IT's EASY

just pick 5 levels/ types of any topic you want ...whats an important
factor in your
...clothes, sound, show, backgrounds, lighting, happiness ..or etc..!

then tell which are your most/least favorite
NAME THEM...This way we can refer to peoples posts more easily as the list grows.
--------------------------------------

Here goes mine. . . . NAME: "LIP SYNC vs. REAL"
In classifying music videos...I think that one important thing to me is singing style.

Type 1 My favorite
. It's pre-recorded singing..but you get some really great sound, you see some cool video action.and the singer is shown singing also. .looking real.
must be actually singing along, and you almost can' t tell
but they would aparently sound just as good if you could hear it !-So what if it's notperfect?...and also

Type 2 where the SINGING you hear is the real live stage performance
of that vocalist and get to see it happen

Type 3 Its premastered..and sounds great..does not show the singer at all...just a video of a story

Type 4 ..It's prerecorded singing and the singer/singers involved are giving a great show with nice choreography
even with fun lip sync.

Type 5 ..(my least favorite) It's prerecorded..and the
singer's video footage just concentrating on posing mostly and just it's so obvious no one could have those expressions, and produce the difficult vocal tecnique that we hear .

OK?

PERFORMANCE Vs. DRAMA

Type 1:
Theme performance, role play wardrobe in a particular setting with kick @ss choreography and frequent shots of the singer(s) in character (i.e. HOT- IYah!, Outside Castle)

Type 2:
Matching outfits and creative choreography with frequent up close shots of the singer(s) moving their lips along to the music. (i.e. HOT- Candy, HaengBok)

Type 3:
Freestyle appearances, with candid footage of the singer(s) kickin it in the streets and occassional shots of them moving their lips or bustin out some hip hop dance moves. (i.e. HOT- Wolf and Sheep, Free To Fly)

Type 4:
From the story to the stage to the story to the stage, features both performance and drama with the singer(s) painting a picture in their lyrics, aggressive stepping motions, then cutting back to the story, often times starring the singer(s) in both combined concepts (i.e. HOT- Warrior's Descendant, WRTF)

Type 5
Roleplay dramatic sequence sometimes with additional appearances by other co-starring extras or an animated documentary while the music is just playing. (i.e. HOT- Hope, Our Promise)

And I vote type 4 on yours mainly because I love videos where the singer(s) are shown dancing and singing, with the exception of ballads, it's nice to see the singer(s) but cutting to a back story would be nice.
