell you everything I know about Tony and everything he knows about me. I'll leave nothing to chance."

HyoLee shrugged, strolling out of YonMi's room.

"YonMi."

LeeJin hoped that YonMi would come to her senses, and she was prepared to let her know why she should pull back on this arrangement.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm delivering the girl in the pic, LeeJin. Everything's okay, now," she smiled.

"No, I don't understand you. I thought the reason you didn't wanna tell Tony and HyoLee about each other was so this kinda thing wouldn't happen."

Competition among sisters in the same peer group was generally common. Competition among identical sisters with personal differences had proven to be even tougher. YonMi's circle of Internet friends and love interests was most loyal when it wasn't aware of HyoLee's existence.

"Now, you're actually going to fix them up? You? I just don't get it! What are you thinking?"

"This is different, okay? He's gonna think HyoLee is me. He's never gonna know about HyoLee. Once Saturday night is over, everything's going back to normal."

YonMi held a brief doubtful expression on her face, before leaving the room, but LeeJin had caught it and shared the same uncertain concern, falling back onto the bed.

"I got a bad feeling about this."

Already Been Done Part 13

"'Three parts of him is ours already, and the man entire upon the next encounter yields him ours.'"

WooHyuk stopped, to analyze the line. "Three parts?"

YonMi nodded for him to continue, just two verses away from the conclusion of the first act.

After reading the remaining lines out loud, WooHyuk repeated his question. "What does he mean by 'three parts', YonMi?"

"Nothing," YonMi shook her head. "It's just a figure of speech. Like if he were saying 'three quarters', 75 percent-ish," she explained. "Just means that not everyone involved is as convinced as Cassius that Brutus is won over."

"Right," WooHyuk nodded understandingly. "So...is he?"

"That's in the next scene, WooHyuk," YonMi advised him to be patient again, gathering their books and picking up around the coffee table. "For now, Brutus is torn between his love for Caesar and his loyalty to Rome. He wants what's best for the Republic even if it means killing Caesar to keep him from taking the crown."

"So he kills Caesar!" WooHyuk teasingly jumped ahead again.

"I never said that!" YonMi refused to get ahead of the story and WooHyuk eyed her playfully. Surely she'd be willing to reward his interest with a few details into the plot. "But even if he does...that's not what the story's about!"

"What?!" she laughed out loud at WooHyuk's fit of surprise, and he smiled watching her amused at his expense. "Then why is it called 'Julius Caesar' if it isn't about Julius Caesar?"

"Well, his death represents something really meaningful about one of his killers." WooHyuk motioned for her to go on. "If you're really dying to know, why don't you do some extra reading by yourself at home?" she suggested instead.

"Ah, I see what's going on here." WooHyuk had already had a difficult time convincing YonMi to help him with the story and it seemed as though she was still trying to get him to go about it alone. "You're really cute when you're crafty, YonMi."

WooHyuk's flirtatious tone along with his sightly smile made it clear he wouldn't be dismissed so easily. YonMi grinned curiously wondering what he had in mind as he looked over at her fondly. She turned away uneasy, but his position remain constant and unrelenting.

"Ahem."

They both looked up at HyoLee, whose disruption was obvious. She held her hands on her hips, wickedly smiling down on them.

"Sorry for the interruption but-YonMi, have you seen my red blouse?"

She had noted WooHyuk's interest in only YonMi. YonMi had yet to find an opening in which to mention anything about HyoLee's date with TonyAhn.

"What red blouse?"

"You know...my favorite red blouse." YonMi started shaking her head unaware that her sister was making up a dialogue to shift the course of their discussion. "The one I told you I wanted to wear on my date," she gritted her teeth, enforcing a quiet reminder, "tomorrow night."

"Oo! Yea! THAT red blouse!" The light bulb went on and YonMi laughed nervously. "Umm I think Mom said she'd pick it up from the cleaners' tomorrow morning."

"Well, I hope it isn't too late getting here," HyoLee expressed desperation, in front of WooHyuk. "You know how important tomorrow night is," she called out, walking away.

"Big date, tomorrow?" WooHyuk wondered out loud when HyoLee was out of sight.

"Yea." YonMi did recognize the importance of making the date known to WooHyuk, but she also had her own concerns about that night and how it would go. "Big date."

"Well, that's cool."

"Yea, cool," YonMi had yet to revert back to her current purpose, following her sister's lead and speaking as much as possible of TonyAhn. "I mean, yea, Tony is cool," she smiled. "He's smart and sweet and handsome, and a great athlete!"

"Tony?"

"Yea, he's this big varsity basketball star over in Royal Grove."

"Mmm," he continued to look ahead at the pile of books and papers in front of him. "Sounds like the perfect kinda guy for HyoLee."

"R-right," YonMi was again shaken by the idea of her sister with TonyAhn. "But I wouldn't worry," she made the declaration as a comfort to herself as much as an insistence to make WooHyuk aware of the idea HyoLee would spend Saturday night with someone else.

"I'm not worried-"

"Tony is good looking and popular, and he really likes her...a lot," she added, tormenting herself, while overstating the notion to WooHyuk. "But, I-I don't think she feels the same about him." Again, she told herself the same, and again, the assurance was short lived.

"Well, maybe with time," WooHyuk encouraged, unmoved by anything he'd heard.

"Yea...maybe," she whispered. "But you know, I've seen the way she looks at you," she continued. "I don't really think...she's really ready...to really move on."

"Really?" WooHyuk mocked, uncertain if YonMi was even aware she was bobbling her words.

"Really."

"YonMi!" WooHyuk was hoping his assumptions about what YonMi was up to were as off as her speech. For whatever reason, she appeared to be trying to make him jealous while claiming her sister wasn't over him. But he felt neither envious of HyoLee's new beau, nor interested in reconciling with HyoLee.

"Mmm?" She saw the disturbed look in his eye, thought for sure he was onto her.

WooHyuk wanted to call her on what she was doing. He wanted to tell her how he felt and who he really felt for. But YonMi seemed to be doing this for HyoLee no doubt. She might have already convinced YonMi that he was not over her, why else would YonMi try so hard to get a reaction out of him? She had never expressed interest in their affairs before.

"Time's up," he looked down at her watch. Rather than to tell her that her efforts had failed, WooHyuk sought a new day, another time to pick up from where HyoLee's big date would inconveniently be brought to their attention

"Oo, yea."

"How 'bout we do this again tomorrow afternoon?" With HyoLee's time consumed in getting ready for her date with TonyAhn, WooHyuk saw an opportunity to have YonMi to himself without the influence of her sister to spoil another haply moment.

"Sure." YonMi was too nervous and confused to realize, "Wait, no. I'm sorry, I have plans, this weekend. Me and LeeJin always hang out Saturdays," she remembered as she watched him take his things from the coffee table.

