| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Brant struggled for a few seconds, until he removed himself from Nero's hold. "Me? Am I a bloody fool Its a rabbit! You must have eaten someone hyped up on some type of medicine if you're afraid of a bloody rabbit!" He spoke with anger, his voice close to a yell as he did so. |

Nero for the first time held a serious expression on his face as he confronted the boy about the incident which had just happened. The boy was trying to make a point, but apparently he didn't notice the way the Vampire had just saved his life. "You pathetic, naive child." Nero stated calmly as he turned and started to walk away from him. "If you want to pet the rabbit, pet it. It's obviously not going to hurt you... And there's most definitely not a Necromancer controlling it. So, yeah... End your short and pathetic life in this dungeon. I'm getting the hell away from that rabbit." And with that he once again started off down the corridor. |

Brant looked back at the small rabbit, its whiskers twitching as it stared after them. With a sigh he followed Nero back down the hallway, it appeared as though, Nero would be Brant's best hope to make it out of here alive, even though he thought Nero was wrong about the rabbit. He still didn't trust Nero any farther then he could through him, but even so, it appeared as though Nero wasn't going to tell Brant the truth unless he found a way to trick it out of him. |

The rest of the corridor, as it had been beforehand was completely barren and desolate, with no sign of life other than the rabbit which they had (hopefully) long left behind. So the vampire simply continued on, ignoring any trace of animals, and any noises which may had come from the boy. He knew after a while there would be the slave pens, where a number of humans were kept to give their blood for the Shadow Society. He wasn't sure how it would affect the boy mentally, but there would only be one way to find out. |

Brant followed Nero down the hallway that seemed almost endless for what seemed like forever, he was still contemplating in his mind how exactly he could find a way to trick the truth out of the vampire, all in all, he had come up with nothing, not a single good idea as of yet. But he kept walking, and following his potential only way out of this place alive. Brant sighed, inwardly. This was a long day, or, night. He couldn't quite tell which. |

After a further five or so minutes of walking, the two reached the end of the corridor which ended in a large bolted wooden door. In front of it stood two large skeleton guards; not nearly as big and ominous as Castepolis, but they sure did their job. They both held morning stars, and were looking directly at the two as they approached. It appeared they were good at doing their job... Or just weren't as mindless as the others who inhabited the dungeon. "Well, seems like it's gonna get even better," Nero said as he readied his sword. |

Brant drew back his bowstring and fired an arrow, aiming directly for the first skeletons eye socket. His arrow hit the mark perfectly, but...Nothing happened. The skeleton just kept coming closer and closer, Brant realized that, ultimately unless he could crush them with a bow and some arrows, this fight would be all Nero. but even so Brant kept thinking of ways the kill them. |

Nero was at a disadvantage... Two large skeletons, who Brant apparently couldn't hurt because the arrows wouldn't split the skull and destroy the controlling epicentre of the brain. Letting out a tut of annoyance, he dodged the first morning star and parried the second; it was surprisingly powerful from a skeleton of that size, but nothing compared to Castepolis. So he pushed the skeleton back and aimed a swipe at its shoulder... It connected well, and severed the arm completely. |

Brant fired another arrow into the first Skeletons other eye, now it couldn't see, which should have made everything much easier for Nero, immediately after the arrow left his bow Brant ran in between the skeletons, sliding in between the ones legs he grabbed at a lever and pulled, which opened the large door. Brant then ran through the door, yelling for Nero to follow. |

Nero sprinted after Brant through the doors, just about avoiding the encroaching Morning Stars of the two skeletons, who were albeit trying their hardest to get the two, were failing rather miserably; mainly due to the fact Nero and Brant were vastly more mentally superior to them, and were able to have courses and plans of action, whereas they were simply swinging at them. |

Brant aimed up at the large boulder hanging from the ceiling, it acted as a weight, holding open the door once one pulled the lever, Brant hadn't the slightest clue as to how the gear system worked, it was far to complicated for him, after all he was no engineer. He fired an arrows just as the two skeletons were preparing to walk through the door after them, effectively slamming the door down and shattering the skeletons into nothing more then shards of bone and metal. |

Nero watched with a sight sense of amusement as the boy defeated the two skeletons by shutting the door with them between them. His eyebrow cocked slightly, he turned and looked at Brant, before giving him a slight nod to show he was impressed at his quick thinking. But it was wiped from his face as he turned and saw two more guards approaching them... However these ones were zombies and looked as if they would be much easier to defeat. But this was a good thing, as it proved to Nero he was going to opposite way from 'him', and he knew this way harboured the best chance of survival. |

Brant hadn't seen the two guards approaching from the opposite side of the massive door he had just dropped on the two unsuspecting skeletons. Instead he was bent down over the two shattered remains of the skeletons examining them. He lacked the proper skills to find anything out about the two skeletons, other then the bones were significantly stronger then those of a normal human. "There had better be another way out of here..." |

The two zombies were substantially easier to defeat than those skeletons had been; Nero had only to evade one attack before he was granted a big enough opening to capitalise lethally on; first one he decapitated, quickly followed by impaling the second in the chest, before thrusting upwards and effectively splitting the undead's top half in two; the fact the skin was rotted and old helped quite a bit, as Nero was pretty certain he wouldn't have been able to pull it off with a human. “Heh. Too easy.” |

Brant turned in time to see the last zombie's half split carcass fall to the floor. The stench of the dead was unbearable, and Brant was beginning to miss the sounds of the forest, and the smell of grass and rain. With a sigh he approached Nero, "Is there another way out?" it had seemed like forever since he even looked at Nero, and so this question might have been a bit redundant, but still thus far Nero seemed to have known a lot about this place.
