“Milky Way” Theme Song for Japan Rugby World Cup

2003/07/19

Boa’s “Milky Way” was recently selected as the theme song of Japan Rugby World Cup 2003, an event celebrating the 40th anniversary of TV Tokyo. “Milky Way” will be played in preliminary and final games, which will be held throughout Tokyo until November 11. An official of Boa’s management company said this is the first time ever that a Korean song has been chosen as the official theme song of an important Japanese celebration event. The song was written by Korean composer Kim Yeon-jung, who goes by the alias Kenzie.

Flickycute, I suspect this will be in Japanese. A LOT of her stuff is translated. I like the song too. I'm just glad they recognize her, instead of a Japanese singer. Revo has been playing JPOP vids, lately, and (forgive me) but I really don't like any of them as much as KPOP.

Just my 24 won worth!

I agree, David. I suspect that she may have reached her peak. With all her fame, what does she do, when she turns, say 18?? Does she go into TV and/or movies? Or does she just take her money, buy a small South Pacific island, and retire at age 20? (Eugene has sort of done that with her family's cafe, in Guam...) Who knows!
