| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

As she listened to Chris, she found she was actually at a loss for words. She glanced a way a bit before looking back. "Chris .... I .... well I don't know what to say, but I do know you are you and you are nice and sweet and brave and well you are good person all around, so don't worry about the past, cheer up and lets get these riddles done. I bet we can get this thing solved. Or at least one more, because I don't have a clue about the first one. I don't know if this helps, but I know fire can both harm and heal what do you think?" She wasn't quite sure she said the right thing, but hopefully it was alright. The tingle went over them again and she had her wings back. |

Chris closed his eyes as he listened to her words, he did not say anything....he tried to think and now was not really the time to lose focus. It was then that some things came to his mind and he opened the eyes again to look at the fairy. "It is just what I said to my master when he asked me to tell him what fire was....it can both kill and give life. The answer is fire, and I'm suppose to be a burning fist and did not even get that...just perfect" he swallowed a little, once again it had been Tulip that came with the answer and not him. But now they needed to get the last one right to, he thought about it and tried to think in the ways his master would. "Someone whos brother is made from stones? I can just think of something like...magma...since that is kind of stone...I mean like...but how would that tell anything about painted face?" he growled lowly and shook his head, he was in the wrong area. "No I don't know it...." |

The answer fire appeared under the third question and a timer appeared as well. Informing them they had 1 minute to answer the final question. Tulip looked a little surprised and complained. "Hey it's changing the rules, it never said anything about a time limit and I still don't have a clue as to the last one." She stopped her foot in anger trying to figure out the last riddle, but she also noticed her wings were fully back, but she couldn't be happy about that right now. 'What is the answer?' |

Chris looked at the timer...just one minutes? He closed his eyes and tried to think, he opened them again and looked at Tulip,....he examined her and his eyes stopped to the wings as they moved. They looked like butterfly wings, pretty. But now was....he stood up and walked over to look at the faries wings. "Could it be....butterflies have sometimes painted faces on there wings? Is it the same for faries? Oh so hard..." she growled, he felt like he was in the right direction....but something was missing...what did faries or butterflies have to do with rocks? "I will just guess on butterfly then...you hear that...butterfly. Yeah say it is wrong...I know it is..." he sighed...it was the only thing he could guess right now. |

There was a small red X under the first riddle and the doors swung open. The sound of the doors opening oddly formed words. "When Crossing the water be careful what you think for what you think is what you are. If you go on take the right path and you shall find then entrance you seek." Tulip looked at Chris and waited for him to go on on as the path ahead was not as clearly lit and looked a bit creepy to her. It looked even worse when she found the right path they were supposed to take was almost completely dark. She would try and kind of stay close to Chris so she is right up against him if they take the right path. Water could be heard flowing across both paths in the distance. |

Chris sighed, of course it had been wrong. He listened to the words...but they did not make much sense to him at all. What was the deal with that anyway? The little weretiger scratched himself on the side of the cheek and then he took a deep breath of air and walked in thought the door. He stopped when they came to the place where the way split up yet again, the sound had talked about them taking the right path, but then again the right path could also mean right as in the right one....or as in the right one against the left one. "I guess we will just have to try a way, I guess it will be the right one..." he slowly started to walk down the path going to the right, not sure what might happen. He thought about what the voice said about the water...what you think is what you are? That was weird...but it was best to think on something good...but what? He swallowed a little and tried to get himself to think about...himself...yeah he started to think of the one he was...maybe thinking about himself would help to remain himself? It was a gamble again,...but it could work. |

The two walked on and Tulip was now clutching his arm as she didn't like this place, everything was feeling ... unnatural. When the came to sound of water it was hard to see, but it looked like a small creek not that many feet across, but too many to jump and she wasn't going to fly in this place. The water seemed harmless enough and when they tried wading across it didn't take long. Chris thinking about himself felt a little odd after getting out since he was thinking about himself. As a result he found he was about his original size, but the cave seemed a smaller now of course, but still not too small. Tulip wasn't quite at good at this and tried thinking safe thoughts, but holding on to Chris she couldn't help, but worry about him and that cause her to think of him too. As a result when she got out she was not quite as tall as Chris, but was still a lot taller than she had been she even found she had a brown cat tail now which was odd. A few minutes latter they got to a door, what was on the other side neither knew. |

