Baby VOX, who recently visited Pyongyang to take part in a South-North joint music festival, said upon their return that North Korea requested that the members change their outfits as they was deemed “too revealing” for the North Korean audience. The members said they complied with the request immediately by changing into their more “suitable” outfits.

Comments: Too bad those poor North Koreans don't know what they're missing!!

It isn't really wierd. N. Korea has been much more dominated by strict communism, than even China or the old Russia. N. Korea is VERY VERY VERY oppressive of their people. It is actually worse than most AFrican countries. You would not want to live there. BUT as the Korean Conflict started, many families split their children, and sent half the family to live in the north and half to live in the south. MANY of the kids have not seen their brothers/sisters in more than FIFTY YEARS! This is why the South is pushing to get together.

Sorry Arnell. N Korea won't let them wear sexy clothes. Remember N. K. exists on NON-individuality. They don't want anyone, in this culture to be better than anyone else. They keep eveyone poor, so they must focus on their work. It is not at all a nice place. From what I read, China is far more desirable than N. K... (and China isn't much to write home about...)

Yes indeed. Asia as a whole is like a group of states, (meaning that they are close together, and very near each other. Remember, our South Korea is the size of our Indianna. So basically everybody's media is available to everyone. And South Korea's media looks a lot like ours. Here in the states, "RadioPyonyang" can be heard on Shortwave, and it is simply AWFUL. Old line communism. (as a contrast, the Voice of Russia, and China's propaganda arm are all up to speed with the Western cultures.) Many people in North Korea can see South Korean media. (most N. Koreans know what TV is, but haven't seen it...)

That joke is too close to the truth to be very funny...

man, that IS an oppresive regime!

they dont get to see BOOBIE-VOX like we do!

but hey, its all in the name of peace, i guess.

seriously tho, i have heard stories of North Koreans smuggling themselves into China. its terrible what they must be going thru. to go from bad to not-as-much-but-still-bad.
this would make for an interesting new topic.

It would make a great topic, Angelo. I had dinner, on my trip to Seoul with an older guy. I was told that he was the "Senior" of the company that sponsored me.(I assumed some sort of investor-) What I did not realize is that he is the FATHER of the guy who brought me over! Toward the end of the trip, he took me to dinner, and told me the story of how his family, at the beginning of the Korean conflict, took half of the family, and moved them into North Korea. So regardless of which side would win, the family would survive. He has had no contact with his brother, since them. Recall, also, that the Korean conflict came almost immediately after the Japanese were thrown out, after WWII. This is part of why I have so very much respect, and admiration for the people of South Korea. They have come through all this, and yet have built a ROARING economy, yet they are totally quiet, and respectful.

It seems that North Korea is always more strict than South Korea