"Okay, then. Why don't I come by and keep you both company?" he smiled only half-joking. Had she agreed to the idea, he would've gladly gone with it.

"I don't think so," she chortled at WooHyuk's amorous approach.

"All right, Monday then?"

YonMi nodded, a sorrowful smile on her lips, watching him leave. She felt sorry for wasting his time going on and on about HyoLee and TonyAhn. Whether the look on his face was frustration after YonMi refused to let up on the issue, or woeful having to listen on about his ex-girlfriend with someone new, YonMi was the source from which it came, and she didn't like it.

"Did you see that?" YonMi's thoughts were again interrupted by a lively chant. HyoLee rushed back into the family room, after observing WooHyuk's behavior from down the hall. "That was a four star performance, YonMi! He bought the whole thing!" YonMi forced another happy face for her sister, who felt victoriously high while YonMi felt unchastely low. "After tomorrow, night, we'll both have what we want!"

"Yea."

YonMi told herself it was worth it, if only to be sure tomorrow night would go well. If she was actually depending on HyoLee for help, there really wasn't much she wasn't willing to do.

Already Been Done Part 14

YonMi paced anxiously around the living room, as the time drew closer. Her sister sat applying her make up on the couch and LeeJin as always not too far, staring her down in contempt.

"Okay, quick HyoLee. What position does Tony play for RG?"

"Mmm tackle!"

"What?!"

"Just kidding," HyoLee laughed. "He plays center."

"Okay," YonMi breathed relief before asking her next question. "What's his number?"

"Number 7."

"Good. Birthday?"

"June 7th," before YonMi could ask another, HyoLee put down the basics right away. "His favorite color is red, his favorite flavor is lemon, his favorite season is winter, his favorite team is the Spurs, and his favorite player is M. Jordan...typical," HyoLee scoffed as she brought the compact mirror back up to her face and proceeded to trace over her lipstick.

They stopped everything when they heard a car engine out front and saw headlights shone through the window. The lights didn't pull away, but rather they went off as did the ignition.

"He's here," YonMi gasped and LeeJin ran up to peek through the curtains.

"He's coming!"

"HyoLee!"

"Okay, okay, calm down." HyoLee put her make up back into her purse, and stood to put on her sweater before walking over to the front door. "You girls act like you've never been out on a date before." HyoLee thought back to what she had just said, but the follow up was too easy, and LeeJin read into it before HyoLee could give it another thought.

"Remember, HyoLee. You're not...HyoLee." YonMi tried to show her sister how much was riding on her performance tonight, but HyoLee wasn't as worried and YonMi had faith her sister knew what she was doing.

YonMi's heart skipped another beat, when the knock was finally heard. He had apparently taken his time walking up. It was almost as if the guy standing on the other side of the door shared YonMi's excitement, a feeling that HyoLee didn't often show and tonight was no exception.

YonMi ran to hide behind the wall leading to the hallway. She heard the clicking sounds of the door as HyoLee unlocked it and pulled it open to reveal the flawless features that had led to all of this, features that YonMi would only admire on the monitor.

"Lee YonMi?"

"Hello."

"I'm Tony."

His voice was so sweetly in tune. It wasn't high nor deep, it was as perfect as his image. She imagined she could listen to him talk about absolutely nothing for hours just to hear the sound of his voice enunciating meaningless words.

She heard a muffled wrapping sound as HyoLee was closing the door behind her.

"Wow!" his laugh was so fresh and genuine. "You look even prettier in person than in your picture."

"Thank you."

"These are for you."

"Oo thanks. I'll be right back."

YonMi heard the door close. She saw her sister's shadow walking back into the living room. HyoLee set the expensive looking arrangement of roses on the dining table, and winked over at her sister.

As soon as she walked back out, the door almost completely shut, YonMi ran over to look at the flowers. The door closed shortly after and their voices slipped further and further away.

"Welpppah! They're gone." LeeJin expressed everything YonMi refused to admit she was feeling. She walked over to where YonMi stayed still and silent, admiring the flowers and reading the card with her name on it.

HyoLee had failed to show the kind of gratitude evident on YonMi's face. Perhaps HyoLee had experienced the gesture too many times, she lost sight of how special it really was. Maybe HyoLee just didn't see many guys the way YonMi saw them. It could be that HyoLee didn't appreciate something so simple as opposed to something more...well, something more.

With that in mind, YonMi noted that HyoLee was already forgetting who's place she was taking on this important night for YonMi. But LeeJin knew YonMi's concern wasn't about HyoLee getting out of character but rather that her leading man, unaware that the girl with him wasn't the girl he thought she was, would give the best performance he could to impress her.

"I'll go start the car."

YonMi had also been betrayed by her own intuitions. She might've been worried that asking her sister for help was a mistake either because she feared HyoLee wouldn't do the job right and out YonMi along with all that they put together, or because she was just jealous that HyoLee was spending an evening with yet another guy YonMi had long had her heart set on.

She blinked thoughtfully. It really didn't matter why the idea was suddenly so unsettling, she followed LeeJin's path out the front door and toward the car.

Already Been Done Part 15

JaeWon sat in his room, listening to all of his party guests collectively gather inside his home. His brother had left his side momentarily to fetch his date from way out in Pleasant Ridge. His father had promised to stay as far from the festivities as possible to accommodate his birthday boy; and his stepmother was left alone in the kitchen catering to the needs of Tony's many visitors. JaeWon was reluctant to leave the solace in his bedroom. He held his hands over his knees, tapping his thumbs together nervously.

"JaeWon," the knocking came again as it had every now and then.

JaeWon went to let his mother into his room. He closed the door behind her and went to resume his previous position.

"What are you still doing in here? You have a party going on out there. You're being rude." She called out as JaeWon sat back on his bed pretending to adjust his clothes.

"Is SeungHo back yet?" He knew he would have the courage to meet his-or more accurately put his brother's-classmates only when Tony was actually there to guide him through it.

"Not yet." His mother sat next to him. She brought her hand up to brush his cheek softly. "He's not going to be pleased to find you in here when he does return."

JaeWon knew that as much as Tony looked forward to tonight because of YonMi, that seeing his brother so unhappy on his birthday would ruin that. It would affect everyone who cared anything about him. "I know, 'Ma. I just can't do it." He wanted to hide, to cry. He felt more alone and insignificant with everyone there than he ever did without their attention. "I don't know anyone out there. Why couldn't we just go out? Just the four of us?"

"You're 17, JaeWon." His mother tried to comfort him. "We were really hoping you'd like this more. It's not healthy for you to stay in here all the time. We want you to get out there and make some friends."

"But those are Tony's friends. They don't know anything about me," JaeWon argued, pushing himself off of the bed.

"How can they learn anything about you when you trap yourself in here?"

JaeWon didn't know how to describe what he was feeling. He felt so out of place, yet he was content in his ignorance. He didn't have an interest in making friends with Tony's fans and supporters, they weren't his to claim. And who's to say they were even interested in being his friends? They were Tony's friends, not his.

