| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

"I'm so hungry." Aleister whined to no one but himself. Earlier he had been walking on the road for what seemed an eternity. He had convinced himself he wasn't going to find the house he was trying to reach on the road since the man had given him instructions to go slightly off the road. He thought he would have been able to see the house but when he didn't he walked all the way off the road and had gotten himself lost. Not he was several hours behind on time when he was supposed to be at the mans cottage. He was going to get killed for this. If I don't starve first, he thought. He hadn't eaten since the night before, and he knew he was just exaggerating about it. Complaining was just something he was good at doing when he was absolutely bored, and since it was the afternoon, he was hungry. He did pack much food with him, and it was already gone from his several days of travel. Traveling wore one out, and he just realized. It was nothing like home and it annoyed him. Why couldn't things be simple again with him being snugly at home. But sadly, there apples were disgusting here, they were delicious, and when he thought about it, his stomach growled. He really could go for a basket of apples now. He trudged on by the trees, feet stomping on twigs. He found his water skin and took a long drink from it. At least he was able to keep his water at a reasonable level. Something ahead caught his attention, looked like sun reflecting off water. Water. Not food. No apples that meant. Aleister growled audibly as he slumped. He did quicken his pace though, reaching the water pretty fast. He stared at the water then the area around it. It was your typical foreast with a lake in it. Boring. He fell down in sitting position then, but it was quite awkward with his longsword, so he unclipped it from his belt, setting it to his side. He took his hat off and set it on top of his sword. "This is getting annoying. I'm going to miss that job from the old hermit which including as it sounded some fun with blood and knives, and get stuck in a damn forest. I hate this. If I get out of here I'm finding myself a way outta' here." He grumbled to himself, laying back down, putting his hands behind his head. He continued to grumble to himself about nonsense before he started to doze off. |

Chris had spent most of his day around the lake, as he often did because it was the best place in the entier forest. He had his secret berry place here, the rabbit family he used to watch a little now and then, the lake where he took a swim often and of course all the wonderful tree that he could take long nice naps in. That was what Chris did now and had done so for the last hours, being a person moving around all the time the weretiger had to rest many times a day to get back the energy. Right next to him was hanging a few dead fishes that he had captured before, was going to be a great meal when he woke up again. A great hunt it had been today, so he was feeling happy with himself. His eyes opened when he heard a sound, it came closer and he smelled the air and yeah there was something there alright. Looked like the lake was going to get a visitor? The teen slowly moved to a sitting position in the tree and payed close attention to the sounds. Aleister arrived only a few yards away from the tree Chris was in, but he did not seem to see the weretiger because he was mostly hidden in the tree. Chris tilted his head a little to the side as he examined the stranger, he looked weird with such clothes and he had never seen anything like that before. Not with the simple once he always used. "This is getting annoying. I'm going to miss that job from the old hermit which including as it sounded some fun with blood and knives, and get stuck in a damn forest. I hate this. If I get out of here I'm finding myself a way outta' here." Chris did not really get what the weird man talked about, but he seemed lost alright so that might be something Chris could help with? Yeah mommy would be happy if he helped people out from the forest when they where lost. He smiled to his own idea and then he grabbed the fours fishes and placed them over his shoulder before he took a calm graceful jump down from the tree and landed with a soft sound. "Hello there, you seem lost" he said happily and smiled brightly...((Just like the smile on his avatar)) |

Noise startled him and he bolted up to a sitting position about ready to stand and reach for his longsword that he was absolutely terrible with even after having Aiden help him some... what a odd boy Aiden was. He pushed that from his thoughts as he looked at the strange boy that approached him that looked to be only a couple years younger then him. But he carried something with him, maybe it was food. The very thought made his stomach growl. He narrowed his eyes as the boy spoke. Now now, don't need to kill the boy, he might be able to help, he told himself. But he didn't smile when he was answering the boy. "Yeah, I am a bit lost. I can't figure out how to get out of here." He said, annoyance flashing briefly before he sighed and looked up. "Maybe you can help me get outta this place, and please tell me your not gonna tell me some bad news of being lost yourself." He basically growled. He looked back at the younger boy. "I'm Aleister." He said. He was never going to introduce himself as just Aleis anymore, not with how he was mistaken somehow for a girl. Aiden is just screwed up in the head, he thought. |

