| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

"My own purposes? If I had a force to teleport why would I need to gather a group of strangers? The device could no doubt be used to aid Imythess' defenses, but it is indeed to dangerous to keep. Eventually it will find it's way into devious hands. It will be destroyed, but not immediately. If it's destruction is approached inappropriately we could die all horrible death or be transported to some otherworldly plane or dimension with little hope of coming back alive. I'm not fond of the idea of my head getting transported inside a rock so let's put aside ideas of destroying the artifact prematurely," Rith Explained. The artifact of course not the largest of Rith's concerns. It's destruction was of little loss to him. If needed he could always recreate later, though by the time he could make use of it, it would no longer be needed. Perhaps recreating it on a smaller scale might be a wise idea. "Since it seems that everyone is ready well get started, assuming I interpret Aiden's silence correctly. Stay behind me and keep close. Order doesn't matter much beyond that. While this is dangerous territory, it should still be safe to converse so long as we keep our voices low enough. Our route should keep us clear of anything that would bother to attack us," Rith said before unfurling his scroll. Cryptic sigils were in abundance on the parchment though it was clear to all looking upon it that it was a map of some sort. When Rith was done speaking the black feathered steed turned around and began to walk into the treacherous woods. "Wedding Bells?" Rith said suddenly. "Forgive me, I'm one that lives in the future, not the present. In any case, Fara're, I'll most certainly have to fetch you an exquisite wedding gift when this is over. The least I could do for spending time away from the fiance to assist me," Rith explained. It was common for such outbursts to come from the fortuneteller. It was a quirk the amused Rith. Herbert was rather neutral with the other two members but the elf was probably not going to make it out of this trip in one piece. He had let him live one time, but the elf had pushed his limit when he had made a comment about Herbert's various roles. That was just something that no one was allowed to do, especially a meek fire mage who happened to be going on an incredibly dangerous mission with the archmage. "Well, lets get on with this. Some of us have other things that we need to be doing, "Derethal said right before the merchant ushered the bird along. The archmages words were most likely drowned out by the babble about someone's wedding. Derethal never cared much for weddings seeing as they were all too predictable. The couple would start out great and then something or someone would mess up that equation and the relationship would be on the rocks. For an actor, it was easy as they had probably been in a relationship like that at least once in their lives. The nymph liked really challenging parts and that simply did not fall into the category. (Horrible! WEEEE!) |

Fara're silently moved to follow behind Rith. She nodded to Kaess to do like wise. She was glad her guild member was here, but she still did not like the idea of not knowing everything. She was going to watch this strange man closely. The weretiger missed a step when he said something about wedding bells. What in the world was he talking about? She quickly hid her shock and confusion. She was not engaged, and in fact she never really saw herself as the marrying type. "I prefer living in the present," she said back. "And I can assure you I am not engaged, and most likely never will be. So I have no fiance you are 'keeping me from.' Now let us be done with this idle chit chat a get on with this quest of yours." |
