Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Gul-Arg charged into the marsh with reckless abandon, pulling down a few spruces in his mad rush while spraying the dirty water every where. He was chasing a long alligator that kept on escaping his grip every time he tried to pounce on it. One of his hands was hanging onto the arm by only the slightest big of undead flesh and skin. This had happened during the giant's first wrestling match with the massive alligator when Gul had not realized that the thing's mouth was it's main weapon.

"Won't make that mistake twice," Gul said joyfully as he pushed the murky water with his other good hand. If the alligator had thought it the right time to attack then, it could have easily replicated the damage done to the other hand. However, Gul-Arg was getting more and more angry as the seconds slipped by as he began to suspect that the alligator had swam off.

"Stupid aligator no match for me," Gul said finishing with a primal scream as he pounded his good fist into a large tree, cracking through the outer layer of bark and wood.

"I want food!!"

Great. She had to just JUST accept to do this on her own? She could've sent someone else just as easily to hunt down the runaway that knew too much. She couldn't just abandon him in the marsh either, not without making sure he was gotten rid of. If he was working for Vernon. That was the only problem. If not he would surely be dealt with by the Master of the Marsh quite easily. He was a lesser semi-intelligent Undead in the guild and she would gladly take him out. Just now she regretted that.

Evals stepped through the Marsh with her Black Knight walking behind her to her right flank. There was a very bad path in the marsh and she would follow it as best as she could. One eye focused through Amas and scanning the mucky forest. She gave up on this after a while and just switched to looking around with her own eyes. Seeking Negative energy out of the living muck. She could see small glows from under the swampy water and in the trees of living creatures.

She wished she animated that troll that was back in the forest. It was just lying there dead. It would have come in useful if Vernon showed up by anychance. She just hoped he didn't. She remembered when her, Seth and Nikki had come here. They almost lost Seth. Then the Undead halted and squinted her eyes. There was a very large spot of Negative energy in one spot and she turned her Wraith Sight off. The Undead she was looking for wasn't this large, when she looked it was quite a large being indeed. Over ten feet tall. She only waited to see what it was doing here and if it noticed her or the Knight.

Gul-Arg looked left than right and back again in hopes to spot some movement beneath the waters which would lead him to the alligator. Sadly, he had created quite an uproar with his vicious movements and the water was still choppy even after Gul's temporary rest. Fully fed up with everything going on at the moment, Gul looked about for a new source of food to fill his ever rumbling stomach. Noticing two figures a small distance away, Gul-Arg immediately moved towards them in a straight forward way. If the two people had any doubts about the undead giants intent, his next scream certainly clarified what his plan was.

"Yummy black flesh, I eat you first," Gul shouted with a cry as he pointed at the Black Knight. His walk turned into a run and slowly shifted into a vicious battle cry. He managed to get his mace from his ripped up belt and shall that formed his garments. However, his small shield was actually quite secure and out of Gul's reach during his madden charged.

"I beat you, den I eat you," Gul said with out a hint of a smile on his face. He was all to serious at this moment when food was readily available. He attacked the knight with a mighty downward strike and left the other one alone as she was small and thus weak. That was simply common knowledge.

Evals let out a grim frown when the oversized Undead started to shout. Talking to her Knight, it said it would eat him. Well, at least it wasn't mindless. Maybe stupid. Oh well, she didn't worry too much but this just wasn't her prime concern in this moment, maybe getting out of here without the rat was going to be it. Well, the thing was charging at them and she didn't really move a bit but the Knight prepared itself to be struck. Activating it's Draconic Might spell.

When the mace came down, the Knight held up one hand and stopped it with little effort. The Undead wasn't as strong as a Dragon and wouldn't be too much of a problem. The Knight then held out another hand with a grunt and casted the spell Cause Fear. Even this thing would feel something unless it was completely mindless, which it obviously wasn't. Fear was an existance in every mind. Just in case though, the Knight then continued to slammed his palm out to hit the thing in the gut most likely sending it back quite a whiles.

Evals only watched the moments in quick succession. Well, this was probably going to be a little bit harder because killing the thing would be much harder since it was Undead. Despite the Knight attempting to beat it in two quick moves Evals unleashed her Command Undead ability on it's mind. It seemed stupid so probably much more vulnerable to it's effect. Maybe.

The hulking giant did not even know what hit him. First, his attack was just stopped with ease by the knight and then was slammed twice into the stomach. It all made him very scared of the two fighting him but fear was something that Gul-Arg did not respond well too. Him being scared just made him more angry and thus made the giant even hungrier. Anger and hunger were his two main emotions and yes, for this particular giant, hunger was an emotion.

"You hurts ma," Gul-Arg said in anger as he massaged his belly over and over again. He did not like getting hurt and the anger that was created by the swelling in his precious stomach was enough to quench the last bit of fear. However, the mental intrusions into his brain was another story that no amount of anger would stop. He had been about to charge at the two again but now he was standing still.

"What you doin?"

Evals watched the giant be pushed back from the hit and was ready to come again. He didn't know when to quit. The Knight had took up another position to block and strike again. Evals just focused her command as the Undead Giant stopped before her. She didn't know if he had fallen for it or was just trying to resist. She had made a vampire fall to his knees before. "I'm controlling you." She said honestly and bluntly. She was much more dangerous than her Knight. He was just physically stronger.

"Now, drop your weapon if you will. Don't I have a few questions for you and I might deal with you nicely if you do as I say and just submit to my demands." She said in a obvious demand. Even if he didn't fall to her control it would still sound quite out there. She was use to ordering people around, she wasn't the best at it though.

She was prepared to get rid of him if he came at her again. Such things were useless to her. Evals had no use for idiotic things that couldn't follow a simple request, let alone a demand. "Do you take orders from anyone or are you an individual Undead? What is your name? And are you that hungry that you'll attack someone with no mercy just to eat them? Pathetic Undead you are. Nonetheless, just answer one more question. Have you seen a lesser Undead, looked like a normal Adult Elf, just rotting?" She spoke in rapid fire hoping it would get through to the bumbling idiot.

"I don't know," Gul-Arg said to all the questions at once. He did not like this diminutive zombie in the least as her words were making his brain hurt from the pain of both fighting off the thing's intrusions and from having to actually think for once in his life. This combination only made him angrier which would certainly make it harder to control his brain as the rage that was building up inside him would create a wall of anger that would be close to being impenetrable through mental attacks.

"You angery me," Gul said with the me coming out more of a grunt rather than an actual response. Shaking away the control in his heads with a physical shake, Gul charged forward again but this time he chucked his mace at the large knight in a spinning motion before trying to punch the man in the face.

"You get eaten!"

"Great." Evals said sarcasticly at the lumbering idiot. He was of no help to her. Might as well get rid of him, she wasn't going to try and even reason with it. It wanted good and it wasn't going to listen to her. She waved her hand dismissively and stepped back onto the path as the Black Knight was going to take care of it. This wasn't going to be too much of a problem.

When the mace was chucked, the Knight only side stepped it and went to punch back at the Undead Giant's fist. It would be much stronger and smaller, probably breaking into the Undead's hand with ease or busying it back. Around the same moment, the Knight lashed one of it's feet out to strick the being at the right Knee-Cap shattering any bones that came into contact with it's boots.

Evals stopped and watched over her shoulder, just incase the Black Knight needed any help. She doubted it though, the Undead was stupid and would be ripped apart if it didn't pull something off that would save it's Unlife. "If you back down you won't be destroyed." She said over her shoulder, she didn't even know if she was lying or not.