It did seem like they had walked past perfectly, he sighed a little at this and was just about to comment something when he felt something brush against his tail. Slowly he looked in that direction and found yet another tail...but it was not his own? It was Tulips? she had a tail?! "Uhm...did you by any chance think about me?" he asked slowly and looked at the fairy. That was a weird turn of things alright, but he was ot going to judge her for it...he did not see anything wrong with a nice tail. The pair soon arrived to another door, perfect a new door again. But it did not seem like there was any signs here. Chris swallowed a little and made himself mentaly ready, then he placed one hand on the door and opened it to peek inside. He made sure that Tulip was out of the way in case something weird was going to happen. |

"Uhm...did you by any chance think about me?" Partially glad it was dark and hiding her blushing yet again she just answered. "Um well maybe, I wasn't meaning ... I mean well um.... you don't think it makes me look wierd do you?" She waited not quite sure why she suddenly felt that his answer would be important to her. She fidgeted a little trying to get used to the tail, but finding it wasn't really under her control. When Chris peeked inside he would see a large well lit cave and a small red stone sitting in a pile of treasure. He could almost feel the pull of the stone to him. It was as if it was destined to be his. What he couldn't see was if there was a dragon there or not. |

"Um well maybe, I wasn't meaning ... I mean well um.... you don't think it makes me look wierd do you?" Chris shook his head at his question. "No it does not look weird at all, I think you look great with a tail. They can also be really useful since they help you hold the blance at dangerous times" he commented and really did sound like he leaned it. He smiled at the fairy and then he returned the focus to the chamber at the other side of the room. He examined the treasures around the chamber and his eyes stopped at the red stone, he examined it curiously and then he casually walked out into the chamber. Sooo was this the dragons treasure? It looked like something a really old dragon could like. "Excuse me mister dragon.....are you here?" he asked out into the chamber as he continued forward towards the pile with gold. But he stopped before he came over to it and examined the area with his eyes. He was very nervous since he had never seen a real dragon before...even less the father of the man he kind of had started to see as his own father. |

"No it does not look weird at all, I think you look great with a tail. They can also be really useful since they help you hold the balance at dangerous times" Tulip looked extremely happy and she felt happy at the response. Maybe this wasn't a bad form. It felt kind of neat too. She saw him enter into the next room Tulip followed after him a little nervous and excited this was a dragon after all. "Excuse me mister dragon.....are you here?" A voice that seemed impossibly huge said "Ah the guest has arrived and sooner than expected. Oh he had a little guide too, well not so little any more. Your apprentice is polite too. Good apprentice you got there." A huge dragon with golden scales showed up around a corner. He was so big he seemed to take up a good portion of the room. "Call me Ka if you need to and come take your prize you more than earned it, plus I have a nice lunch of roast lambs for lunch and even a bit of honey wine. Feel free to ask any questions." Tulip was a little awed, at the dragon, but was eager to have a bit of that honey wine, which isn't actually alcoholic at all. She loved honey. 'Wow Chris is amazing getting to do stuff like this.' Kaess followed soon after smiling broadly. "I told you he would make it dad. Ah you did well getting up here and earning that stone. Only way dragons can give things away is trade or to have some one eran it and you had to earn the stone any ways to make it truly yours. Plus you showed good judgment and that is important too. Cute friend you have their what is her name?" She looked at Kaess at little confused, then remembered there were half dragons out their. "Um Tulip sir." "Good name, but afraid I probably won't remember it, so appologies in advance." Around the corner both Kaess and his father Ka came from there was a large feast laid out obviously mostly for Ka, but there seemed to be more then enough for the others present too. |

