Graythorn had been traviling for a while, running about the dark forest and getting lost. The sky was getting dark and clouds where begining to drop forth rain from their internal bellys. A mystic wind blew through the forest as leaves shifted from their perch on the brabches, and grass blew in directions controlled by the wind. Graythorn keep a steady pace with his cloak pulled across his chin to protect from the chill now setting in, and his bow strung across his back. The trees grew darker with every passing moment and the sky soon became blocked off with the immense over growth of bush. Graythorn loved this form of nature, and even though he was lost, it still pleased him to be surronded with great growth. The on going journy soon brought him deeper into a dark wood, lined with thick bush and many insects. Anmals coul dbe heard rustling in the forest but he di dnot stop, he keep pace and hoped a village or even a small camp was near. The sun was going down and the rain now pelted his back. He did not want to set camp in the middle of the wood with no shelther or protection, but sometimes he had to do what he didnt like. Hopefully nothing else would hinder his travel tonight. |

Doguso laid against a tree, the whistling of the wind was soothing but the scent of death was sweeter. Doguso had his eyes closed, taking in all the sounds and smells around him, picturing a majestic undead beast. Imagining slaughters all around. A smile crept up onto his face. His ears perked at the sound of footsteps to his right. It sounded like someone taking their time yet in a hurry. Could they just not sit and enjoy the rain? Doguso chuckled as water fell onto his dark blue face off the leaves above. Doguso opened his eyes slowly, water flickering off, but most of the retained water on his eyelids simply fell down his face. Shaking his head a little, he flung the water in his hair out, but it remained wet as before. Doguso grabbed his knife from the ground on his left and crept towards where he heard the sounds of someone walking. His new undead wolf that he had killed got up, it's boney tail wagging, but a few hairs still remained on it's tip. It, as well, got up, stretching it's joints out and giving a fake yawn, as what do undead have to be tired about. Following Doguso, the two saw a wood elf and that only made Doguso laugh. To him, wood elves were as funny and pathetic as star elves. Walking behind the wood elf, he patted the man on the back, unless he was spotted which wouldn't be too hard of course, Doguso is no rogue. "Hi there, it seems your lost. Need my help?" |

The dirt from the ground kicked up as graythorns feet trodd its path, leavinf small path inprints on the ground. He had slowed down just a bit, the rain makeing it hard to see but a few feet in front of him. To his knowledge he was alone for now, but not to be stupid he knew that in a wood like this something could always be watching him. A uneasy feeling grew about his presence as he keep walking, slowing down even more now. His left arm tensed a sit reached back and grabed a arrow from its holding place. The grip around the shaft was tight as he pulled it out and held it like a dagger. Suddenly something from behind him touched his back. like a small tapping from another life form. With out turning his whole body graythorn turned just silghtly to see another being behind him. It appeared to be a dark elf, with some sort of creature pet next to him. The man had asked if he was lost and if he needed help. Graythorn smiled not knowing whether this elf was friendly or a threat. Evening my good sir. Indeed i am lost but nothing a wood elf like myself cant handle. Now completly turning his body around, the arrow down at his side now.I was wandering however, is there maybe a town, or small village nearby? i am in need of rest and i would hate to break camp here. Not getting to let down, his gaurd still up but being a bit friendly also. |

"So being a wood elf means you automatically can handle anything hm?" Doguso chuckled, his arm resumed it's post by his side, but his hand still near his dagger if needed. Stepping two steps back calmly, Doguso gave a slight smile. "A town or village you say? Well..." Doguso scratched his chin as he looked up, as if thinking, but really he was just staring into space, "There might be one, there might not be one. How should I know, I'm just a drow. There might be one over towards our easy, maybe there's one to our north. Who knows, who knows." Doguso said, his tone careless and slowly growing quiet. Turning around, he laid one hand on his undead wolf. "Ah, why would you rest in a marsh such as this? It's full of death and things you goody wood elves don't like. Sides, there's a very important but deadly man, Vernon, that resides here. I suggest you don't stick around here too long, you might see him if you're lucky. If you're not..." Doguso paused again, again resuming his space staring, thinking look, "You might not like the alternative. Plus, there's other dangerous men in here sides Vernon. Such as... me for example. I still don't get why you're even in this marsh, it's just no place for one of will of the living." Turning around, spinning on his heel quickly, Doguso grinned. "I don't want you getting hurt after all... at least too bad." Doguso's wolf started growling a bit, and Doguso laid a hand back on it's boney mane, calming it down. His grin slowly grew and became more reflective of his vile nature. |