"Would you at least come out and greet them? Just a few minutes. SeungHo should be here anytime. Don't let him find you in here," she implored of his cooperation if only to show some gratitude to everyone who showed as well as to everyone who worked hard and fast putting the party together for him.

"Just give me a minute," he turned to look at her pleadingly, promising to keep his end.

She stood and walked over to embrace him, pulling away to brush lint off of the shirt over his shoulders, before walking back out and into the party.

-

LeeJin turned on the busy street where the party was taking place. Cars were parked along the curb and seemed to cover the entire block, including the corresponding street in front of the address.

"I don't think they're here yet," she cruised slowly checking out the area.

"How do you know?" YonMi looked out as they passed the house, packed with teenagers.

"Well, I'm assuming that empty space in the driveway is meant for him." She stopped in front of the house next to the aforementioned infested salon. "Do you see HyoLee anywhere?"

"No." She gave LeeJin the go ahead and she accelerated further up. "There's a space right over there." YonMi pointed across the street and LeeJin trickled past it, then stopped to reverse into the small space in-between two other vehicles.

"What could be taking them so long?" LeeJin turned off the car, and looked over at YonMi who was still looking back hoping to spot either of the two near the party. "You think they stopped for gas?"

"No." YonMi shifted back ahead. "He's not in any hurry to get here. He knows doing something like this isn't easy for me."

"Something like what?"

"Getting out. Going out. Dating."

"Or maybe, he just wanted to be alone with you," LeeJin tried to cheer YonMi up, before realizing, "or her...I mean, you know...whatever," she gave up. "What are we supposed to do now?"

YonMi drummed her fingers on the armrest of the passenger door. "Well, we'd look pretty suspicious just sitting here." She looked back to make sure neither TonyAhn nor HyoLee were in sight. "Let's get off, and hide somewhere."

"Oo yea, that wouldn't look too suspicious," LeeJin joked as she opened her door.

"Let's go around the back of this house, and sneak up the side," YonMi whispered closing hers.

"Why can't we just go inside? These are all RG kids. They wont know who we are." LeeJin led YonMi across the street.

"LeeJin, think!" YonMi stopped her in front of a neighboring house. "If they see me, then they see HyoLee, they're gonna start to ask questions." LeeJin nodded. "I'm nervous as it is, think about these things!" She lectured. She knew the risk she was taking and she knew she would not be successful without a helpful constituent on the same page.

"Well, I'm sorry. It's not like I do this everyday!" LeeJin snapped back. "I don't know too many twins in this kinda predicament."

"Shhh." YonMi signaled for her to lower her voice as the two walked over to the side of another home, houses down from the party.

"I still think one of us should be on the inside, YonMi," LeeJin whispered. "They wont see two of me," she suggested. "I mean unless they've had a little too much to drink-"

"You're right," YonMi agreed. "Go ahead and go, but as soon as you see Tony, hide. He'll remember who he invited."

"Right," LeeJin began fixing herself up as best as she could without a kit. "Be careful," she mouthed audibly as she walked further up the sidewalk in the direction of the party.

"You, too," YonMi whispered back, turning around to inspect the backyard for animals and hazards before climbing over the gate. "UMPH!" She fell hard on her knees. She picked up her glasses and slipped them back on, standing up to brush herself off and running over to the next lot. The houses all looked empty, almost as if everyone on that block was off attending the celebration.

-

Meanwhile, LeeJin strolled quietly into the party. She looked around for one of two familiar faces, but found none.

She went over to the punch bowl and picked up one of many cups already served and ready for the guests. Unsure of what might've been in the mix, she hadn't planned on drinking it, but she held on to it as she sat in a corner near what looked like the kitchen.

Everyone there was either seen dancing or talking in groups and no one approached her. She breathed easy for the time being, slouching back into her seat and pretending to sip punch from her cup.

LeeJin couldn't help but notice one young man as she observed everything in sight. He seemed out of place, perhaps an employee trying to keep busy, picking up used cups and plates and walking past her many times in and out of the kitchen.

-

JaeWon packed trash into a big bag while his mother loaded more snacks onto the trays to be taken out to the party guests.

"I'll be back to put those out, 'Ma," he lifted the bag over his shoulder. "I'm going to put this beside the house with the others. Me and SeungHo can take care of all this trash tomorrow morning."

His mother looked on, smiling approvingly, and JaeWon walked out, past a young lady who sat just outside of the kitchen.

"Excuse me," he uttered softly to her and to everyone crowding his path on the way out. He hoped to find his brother's car in the driveway.

-

YonMi was one gate away from Tony's house. She jumped back over to the front and crept up to the side. She saw few kids sitting on the stairsteps. They were all distracted by classmates and deep conversation, YonMi felt secure she wouldn't be spotted and tip toed closer. She stopped when she thought she was close enough to see TonyAhn or her sister walking into the party or out if they weren't already inside.

She wondered how LeeJin was coming along, but her thoughts were pushed back by a sudden panic in her chest. A tall figure appeared to be walking in the direction of where she stood trying to hide. She immediately hit the cold, hard deck between two bushes lined up along the side of the house.

'OUCH!' she tightened her lips to keep from wincing in pain, as the pointy leafs sunk into her skin. She felt around the rough soil for her glasses, which had fallen off a second time that night. It wasn't that she was blind without them, but it was darker underneath those bushes to see how far they had landed.

She smiled relief when she saw they had fallen beside the shrub in front of her. She crawled carefully to them. She reached out to take them. They were within her grasp-

*SQUASH!*

She thought she heard cracking sounds beneath the big trash bag that had nearly caught her fingers as it came down from out of no where and crashed down on her frames. But beside the bag, she saw a set of clean, white sneakers that looked too new to have fallen out. She closed her eyes and raised her head hoping to find nothing more.

Blocking the sky, however, was a thin outline all the way down. She didn't see a face, but a pitch black loom standing over her.

"This is probably none of my business, but," it spoke. It snuck further down to reveal a clear, youthful looking lineament. "What are you doing down there?"

Thanks, Jessica, for the feedback! ^^

Already Been Done Part 16

"H-hi," she forced a nervous laugh, a hard swallow in her throat with her neck stretched out as her head remain tilted upward, facing the unmoving obstruction.

"Hi." JaeWon smiled inquisitively waiting to hear an explanation for the girl's peculiar position. When she couldn't muster up a sensible account, he reached his hands out and offered to help her to her feet.

-

YonMi placed her hands in his and pushed herself off of the ground. A closer look into the detailed features on his face, she squinted, leaning closer, trying to remember where she thought she might have seen them prior to this night. "Thanks."

JaeWon was also briefly taken by some familiar looking traits he couldn't quite place right away. "Don't I know you from somewhere? Do you go to RG?" He knew it was a stretch, he never lifted his head long enough to look someone in the face when at school.