Chris looked to the dragon when he arrived and started to talk, he yawned a little and sighed before he slowly started to walk towards the red stone. He did not seem at all afraid of the large dragon at that, but of course he was a little nervous. He came over to the stone and picked it up, then his eyes slowly turned towards the sound of another voice and he noticed that Kaess was there to. "Of course I made it and a part of me really wants to punch you right now for making me go thought all that, I had no idea I had to do some tests. But I made a new friend, so I am glad for that" he sighed a little and then he smiled and walked over to look up at Kaess. "But no one is perfect and I like you anyway master" with that he gave the half dragon a hug and then he took a few steps away and looked to the dragon. He examined him carefully for a few seconds. "I will not play more games with you if your going to cheat like you did with the riddles" he commented and placed one hand to his own hip, "oh and are you sure that no of that food will make me small again? I am not sure I like being small..." he rubbed the back of his head and glanced around at the others. |

The dragon laughed, "You are an interesting one and no this food doesn't shrink or do anything to you. I can do such things, but I doubt you feel the need for any changes. Surprisingly I sense your friend doesn't need to change either. An odd choice for a fairy, but shows far more ... hmm don't quite have a word for it that isn't horribly long. Oh well she is interesting too and she even gave you a kiss I can see the magic still lingering around you. Ah fairy magic so intriguing at times ah what am I doing. I must bore my guests. Now come eat." Kaess chuckled as well a bit, "Well glad you still like me, but you will learn another lesson expect the unexpected. Life tests us all at the strangest times. Just be glad this test was a friendly one." Kaess soon joined his father who was popping sheep like popcorn and grabbed a bit of food. 'The boy is brave, but I wonder how he would feel about dad if he saw him in battle. Ah well it isn't going to happen' They were all seated when he decided to speak up again. "Anyways on with the celebration of my apprentice passing the first stage of the burning fist. I will say this now when you have the ashen touch you will be ready for the next stage of training, just remember that." Kaess then took a big bite of lamb. Tulip was still a bit nervous, but Chris was fairly confident. It did seem a bit odd about how the dragon new she was considering not changing back. He almost seemed to be encouraging it too. She also blushed since he knew about the kiss. 'It was just a reward why is he going on about it' She made sure to sit next to Chris and quickly got a bit of honey wine which was absolutely delicious. When Kaess said his congratulations she cheered him too. "Congratulations Chris it sounds like you did a good job." She smiled cheerily and was starting to enjoy the party. |

Chris did not really understand what the dragon talked about, he just shrugged his shoulders and slowly started to walk towards the table. He was hungry and needed to eat something, it was nice with some food. The young weretiger yawned a little and all this did not seem to have really effected him more then anything else, to be honest he had gone thought worse things then this. His green eyes looked to Kaess when he talked, he listened to the words. "You will learn a lesson to that is very important, always show your friends they can trust you...or you will lose them" he replied back as he examined the food on the table. "and better not tell mom you put me though that kind of tests, or she will gut you like a fish" he grinned a little and peeked out his tongue towards Kaess. Then he sighed and took a piece of a random meat from the table. He paused a little and looked to the teacher again. "I am not surprised at all" he commented and seemed happy about it. "I can't wait to get on with training, it is fun" he took a large bite of the meat and started to eat from it. His eyes looked to Tulip and he smiled a little at her. |

Kaess raised a scaled eye brow. "You make a good point, but who else could I use to test this test and heaven forbid I ever cross your mom in a bad mood. She is scary. You know come to think of it the spring festival is coming up soon. I am planning to head over there soon. Are you planing on going or even inviting some one to go with you?" Kaess tore into another piece of lamb enjoying the taste. Ka simply watched for now continuing to eat finding that watching the youngsters, who included Kaess, talked about things. Tulip looked as Kaess spoke and her curiosity was spiked., "What is this spring festival, I have never heard of it, but then I suppose I haven't heard of a lot of things." |