Graythorn felt the conversation go bad quick. the constant wood elf remarks about him showed that he was unwelcome in this part of the wood, and most likely this man that stood in front of him was not going to help. Well, im just doing a little traviling, trying to get to a nice place to stay the night, but it seemes you will be no help, so i will be on my way now. Now the arrow in his hand had a tight grip around it and a striking postion was ready, his eyes ventured to the undead creature, a dog or wolf like thing. This man had evil intentions, and graythorn knew it woul dnot be wise to do anything stupid. It was pleasent to meet you good sir, but i will be takeing my leave now. He turned on his heel, to make for better accurcy and stabilty if needed. He began to walk away, but the arrow in his hand moved up a bit, ready for a counter strike if this man decided to do anything not in his favor. The dog growling did not make things better, but garythorn found it wise to leave this place quickly. |

Elves... On his doorstep. One even carried with it a sweet little treat. Pity they were along the border of the marsh but that was close enough to warrant their deaths. He might let one get away. but they both looked so delicious. He pondered luring them in deeper, preventing hope of their escape. He let the Marsh come to the ultimate decision, and it was not pleased with their disturbance. Vernon wasn't in the mood to deal with the pair directly yet so he decided to let the plants do the dirty work for now. He drew upon the magic of the marsh and gave it the power to protect itself. Vines crept on the pair as they spoke slowly but seemingly unnoticed. Vernon was close enough to see them and hear their conversation. He found it curious the one that had been comfortably lounging knew who he was. Perhaps the treat was indeed for him after all. He merely detain that one for questioning, the other one could be the dinner they chatted over. Vernon urged his plants into action when the wood elf began to leave. Vines snapped out for the elf attempting to tangle him up and bar his escape. IF that didn't catch the wood elf , Vernon could always send something else. "I'm still confused as to why you are in the Master's Marsh when you know of him," a large tree said as it attempted to grasp Doguso with claw-like branches, creaking all the way. It was in fact the tree that Doguso had been formerly laying against. |

The sounds of the plant's rustling made Doguso's ears perk. His body stood still, his eyes scanning the area over. Doguso grinned, "Well wood elf, I don't know if you'll be leaving so soon... something is about to happen but what exactly I'm not sure." Doguso took one step out before seeing vines snap after the wood elf. It took him by surprised to see the plant's themselves come to life. He knew Vernon was a man of power, but he wasn't sure what he was capable of. All he knew was what little he heard from Shadow Society. Doguso shook his head, not realizing the tree behind him was reaching for him. At the last moment, he heard the creaking of the tree and jumped away, spinning in the air to see what was attacking him. Unable to escape fully, the tree grabbed the side of Doguso's shirt. With a whistle, his undead wolf jumped up and tackled the tree's limb, knocking Doguso out of it's reach. "Ah, so Vernon is around I'm guessing. I'm here to supply a... friendly warning and I only wish to speak for him for a moment. I figured I'd run into him eventually, but this wood elf stole my attention." Doguso laughed. |

The wind blew by swiftly and strong as it brushed through Belrocks thick mane of fur. The brownish black fur on his body sayed in the wind as the light rain drops from the sky pelted his back. The cloak he had over his head keep him dry and warm, not that his fur wasnt. he just liked to keep his outer coat from getting soggy then he would begin to stink up the place, and that would not be good. With his axe on his back Belrock ventured on into a deep dark wood, looking for something out of the going, a way to entertain himself. He had been trecking in a long forest for days now and his body ached for war. the wind caught his nose with a very enjoying smell. The scent of elf, and battle. A great fight was about to comence among two elvs, the intesity could even be felt out in this wood, but something else was among the two, something stronger and greater. The starnge thing was this made him happy and he longed for that action. Thus he took off in the direction. upone comeing closer to the scene the woods seemed to be moveing, and alive. Belrock could not believe the site before him and even thought it was fake. But sure enough there was a fight, and the woods were winning it. this can not be going on will im around Belrock held out his hand and touched the closest tree, it instatly caught fire and began to spread. Touching three more trees as he began to burst into the area at full speed. The forest would catch fire completly and engulf the area with a thick flame in under five minuets. But this was what he loved. Takein gout his axe he rampaged into the area. Spotting the two elves he hacked away at trees that were indeed moveing and attacking the two elves. Let me axe you all a qustion! yelled belrock as he burst in and took out the tree that reached for a dark elf. why is this here forest attacking two little elves. He tried to be funny, but nothing was funny about the quickly growing fire and the death axe choping down the tiny forest now. it was a matter of time before it fell to Belrock. |