"No." She smiled to let him know that while she was certain she hadn't seen him around school, she, too, did recognize him.

He was actually a friendly looking guy, a sheepish expression on his thinly shapen face. His brown eyes looked weary with high cheek bones aligned closely underneath, while his lips were extraordinarily full and paunchy. She had only seen pouty lips like that on one other person, and she'd seen them frequently.

"Wait. Don't you work for PiZza PlaCe? Delivery?"

"Yea," he laughed, suddenly remembering. As often as he had seen this girl on his rounds, the two never shared so much as a minute together. "Wow, I almost couldn't tell who you were."

He looked into her face again, he had seen it many times to note something was different.

"What?" his lengthy observations began to make her feel uncomfortable.

"N-nothing. I'm sorry. I just...I mean, you look...different." He turned away, to alleviate the discomfort she felt. "I'm sorry."

"Oo. Well, I'm not wearing my glasses," she grinned.

"Right!" He recalled excitedly, finally placing her. "I thought there was something missing." He didn't realize how right he was. "So, you stopped wearing them?" JaeWon spoke casually picking up the trash bag and moving it closer to the side of his house.

"Not really," YonMi was reluctant to let him know he was responsible for whatever damage was done to them. "I still wear them. I just lost them," she made a fleeting motion, glancing about the small area surrounding her.

"Oh, really? Here?" He mimicked her brief action, walking back to where he was and inspecting the acreage beside his home. "Want me to help you look for them?"

"No, that's not necessary," she smiled, trying to dismiss him. "I found them."

"Oh? So, where are they?"

"...There," she pointed hesitantly over to where he was standing.

He looked down, and found a twisted set of broken frames just inches from where he stood. "Oo," the apprehension escaped his mouth, widened in embarrassment for what he had done. "I'm really sorry about that."

YonMi shook her head, again hoping to keep him from making a fuss over what had happened. But JaeWon went over to pick them up, hunching down and leaning over, holding the pieces together in his hands.

He was too close for her to attempt an escape from the scene. As he was looking away, she took the opportunity to make sure no one else was looking in their direction.

"I think I should pay for these," he suggested, facing up at her.

"Oh, no. That's fine," she quickly declined the offer. "I don't really need them to get home. I'll just have them fixed tomorrow." He nodded, still holding his shameful position down low. "It's okay, really," she reinforced her preference, reaching for her crooked specs.

"Wait a minute."

But just as they were once again within her grasp, JaeWon came to another realization and pulled them back.

"What were you doing back here, anyway?" He rose up to better establish the authority he had given up trying to remember where else he had seen this girl.

"That really doesn't concern you," YonMi tried to sound as firm as he suddenly appeared.

"I live here-"

"Okay, so maybe it does." His hostile tone broke her aggressive reproach. She hadn't picked up on what he said, only on how he said it and her confidence retrieved. "I swear I wasn't doing anything wrong," she pled helplessly. She saw his head jerk to the side and back waiting to hear what exactly she was doing there. "I was just...passing by...just checking out the party."

"But why from out here? Weren't you invited?" JaeWon didn't realize how cold his approach had actually become until his last two questions played back in his mind.

Even though this girl did live a ways from where the party was taking place, she had obviously heard something about it, perhaps from someone else who had been personally included on the guest list. He knew his brother wouldn't purposely leave anyone out. This girl might have accompanied someone who had received an invitation, maybe she learned about it through kids in her district who had made plans to attend, and she didn't want to intrude or help herself inside without knowing it was okay. She might have actually felt as alone as he did, literally standing on the outside looking in.

"Well,...n-yes-no, I mean-"

"You know what? Nevermind," he smiled apologetically, holding her glasses out for her to take.

"Thanks," she sighed.

He turned away and back, to let her know her gratitude wasn't necessary. "If you'd like to come inside and have some punch, you're welcome to," he tried to redeem his actions and the inconsiderate behavior that followed.

"You live here?" she frowned curiously.

"Yea."

"Oo, no, you must be the brother!" The whisper was audible and the look on her face, a troubled one after the invitation she had just received.

"What?" He drew closer.

"I-I said, you must be the birthday boy?" she quickly rephrased.

"Uuuh yeah. Yup. Seventeen years, today," he shrugged carelessly with his hands in his pant pockets.

"Well, congratulations."

JaeWon forced an impartial smirk, and YonMi was in too much of a hurry to give any thought to what he was feeling and why.

"I'll let you get back to your party, then," she let him off, hoping to make a getaway while his back was turned.

"Not my party," he spoke sadly, and she knew he wasn't going anywhere. "My family put this together for me but...I don't know anyone in there. They're my brother's friends and he's not here."

YonMi had learned about JaeWon's friendless plight through several discussions with his brother online. But she hadn't recognized it to be something she felt so familiar with until just then, listening to him describe everything she identified with.

"I'm not in a hurry to go back in there." The sincerity in his eyes was in fact so comforting, for a second, YonMi forgot what she was trying to do before. "I feel more alone in there than I do out here."

"Mmm, I know just what you mean," she felt moved to share her feelings about the social status left for her to take after her sister had accounted for everything else. "I don't get out much, myself, to parties or anything like that. Not that I'm always invited," she laughed. "I just don't feel like I belong there...or here."

"Really?" He didn't ask the details of her dilemma, but he figured if she had preferred looking in from way out there, she must've felt what he felt. "Well, then, I guess I should thank you for coming out here tonight."

Both smiled pleasantly for the first time in many days. But YonMi felt bad she hadn't really been able to attend his party. TonyAhn had been right about his guest list including people his brother didn't agree with, but he must've known why JaeWon would look forward to meeting YonMi as much as he did. If JaeWon only knew that she was...her.

"I'm JaeWon, by the way," he reached out to shake her hand, and she extended her hand to him as well.

YonMi smiled knowingly as he released it.

"What's your name?"

"Y-uuuh-"

"Hey Wonnie!"

She nearly broke her cover, barely saved by-

"Tony!" JaeWon turned waving down and hollering back, acknowledging his brother's much needed presence. "Hey!" he looked to have recovered from his sullen state right then.

'Tony!' YonMi, however, was all but happy to know he was just a few feet away from the discovery that would wreck everything.

"What are you doing back there?" She heard TonyAhn ask JaeWon who was still facing in the direction from where his brother stood in front of the house. "The party's in here!"

Meanwhile, YonMi had already taken a few steps back and when she thought she was far enough, she started swiftly and silently toward the rear.

"Yea-I was just-"

"Come on in here. I want you to meet YonMi!"

"Okay, I'll be right there!" he waited until his brother started walking up the stairsteps on his way in, then turned to find-, "So listen, you wanna come...," she was no longer there, "...inside?"

He walked further into the darkness trapped between the side of his house and the house next door. He leaned over the gate cutting off the back lawn, but he couldn't see her, and she hadn't given him a name to call out.

