Seo Tai-ji is coming back on stage in Korea in January, rocking out with U.S. heavy metal band Korn. Last month, the star announced on his website that his seventh album would be released sometime in January. The concert, 'Live Wire', is to be something of a comeback special.

The Live Wire Concert is scheduled for January 29, 31 and February 1 at the Olympic Gymnasium. Seo Tai-ji and Korn are to perform together on January 29, with U.S. metal band Static-X opening. For the later dates, Seo Tai-ji will be on stage with Nell and Pia.

Korn’s debut in 1992 led the post-Grunge era of American rock. Korn now stands hand in hand with Limp Bizkit as the one of the most famous hard rock bands, with a grinding metallic guitar sound. Korn’s latest album, 'Take A Look In The Mirror', had earned strong reviews. For Seo Tai-ji and Korn, the concert will perhaps be the showcase for their new songs.

Seo Tai-ji met Korn at the studio when he went to the United States to remake his sixth album. Korn had already planned a concert in Korea for January, and the group accepted the offer when Seo Tai-ji proposed having a concert together.

Under vocalist Wayne Static, Static-X plays heavy metal rock mixed with techno and rap. The producer of Static-X, Ulrich Wild, participated on the remaking of Seo Tai-ji’s sixth album.
