Pop singer Kim Gun-mo is set to meet his legions of fans for the first time since the release of his eighth album "Hestory" with a series of concerts throughout the nation.

The "Hestory of Gunmo" tour will kick off Sept. 5-7 at the Olympic Park in Seoul and wind its way through Busan, Daegu, Daejeon and other cities before returning to Seoul for an encore performance.

Kim has sold over 10 million copies of his seven previous albums, setting a record in the local music industry. In particular, his third album "Wrongful Meeting" sold over 3.3 million copies, still the highest total ever.

Despite a recession in the music market and the easy availability of online file sharing, Kim's "Hestory" has sold over 487,000 copies to date, making it the most popular record of the year.

The "Hestory of Gunmo" tour will contain the story of the pop singer's past 10 years as expressed through music. Songs ranging his entire career will be featured, including his debut hit "Raining on a Sleepless Night" and his latest hit "Swallow."