Already Been Done Part 17

LeeJin managed to scurry in hiding about the dance floor, while TonyAhn worked the crowd with HyoLee on his arm. She saw their smiling faces from behind group after group of people as she snuck in the direction of the front door. When their backs were completely turned, she made a break for the exit.

-

"Oo!" JaeWon grabbed a firm hold on the girl who nearly knocked him over on her way. She had made a sharp turn before setting foot on the last descending step of the stairs leading into the front entrance of his home. "Sorry about that," he held her from falling.

"Thanks." The girl hurried down the street and into the dark of night.

JaeWon continued to turn back, hoping to see another girl, one he found hiding beside his house. He gave the description of her appearance to few unknowns still mingling outside, but it seemed as though her plan to observe the party quietly and unseen had been carried out to perfection...not that anyone there had any interest in knowing the guest of honor, let alone any other guest they weren't already familiar with.

He finally gave up on finding his avid tipper, knowing he would see her again soon on his rounds about the Pleasant Ridge district.

He walked back into the party, and saw his brother already introducing his date to his many friends in attendance. Just seeing Tony there, put JaeWon more at ease, and he decided to let him alone with the girl.

"Oo damn!" He looked over at the refreshment table, and saw several empty trays, stacked atop one another. He rushed to pick them up, and carried them in abundance into the kitchen, where his mother was quickly running out of counter space.

"Sorry, 'Ma. I forgot."

She flashed him a smile and continued on about her tasks.

He set the empty trays on the counter and washed his hands before taking two more of those ready to be served. He carried one in each hand, placing and adjusting them on the table. He proceeded to pick up any empty used cups, plates and napkins that had been carelessly tossed back onto the neatly fixed surface.

"Excuse me? Can you tell me what's in this blend?"

From behind, her voice had the same sweet pitch he had recently encountered, but the approach seemed less tolerant, and more competent.

"Hey!" He turned to look into her face, rejoicing aloud the unmistakable find of that mysterious girl who had run off just after the arrival of his brother. "What happened to you?"

He saw her brows shoot up as if she didn't know what he meant to ask. But rather than read more into the expression, he took notice to one change other than that of her demeanor.

"And how did you-," he motioned to the ensemble he couldn't remember seeing her wear before.

-

"YonMi, what are you doing down there? I've been doing birdcalls for the last half hour! When did you come back?" LeeJin found her sitting on the ground in front of her car.

YonMi brought her hands up over her thigh and rubbed them together, an ember-ish gray after mindlessly toying with the loose gravel beside her. "It's over, LeeJin," she sighed sadly. "It's all over."

"What do you mean?"

YonMi groaned, lazily lifting her weight up off the pavement with her legs. She wearily brushed away any dirt she could reach on her backside as she walked toward the passenger side of LeeJin's car.

"I'll explain it on the way." She slowly swung the door open and plopped down on the seat.

"Where are we going? Tony and HyoLee just got here."

"I'll explain it on the way." YonMi reached back and pulled the strap out and over her body. LeeJin shook her head in confusion, second guessing herself as she climbed into the car.

"Where are your glasses?" The light on, inside as her door remain open, revealed YonMi's worried expression, unhidden behind her signature specs. "I don't get it, YonMi. You mean to tell me, after all this, we're not even gonna stay and make sure HyoLee doesn't-"

"She hasn't, LeeJin." YonMi continued to look ahead. "I have. I already ruined everything."

LeeJin wasn't sure if they were talking about the same thing.

"Are you sure?" she asked almost uncertain of what she herself was asking.

"I'm so stupid!" YonMi grit her teeth, "I should've just run away. He would've never seen me!"

"He saw you?!" LeeJin didn't know whether to be happy or disappointed that the gig was up. As she waited for a more definitive reaction from YonMi to get an idea of what she should feel, she thought back to the smiling faces she last saw back at the party. "Wait. When?"

"I'll never be able to face Tony online again! I wont be able to order pizza again! I'll have to find a whole new place!"

"What?" LeeJin finally realized she hadn't been following.

"I'll explain everything on the way. Just get me out of here, please," YonMi whimpered and LeeJin closed her car door, fastening her safety belt and starting up the motor.

-

"But weren't you just outside?"

"Outside? What would I be doing outside?" she laughed.

JaeWon's efforts continued to make him look desperate in the eyes of this girl, eyes that he swore he identified and identified with not twenty minutes ago. They'd suddenly lost their depth and sensibility, and looked upon his with less sympathy than before.

"Glasses!" He remembered, "Remember? Your glasses?"

"Remember what?"

"Hey!" He was again interrupted by his older brother from behind before he could establish what he'd been trying to since the first time he saw this very same girl outside his home... "I see you've met YonMi."

"YonMi?"...her name.

"YonMi, this is my brother. Remember, I told you about him?" Tony walked over to her, standing next to her and presenting JaeWon...again as far as JaeWon was concerned.

"Oo right," she smiled. "JaeWon, isn't it?"

"Yeeeea," JaeWon uttered smartly, and she turned away carelessly, "I told you that earlier, didn't I?"

"Oo, had you two already met?" Tony smiled.

"No."

"Yes!"

The two responded just as they had been asked-together.

"Not that I can recall," she added. "I think I would remember meeting you, if I did," she looked back at JaeWon, observing him closely. "Well,...maybe not," she whispered haughtily.

"Huh?" JaeWon refused to buy into it.

"JaeWon!"

He spun around and saw his mother signaling for his help in the kitchen again. He nodded acknowledging her authority and then turned back to the girl standing next to his brother.

"Want me to go see what she needs?" Tony offered.

"No, that's okay. People here have been waiting on you all night. I'll go." JaeWon's short lived enthusiasm had been seemingly brought down by the same girl who had given him any kind of hope and he sought sanctuary again in the kitchen with his mother. "Well, it was nice meeting you...I guess."

"Likewise," she continued to show no consideration for his feelings as he walked away.

"Pretty cool, huh?" Tony had faith YonMi and JaeWon would get along, but he noted that hint of enmity in his brother's dismissal as well as in the girl's indifferent smirk. "He's just really shy around crowds of people."

"I see," she sipped her punch, unaffected by either of their endeavors.

"So, would you like to dance?"

-

JaeWon helped his mother clean up around the kitchen, organizing the snacks, and tossing trash into collective piles, bagged up.

"I'm going out to meet your Dad, in a few minutes," she called out. "I think these refreshments should do. The punch mix is right next to the refrigerator. Be sure to refill the bowl, it's starting to look empty out there."

JaeWon obliged, wishing his mother a good night as she adjusted her garb and her hair, ready to leave him to his party for the remainder of the night.

"We'll be back in a few hours," she smiled. "Try to have some fun, okay?" She went over to him, affectionately picking more imaginary lint off of his shirt and pecking the flesh beneath his high cheekbone. "Happy birthday."