"Yeah, I am a bit lost. I can't figure out how to get out of here.""Maybe you can help me get outta this place, and please tell me your not gonna tell me some bad news of being lost yourself." Chris walked a little closer as the stranger explained that he indeed was lost and the teen nodded a little as he calmly stretched his arms over the head for a moment with a slight yawn that revealed his feline like teeth. The tail calmly moved from side to side, a sign that Chris was not afraid of the stranger or anything, he was actually rather neutral. The weretiger waited until Aleister was done talking before he said anything himself. "No I am not going to tell you that I am lost to, because I live here in the forest....actually mom´s and my cave is not far from here that way..." he gestured into the forest for a moment and then he turned to the man again. "So of course I can help you out if you want me to...but it will take some time to get out since your pretty much in the deepest part of norwood now" he nodded a little after he said this. As he talked he sat down on the ground and placed the fishes next to himself in the grass. "I'm Aleister." Chris nodded a little as he was told the name. "Nice to meet you, I`m Christofer...but you can call me Chris" he said happily. "and...do you like have a nickname? Something shorter I can call you maybe?" the boy was silent for a moment and his eyes looked around and they stopped at the fished for a moment and he seemed to be thinking. "So since you are lost....are you hungry? I got some fish...I had a really nice catch today so I could share some with you?" |

Silendra smiled as she watched Chris and the other, she knew Chris from an earlier meeting and wondered if he would remember her and so she wandered up and called out to him "Hey Chris, long time no see. Whose your friend?" Silendra was eager to make what friends she could so constantly wore a happy and friendly disposition. It had been a very long time since she had seen any Drow like herself, but perhaps that was a good friend. She stopped to introduce herself to the other with a warm smile on her face "Hello! I am Silendra and who might you be?" There was a spring in her step as she walked and the hint of laughter in her eyes. |

He lives here? In the forest in a cave? Aleister looked at the boy as if he was crazy for a brief moment. Who would ever want to live in a cave in the forest when you could live in a perfectly nice well built home. Maybe a cave was nice too though. Aleis had been raised in a one floor shack with four rooms, made of rocks, mud, and wood, it was a shoddy place with dirt floors, it wasn't a great place to live, especially when you had three siblings and two parents. A cave actually did sound better then what he had. He groaned when he heard that he was in the deepest parts of Norwood. "As long as I get out of here, I don't care how long it takes." Even if he did have jobs to keep, they would just have to wait til he's free of this place. He glanced at the boy when he said his name was Christofer, but wanted to be called Chris. When he asked if Aleister had a nickname, he narrowed his eyes again. "Aleis. But mistake me for a girl and it'd be the last thing you do on Choan." He said darkly. He looked at the fish on the ground and when Chris asked if he was hungry, he could have cried with joy if such a thing was ever possible for the torturer. "You have no idea how hungry I feel." He said. Then a woman showed up, who looked like a Drow, this was the first time he had ever seen one up close. He looked at the woman, who seemed so... happy. Sure the boy had, but this girl beamed with it, and he couldn't help but have a disgusted look appear on him pale face. How can people be so happy? It was disgusting. He supposed no one knew the real dark side, the place where no one can ever be happy. The girl seemed to know Chris, she spoke to him like a friend it seemed to him... Friends, another disgusting though. "Hi Silendra. I'm Aleister." He said when she asked his name. He smiled, but it never reached his eyes which held a dark look. It was getting harder to control his anger and the feeling of cutting the two up. He wasn't raised to be friendly and to hang around people to chat, well, he wasn't really raised at all, his demon parents never really bothered themselves with their kids. |

"Aleis. But mistake me for a girl and it'd be the last thing you do on Choan." Chris frowned and tilted his head a little to the side as the boy said this, he examined Aleis for a moment and seemed to be thinking. "Well....sure I will not mistake you for a girl Aleis....I mean, why would I do that? You do not look like a girl to me, and you do not smell like one either" he smelled the air for a moment and then he frowned a little. "So no worries that will ever happen with me" he grinned a little and after that he yawned. "You have no idea how hungry I feel." Chris grin widened a little at those words and he quickly began to work with the fishes to remove the bones...he used sharp catlike claws that came out from his fingers. "Well I am only happy to share with someone, and if you are that hungry it will only be more nice" he said as he worked, a little now and then his bright eyes looked to the other boy. "Why are you here in the forest anyway Aleis? I mean....there are roads people use most when getting from place to place" He then heard a familiar voice and looked up to notice Silendra....first he did not remember but then the memories came to him. "Hello Silendra!" he said happily. "How nice to see you! You want some fish with us?" |