The marsh sky was dark and foreboding, with the wind blowing through the trees, making a faint howling noise as Ulfr sat beneath the cover of a behemoth of a tree, sniffing the air. It was raining lightly yet firmly and strongly, and the rain smelled faintly of rose petals. "Rain always smells the same," thought Ulfr, listening to sound of raindrops splattering on the leaves overhead, an embrace that lasts only a blink of an eye, yet beautiful all the same. Then the scent of something not so beautiful blew past the nose on Ulfr's snout, and it severly pissed him off. It was the scent of a dead wolf, one he seemed to recognize but could not place. "A wolf is a wolf, and all wolves are a brother of mine," he thought, with plans of retribution buzzing in his mind. He raised up from sittng, standing on all fours now at a height of 4 1/2 ft to the shoulder, his gray fur shifting in the wind. He was capable of standing his full height on his hind legs, but he needed speed at the moment. Hackles raised, he sped off in the direction of the dead wolf's scent. As he got closer to the scent he began to notice other scents as well, those of four beings. Two of the four were elves, one of which possesed a darker scent than the other. The third being's scent was that of a large, brute beast. However, the fourth's... disturbed him greatly, almost to the core, for this creature smelled as if it had been born of disease and shadows of great and terrible evil. He stopped in his tracks and thought to himself "I don't want to be discovered by the diseased shadow, but how do I avoid..." he had glanced down at the ground, which had become muddy, and exclaimed with a bark of glee as he began to roll in the mud, covering himself with mud so as to cover his scent with that of the marsh floor. When this task was complete, he continued his quest for retribution. Coming even closer to the scents, he noticed the smoke in the air and heat radiating forth from a spot up ahead that seemed as if the woods were dancing in a red glow, that seemed to dance as well. A closer look revealed to him that the woods werent dancing but they were on fire, and attacking a night elf, a wood elf, a minotaur, and a... skeletal wolf? Ulfr would have to ponder this later as vines were about to entangle the skeletal wolf; he leaped forward and grasped the the treacherous plants in his mouth, stepped on them with his front right paw, puled back with his head and ripped the vines back, causing them to shrink back to where they came from in pain. Ulfr then howled so that this forest fighting force of four would turn to look at him. Not checking to see if they had turned to look at Ulfr, he himself turned a ran toward the edge of this oven, turned back to face the four and gave a look to any that were looking at him that said "Follow me," then he sped off in a direction away from the fire, the violent plants, and last but most definitly not least away from the scent of the diseased shadow. |

Everything happened so fast. he began to step away from the dark elf when something disturbed him. a sense of evil filled his mind and the woods acted like a evil wind blew through. being a wood elf he was in tune with nature, and right now something was not right. he glanced over his shoulder to see someting odd, the ground apperad as if it was moeving. then like lighting a vine wihp lashed out at graythorn. He sumerdaulted in the air and threw the arrow in his hand right at the vine, sticking it to the ground. upone glanching he noticed the tree behind the other elf reach out for him. look out, the tree! yelled graythorn hopeing to help the elf. But other events began to unravel. A great tumpimg noise was heard running into the woods, followed by the stence of flame. Graythorn took out his bow and began to run, but as he passed by the elf an dhis undead wolf he saw something like a bull man run into the woods, choping at all the bush with a great axe. Follwed by him was a licking fire, that blazed just enough to end the forest rampage. as the great beast hacked at the forest a howl was heard, then a wolf like creature also apeareed in the distnace, just on the edge of the fire. He gave a sort of lets get out of here look as the undead wolf seemed to respond. Graythorn looked back at the dark elf and motioned fo rhim to follow. Come on, we are both in danger, lets go togther. He then turned to the minotaur like beast and said hte sam ething. launching three arrows into the dense forest just to stall he ran after the wolfman, hopefully the other two where behind him. |