"Thanks, Mom." He saw her out of the kitchen and watched as she hurried across the room, quickly kissing his brother's cheek good night, and running out of the house.

He slowly walked to the refreshment table to retrieve the punch bowl which had been down to it's last few milliliters at the very bottom. As he held it in his long arms, he saw her dancing with his brother, so carefree, so comfortable, so unlike the girl he insisted he met earlier before his brother had even shown.

He moved toward the kitchen, checking back every other step, in the hopes, she'd notice him there. But like everyone else, she didn't. She wasn't even looking to find him. Where he once thought, he'd acquaintanced a genuine friend-more so in the girl who seemed so much more compassionate online with both he and his brother-he again had no one.

-

Later that night, tired, YonMi led LeeJin into her empty house. LeeJin, however, was just beginning to put the pieces in place as she hopped a few steps behind her and into the living room.

"Wait a minute! Are you trying to tell me, that that tall, gangly looking guy at the party is Tony's brother? And your delivery guy?" LeeJin laughed at the odd coincidence, closing the front door when the two were inside.

"Right."

"And he saw you?"

"He did more than see me. We had a huge discussion before I realized who he was. He even...offered to pay for my glasses."

"And you're sure about this. He lives there? Same exact delivery guy?"

YonMi sighed frustration tossing her house keys on the coffee table and falling onto the couch, allowing herself to sink into the cushiony exterior and slouching down to better achieve the concept.

"This is too weird. What are you gonna do now?"

"For starters, I'm gonna check the yellow pages for another pizza place." As ridiculous as YonMi sounded, LeeJin knew she wasn't joking and tried to with hold her amusement. "Then, I'm gonna donate my computer to the school."

"Oookay, just hold on a minute, we don't know what might have happened. I mean, there's a reason you sent HyoLee's pic to Tony, right? You two are different, in many ways...maybe...this guy wont...see you...when he sees...her." LeeJin's words were slow to come out and she suspected they wouldn't work.

"This is all my fault," YonMi stood back up. "I set this whole thing up and now I ruined it all. There's no way HyoLee will be able to keep this secret by herself when JaeWon realizes something's going on. And you know what? She shouldn't have to."

YonMi believed in what she said, but she couldn't deny she was feeling helpless, frightened, and heart broken, knowing she might have lost TonyAhn before she even had him. She found herself standing against the wall beside the entrance hall, and slid heavily down to the floor.

"Right about now, JaeWon is telling Tony everything."

-

Back at the party, JaeWon sat secluded in a corner looking out at all of his guests enjoying themselves. His brother slow danced in the center of the dance floor with his arms around his beautiful date.

-

"Then, they're gonna back HyoLee into a corner, and she's gonna spill everything."

-

Tony pulled the girl closer, content to finally have her so close and hopeful she would feel comfortable enough with him to accept his gestures.

-

"I'm finished, LeeJin."

-

HyoLee went along with TonyAhn's motion, smiling success, and crowing confidence inwardly that WooHyuk's knowledge of how this evening went along was sure to stir an unhealthy abhorrence within him.

-

"Yup...I am so dead."

Already Been Done Part 18

He felt himself nearly pulled off of his mattress, as the tugging on his arm became harder and harder.

"JaeWon!" He just managed to reclaim his appendage, turning his back to his younger brother and facing the opposite direction. "I'm tired! What's going on?"

JaeWon hadn't let up, and continued pouncing on the edge of the bed, forcing his brother to slide back to the other side from where he tried to move away. "Come on, Tony! Get up! We're gonna be late for church!"

"Boys! Is everybody up?" Tony heard his mother call from a distance outside of his bedroom and scrambled immediately to his knees before she would walk in.

"All right! All right! I'm up!" Tony rubbed his eyes and scratched his head before kicking a laughing JaeWon off of his bed and proceeding to attack him.

"Stop! You're gonna ruin the suit!" JaeWon struggled to fight him off in his Sunday best. "Hey, what's this?" He stumbled on his way to Tony's monitor just as Tony left him to prepare his clothes. "Your new desktop?" he teased, looking at the image from the attachment sent by MiShy05 days before.

"What?" Tony looked over his brother's shoulder. "Oo no, I just have it open." He grabbed his mouse and closed out the window. "I was waiting for her to come on last night after I dropped her off, but...guess she was tired," he shrugged. "She'll probably be on later."

"You really like her, huh?" JaeWon sat on his brother's bed, playing with his tie.

"Yea!" Tony shouted with a frown on his face that questioned JaeWon's preference. "What's not to like? She's beautiful, she's perfect, and she likes me."

JaeWon looked away, trying to act casual. "No, I was just saying." He had not forgotten about the strange behavior the girl had displayed at his party as opposed to the impression she had given him before, when they were alone outside of his house.

"Although...."

JaeWon turned back to look at Tony when he heard he was about to counter his own claims.

"Although?"

"I mean you've seen me chat with her lotsa times, right?" Tony picked up from somewhere into the conversation, JaeWon had yet to realize they were having. But he nodded, confident he would understand what his brother was getting at. "Didn't she seem...kinda different...just a little bit?"

"Well, actually-"

"But a lot of people are like that, right?"

Tony continued on, before JaeWon could mention the shift he'd witnessed in her demeanor. Having denied to JaeWon's face that she ever saw him or met with him, he knew, she most likely hadn't mentioned anything to Tony.

"Uuuh, like what?"

"You know...different in person than they are online," Tony spoke as he rummaged through his drawers. "They have a certain facade in the chat, but then...I don't know!" He couldn't figure out a way to explain why this girl should have been such an exception to that rule. His dresser shook as he slammed his drawer back into place. "I mean, don't get me wrong, she's great! I loved being with her last night...just that..."

"Yea?" JaeWon continued to wait for the perfect opening in which he could add his own example.

"She just seemed so...different...like a different person. When I picked her up, when I introduced her to my friends, when I introduced her to you-,"

"Yea," JaeWon nodded.

"Just,...not what I expected," Tony thought for a minute, before shrugging it off and walking over to his closet.

"Yea, I know," JaeWon started. "I-I coulda sworn, she remembered me...then she didn't."

"Remembered you?" Tony looked over at JaeWon, who now stood just in front of his door.

"Yea. Remember when I told you she looked familiar in the picture?"

"Oo, yeah."

"She orders from PiZza PlaCe all the time and...I deliver-"

"What?" Tony laughed at the unbelievable coincidence, but JaeWon remained all but amused as he went on.

"I mean, I thought she recognized me before, and then all of a sudden-"

"Well, I'm sure she would have if you were the only pizza delivery guy in the city, JaeWon," Tony teased him. "But you're not, she must see too many faces, to remember just one."

