Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Nero knew full well that the Zombies from outside the tomb wouldn't follow them down into this area because of it actually being the dominion of the Shadow Society, and home to zombies themselves; which actually served as servants for the SS. But with the human being down there, unless Nero specifically stated he was an ally, they would attack him. And these zombies were much more powerful than the previous one and also wielded weapons. Though they were still inferior.

Brant followed Nero down the large winding staircase, his quiver hanging on his back and his bow at his side, he didn't see any immediate danger, but still kept himself alert and aware of the surroundings, one of the things that stuck out in Brant's mind was that even down in this corridor, there were several lit torches on the wall "Thats odd, these torches are lit...But that would mean people down here, or...Someone to take the care to constantly light them, and keep them burning."

"Oh, yes." Nero replied, rather loudly considering they were in 'unknown' territory, and continued making his way through the corridor of what he had frequently called the "Maze of Death". The entrance for some reason was void of the mindless servants which seemed to be constantly replaced with all the dead that stood up above, so it appeared as if they would have to go in further to get into a fight. "I guess you're right... That should hopefully mean someone else is here, right?" Nero's voice was so loud that it was almost a shout. His sword, which dripped black blood (which meant he had killed a fairly fresh zombie) swung freely in his grip.

Nero's loud voice, almost a yell reverberated off the walls and echoed down the hall as he talked, Brant, not entirely sure what to think of this very strange man, just assumed it was his...Very, prick-like attitude that made him shout, there was also the thought that Nero just might be addicted to fighting, and merely wanted more of them to attack the two of them. "You do know, that we are only a few paces away from each other, and that yelling is not needed, correct?" Brant asked Nero with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh, am I shouting?" Nero replied, an obvious fake look of puzzlement plastered upon his face, even though it might have been missed as Brant was behind him. "I don't think I'm shouting... THIS WOULD BE SHOUTING!" The last part was a very loud yell, which seemed to echo continuously for a matter of minutes. Now with a smile on his face, Nero continued down until they finally came to the first room. The room was where a few undead could occasionally be found lurking, and had a few old, rusted weapons inside of it.

Nero casually opened to door to two undead who stood with their backs to the two. They had on light chainmail and were doing something which appeared to be playing checkers... These seemed to be intelligent indeed.

Brant watched as the door opened, and saw two undead playing a game on a board, the game almost looked like...Checkers? Brant had never known any undead creature, except of course for vampire to be able to play a game like checkers, checkers required thought and a very small level of strategy, not nearly as much as a game of chess, but even still. With a motion as quick as he could Brant pulled an arrow from his quiver and fired it directly into the back of the first undeads head, and watched as it dropped, the other one, taken by surprise fell quickly afterward. "Their down here two?" Brant asked with a look of both puzzlement and worry.

Nero grinned as the boy easily dispatched the two zombies who had been playing the game of checkers before them. The one who had been killed second had given a glance to Nero before dying, as if he had recognised him and decided not to do anything against him. But the evil vampire shrugged it off as being stupid and simply closed the door after they had been killed. "It would appear so." Nero replied, still loudly as ever. However, a slight clanking noise was starting to come from the other end of the corridor... Roughly three armed guards were on their way to see what had happened.

Brant thought he noticed something in the second zombies eyes, a flicker, a glance towards Nero that Brant would have missed had he not been focused on the things head when he fired, of course maybe it was just looking at its next target, even so, Brant didn't give it a second thought due to a sound coming from down the corridor, were a small group of three were coming to see what had happened, probably because they heard Nero's loud voice. Brant drew back another arrow and fired it at the one, not sure if it had hit before firing at the other two as well.

Nero watched as Brant fired an arrow and it hit one of the encroaching zombies in the chest, but didn't fall it. It did slow it down, but almost instantly, Nero had followed up the arrow and decapitated the other two within in moments, as if to not let them see him. The other one, who was now oddly behind Nero, paying him no attention, simply continued bumbling towards Brant with its slow pace, and longsword outstretched ready to attack.

Brant fired the arrow at the single undead that kept walking forward towards Brant, paying Nero absolutely no attention, of which Brant thought was odd, but had little time to think about it much longer because immediately after he killed the one with the longsword, another started walking towards him, this time from behind him, he only knew of its presence due to its loud chinking sound as it walked. He turned and fired an arrow, hitting it in the neck, which dropped it to the ground. Apparently he had severed the spinal column. Brant looked around, after hearing nothing he decided all the undead had been taken care of in the immediate vicinity.

Silence sprang through the area as the two finally dispatched the group of zombies who had been attacking them. "Well, that was fun!" Nero exclaimed, loudly as ever; however this time it was more natural than before and his actual delight came out in his statement. It was true, he was having fun with the boy, and he wanted to continue the fun... He just hoped that the actual zombies who could speak down here didn't blow his presence. He only knew a couple that were capable of speech, and they were usually sent to keep watch over large portions of the area.

Brant looked around the room for a while until he found a few extra arrows that weren't rusted to the point of being un-usable, and placed them in his quiver. It appeared to Brant as though there was something Nero wasn't telling him, maybe Nero, being a vampire, and thus considered dead, was not a target at all to the zombies. Even if this was true, Brant wouldn't tell Nero this, thus far Brant got the impression that if Nero had the chance, he'd leave Brant to be a meal. "Where to now?"

Nero was slightly disappointed at the fact that Brant found some arrows which he could use and Nero himself couldn't find anything at all in the room which he could use. Sighing slightly, Nero left and continued up the hallway to where the zombies had come from. It forked off into two ways; the way to the left was barely lit and seemed more ominous, but the way to the right, where the zombies had come from was brightly lit but held more flickering shadows...

"Your choice of paths, Brant." Nero crooned as he motioned for Brant to choose.

Brant, half pondering which way to take decided that the darker path was best. Of course he only decided this after plucking a torch from the wall and offering it to Nero "I need both hands to fire my bow, you only need one to swing that sword. Plus, you're leading, so it would be best for you to carry this." He said as he pointed down the darker tunnel.

Nero took the torch with a small smile and lead the way down the darker tunnel. Nero was slightly happy that he went this way as an old acquaintance of Nero's was located down the tunnel... One of the zombies who was intelligent. Calastepolis, the giant skeleton resided down this way and had held a pretty harsh grudge against Nero since losing to him at a game of poker some time back... Nero lead a way up to the door of his room, which was the first on the right and simply stood on the outside, waiting for Brant to say something.