"Right," JaeWon whispered wistful, realizing that the idea he might have stood out among the many delivery guys she most likely came across was a foolish misunderstanding. "You're right." Though his mind was still in a mess of confusion, he wasn't sure just what part of the evening or rather which of the two encounters he thought he had with what looked to be like the same girl was the illusion that was throwing him off, and he decided to stop thinking about it before it was to drive him crazy.

"I'll talk to her tonight, though," unlike his brother who was just about ready to give up understanding what was going on, Tony felt hopeful, everything would soon fall into place. "I really want to ask her to the game on Thursday!"

"Cool," JaeWon then retrieved at the sound of excitement in his brother's voice. "Oo," he turned back, "When you do get in touch with her, though, tell her if she still needs help with her glasses, my offer stands."

"Okay."

Tony's response allowed JaeWon to walk out comfortable for the first time, that he hadn't been completely out of it if his brother did in fact know about the incident concerning the girl's glasses.

"Her glasses?"

But Tony wasn't aware of the incident, and JaeWon's request hadn't completely registered in his mind as he was already thinking about YonMi while coordinating his wardrobe simultaneously. JaeWon wasn't within distance to hear his brother wonder out loud.

"What glasses?"

-

She toyed with the loose pieces, bending them into place, shaping them to what they should've looked like.

"How did this happen, YonMi?"

She heard her mother call to her from the kitchen as she sat at the dining table, eating her breakfast.

"Uumm," the dishes in front of her made a loud clinking sound when she dropped everything and ran into the kitchen. "They fell," she smiled. "When I went back for them, someone had already stepped on them...or something." She kept telling herself that what she said was technically true and she walked closer.

"Mmm," however, her mother looked to be checking for footprints.

"So, what do you, think? Fixable?" YonMi jumped before she would find anything.

"Well, maybe, but...," without warning, the mother suggested, "Why don't you get yourself some pretty contacts?" YonMi turned away listening to her mother go on. "You've been wearing these old frames for years. Why don't you let me get you some nice color contacts? You have such beautiful eyes, why hide behind these?"

"'Ma," YonMi turned to her begging for her understanding and her help. "Please?"

"Fine."

YonMi beamed when her mother gave in.

"Just put them away for now, and tomorrow, I'll swing by the mall and we'll see what they say," YonMi's joy was so gratifying for her, she felt glad and useful to her daughter and accepted the embrace with a corresponding smile.

"Thanks, Mom!"

"HyoLee! Are you almost ready?" the mother again called out, just as YonMi ran into her bedroom to put her broken specs away. "We don't want to be late for the service."

"Just a few minutes, 'Ma."

Her bedroom door open, YonMi saw her sister walk from the bathroom back to her room across the hall from where YonMi slept. While YonMi wore a flannel jumper befitting for an elderly administrator, her sister walked out of the washroom in her luxurious pink lingerie slip, curls animating her soft straight hair.

"Hey, HyoLee!" YonMi raced over just as her sister was about to close the door. "How'd it go last night? You got home really late."

LeeJin managed to convince YonMi the night before, that everything had worked according to plan if Tony hadn't been following close behind them with HyoLee. The two had been unable to keep their eyes open past eleven o'clock to find out what had happened.

"Oo, that," HyoLee strolled boorishly over to her dresser. "It went okay."

"So everything's okay," YonMi asked again for reassurance.

"Yea, it worked out really well," HyoLee complied, while carefully applying her make up in front of the mirror. "Your Tony is quite the charmer," she laughed. "Everybody loved him at the party, and I was the envy of every girl there, of course."

"Of course," YonMi felt compelled to give her sister more credit than she deserved for carrying out a plan YonMi nearly fumbled for them.

"Has a nice house, nice car, and he smells really good," HyoLee stopped everything she was doing to better analyze his fragrance. "Like one of those expensive designer after shaves...Chivalry or Chopard. No! Scassi," she added.

"Wow," YonMi felt her spirit sink and luckily the wall beside her sister's door was there to help hold up what was left of her. She'd started reflecting on all the details, Tony had mentioned many times, but details he spoke of with sincere modesty and candor, as opposed to the tone HyoLee and probably many other girls held when they talked about how classy and refined a gentleman he truly was.

"Yup, he's quite the catch," but HyoLee spoke as if she had no real interest in Tony, as if while he did make a great impression on her, her motive hadn't altered in that process at all.

Even though, YonMi'd found it hard to accept that a guy like that would have any interest in her to begin with, she felt somewhat secure she wouldn't lose him now. Everything had worked out and she could continue to converse with him online like they did before.

"Oo! But that one guy? His brother?"

YonMi froze when she thought she heard her sister mention, "...JaeWon?"

"Yea," she laughed, "he kept swearing over and over again that he knew me."

"Oh?" YonMi panicked, hiding her fearful grin.

"I told him I didn't remember ever meeting him...not sure I'd admit to it if I did," she added in an arrogant tone, "Maybe he thought I was you. Do you remember meeting a guy named JaeWon?"

"Uuuh no," YonMi confused herself momentarily wondering if it was wise to tell HyoLee that he delivered their pizza, "I don't think so." She quickly realized that letting her sister know their delivery guy and Tony's brother were the same person would allow her sister to conclude that she and LeeJin had been at the party, fore she hadn't known her pizza delivery guy to be JaeWon before that night. "No!"

"Oo well, maybe he's just seen me before, at the mall or something," HyoLee suggested. "He does look like one of those dorks who works at the food court on the weekends."

"Close enough," YonMi whispered to herself, exhausted from thinking so much.

"So now," HyoLee started just as she fastened the studs on her diamond earrings. "About WooHyuk."

YonMi pushed herself off of the wall to give indication she was listening closely.

"Tomorrow, when he comes over, make sure you tell him about the date, in detail."

"Detail?" YonMi wasn't sure what HyoLee referred to, she had yet to hear all of the details of the date herself. Her biggest concern had been remaining undiscovered.

"You know," HyoLee thought up examples, "That I came home late, that I was excited, stuff like that."

"Oo, okay," YonMi agreed watching her sister lay out her clothing. Her stretch satin top and the matching suede skirt were of decent width and length, but still sensually appealing on HyoLee's well built frame.

YonMi turned around and walked back over to her room in search of her old Sunday school guide, surely there had to be a commandment against attracting the young men of the ministry.

Already Been Done Part 19

All the drama with TonyAhn finally aside, YonMi began her week, hopeful that things would soon go back to the way they were.

"Act III, Scene 1."

"'Hail, Caesar! read this schedule...That touches Caesar nearer: read it, great Caesar'"

"'What touches us ourself shall be last served.'"

"'Delay not-'"

"Come on, YonMi! Can't we take a quick break? My brain is gonna explode!"

"Your presentation is in four days, WooHyuk."

YonMi felt sorry she was subjecting WooHyuk to constant negligence during her own sorted dilemma. Her troubles had caused her to lose focus on her obligation to WooHyuk and as a result, she was forced to speed through these last few sessions they'd left to help him grasp the material. She had in fact raced through the entire second act.

"But we've been going at this nonstop for the last hour!" WooHyuk argued pleadingly facing up at her as she stood on the other side of the coffee table. "There isn't too much left, and I do have four whole days."

"But we're just now getting to the turning point, the exciting part-"

"But I'm hungry, I can't think right on an empty stomach," WooHyuk raised an entirely different concern. "Why don't we go get something to eat? My treat."

"No, that'd be a waste of time. We only have a half hour left, let's wait. There'll be plenty of time for that later."

"Well, then, let's order out, we can work while we wait," he thought. "Why don't you order us a pizza-"

"NO!" YonMi's panic was subconsciously voiced. "I mean...no-it might not arrive in time. Even if it does get here just before you leave, you'd have to take it with you, right?" she laughed nervously. "So, you might as well wait and get something on your way home."

"Well, can I at least have something to drink?" WooHyuk made a last attempt to force YonMi out of her compulsive state.

"Fine."

He succeeded, watching her put her book down and seeing her walk quickly into the kitchen. He, then, organized their books hoping to sip his beverage while making small talk with YonMi, a casual conversation rather than a continuous literary lecture.

"So, now, let's recap on all the warnings Caesar had been given before going to the senate and how," he heard her call out from afar.

"Who were the people who tried to warn Caesar?" she asked, walking back into the living room with a glass of tea in her hand.

"The soothsayer, then Calpurnia, the priests, and that Art-something."

"Artemidorus," YonMi corrected him before handing him his tea.

WooHyuk nodded carelessly, taking a small sip from his glass.

"Now even though, the fall of Caesar isn't the main idea of the story, it's important to understand why Caesar refuses to listen to any of the warnings that mighta saved his life," YonMi explained, shuffling behind the coffee table and seating herself next to WooHyuk. "Remember, the conspirators can't kill him if he doesn't show, which is why Decius convinced him to go when Calpurnia had already convinced him not to, " she went on, taking her book and flipping back to where she had left off.

He nodded again, inching himself closer to YonMi and observing her face. Her lips moving, he hadn't paid as much attention to what came out of her mouth as he did to the fair features aligned in motion as she spoke. He watched the detail in her long, dark lashes when she'd blink, without the secure signature specs to hide away that natural glimmer in her wide eyes.

YonMi kept vigil through the corner of her eye, as he moved in closer and closer. "So, let's go back to that passage where Decius explains Calpurnia's dream." She felt WooHyuk's presence dangerously near. "Uuuh, what do you think made Caesar so vulnerable to Decius' insistence as he tried to get Caesar to...to...," she swore she felt the warmth of his breath on her cheek, "to-WHAT is your problem?" She turned to finally give him the attention he sought.

"Nothing," he whispered, gazing whimsically into her eyes. Their innocence looked upon his with an honest confusion and wonder. "Just that...you look really nice...I mean your eyes are...pretty, without those glasses you used to wear."

"They're broken," she turned away, disillusioned again as WooHyuk's sudden display of affection conveniently came when she'd been forced to take on a tiny temporary change in her appearance. "My Mom is at the mall right now with HyoLee getting them fixed."

"Why?"

"What do you mean 'why'? I need them."

"But you had those same frames last year. Why not just get contacts?"

"No. What difference does it make?" she looked at him, daring him to state what she had already assumed he implied when he encouraged her to keep the change he'd been praising.

"It doesn't. It doesn't make a difference," he shook his head slowly, careful with his words as YonMi already seemed offended and insulted by his suggestion. "Just that...you've worn those glasses for a long time, and contacts work just as well. Why would you wanna hide behind your glasses?"

YonMi couldn't find the words to explain the comfort she found behind her olden frames, she didn't believe she would make him understand if she could find the words. She had, however, been convinced that WooHyuk's interest was a result of having been without her glasses, an attraction he might have felt toward her based on her appearance right then, an appearance she did share with her sister and his former girlfriend.

"I mean, I don't think you should."

She felt the back of WooHyuk's hand soft against her cheek. His fingers traced around her lobe as he tucked her long bangs behind her ear. She felt the cushion on the couch inflate and then sink back in as he moved his entire body closer to where she sat.

"I think most girls would love to have your eyes, YonMi," he cooed tenderly, wrapping his light fingers around her chin. "And I think most guys would love to look into them, too." He gently turned her head over to face him, and pulled himself closer, looking into her eyes, "Just like this."

She waited helplessly for it to happen. She'd dreamt of it many times before, but the more she anticipated it, the farther it seemed as always out of her reach. He crept slowly nearer, his lips remain still, but hers had begun to quiver nervously and she swallowed back the anxiety she felt in her chest.

He hadn't yet been able to feel the soft texture of her lips on his, as her fidget caused her book to slip from her fingers and she turned to see it fall to the floor, breaking his hold on her chin and the hypnotic gaze effective on her senses.

She leaned down to pick the book up as he adjusted his position, hoping for another opportunity.

"We're back!"

Just then, YonMi's mother walked into the house with HyoLee following closely behind, eager to walk in on WooHyuk's study session with her sister.

"So, how are we doing?" HyoLee strolled toward the coffee table.

"F-fine, fine," YonMi snapped.

"Yea, fine," WooHyuk spoke casually. "Not better than you, I'll bet," he looked up to see an assured grin on her face. "I heard you had a really hot date this past weekend," but his smile was just as confident.

"Did you?" HyoLee nodded, proudly confirming the details she knew her sister had mentioned earlier.

"I-I told WooHyuk about your date with...Tony," her voice trailed off.

"Really, YonMi, you shouldn't. It's none of his business what I do and who I do it with," her words were slow and her tone was kept, quietly attempting to entice WooHyuk along.

"Likewise," WooHyuk's response was of similar fashion.

YonMi saw the two stare each other down, as if they understood one another.

"Well, look at the time!" she jumped up. Worried that her sister might somehow read into WooHyuk's recollection of minutes ago, and eventually learn of what almost happened just before she arrived, she tried desperately to get him to leave. "We can't possibly get much done in...t-w-e-n-t-y minutes," she noted the time on her watch, and cursed the big hand for moving so slow. "Nope, not enough time!" she insisted. "Maybe we should pick this up tomorrow, huh?"

"Okay," WooHyuk acknowledged her discomfort, an uneasiness he took credit for as he picked up his books and walked to the door. "Same time?" he turned to smile back at her.

"Sure."

He winked teasingly at HyoLee who had followed him to the door. She crossed her arms, refusing to show any emotion in her reaction as she let him out.

She closed the door, then turned to give YonMi a wide smile of approval. "You HAVE to tell me how it all went!" she squealed with excitement.

But YonMi wasn't eager to have that discussion with her sister, confused about WooHyuk and still bitter about Tony...and vice versa.
