Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Appearance (Tolmar): He is a strong looking man, with a heavy tan from living in the Istan Desert for years; however his skin is still slightly lighter than most around due to his celestial heritage. Many find this makes him look exotic and is considered handsome by most. He always has an axe with him and prefers to wear simple merchant clothing good for traveling. He has short dark brown hair and a pair of golden eyes. He always holds himself strait; making his over six foot height seems even larger at times.

He rarely can transform, but when he does he has a light brown coat of fur with a bit of white. The fur also has a very dull gold gleam in the right light. He doesn't gain any height, but he is definitely stronger. His face stays mostly humanoid except around the ears, and he gains a tail like a jackal’s. He also gains the sharp teeth and claws when in this form. The few that have seen this form still thought he was handsome if not a bit more frightening as well.

He can never seem to go full jackal.

Appearance (Tresia): Though a bit shorter, she has the better looking body. She often is taken to be weaker than she appears since she has a delicate look to her; however, she is still weaker than Tolmar. She prefers not to carry their axe in plain sight, but often leaves it on her hip. Her hair is a long dark brown. She also prefers wearing nicer clothes that show off her beauty, without showing too much. She also has the golden eyes and the same exotic looking tan that Tolmar has.

Unlike Tolmar she has full control to their were forms. In jackal form she has a light golden fur with a bit of white. Neither knows the reason for the difference in fur color. She also has a tail, with teeth and claws to match. She doesn't look any stronger, but is much stronger in this form.

In full jackal she has the same golden fur, but is about twice as large as a normal jackal.

Personality: Tresia was originally just a voice in Tolmar's head. Another personality that would sometimes talk to him and very rare be able to move around instead of him. Their parents woried about this, but could do little, given they were a poor family. However this changed when Tolmar was bitten by a were-jackal. They found that when they transformed Tolmar would change into a female body at first and Tresia would take control. They found this oddly made it so they didn’t have to fight the curse, thought they still have urges that are hard to resist at times. With years of practice they found a way to separate the forms and each can now give control over to the other. One problem is that at the full moon Tresia is almost always in charge and transformed. Both of them often argue as they disagree on many things in their head. It sometimes confuses those around them when their arguments are spoken out loud.(rarely happens) Both try to keep their other side hidden from all but their closest friends. Making some rather odd situations come up. Like when Tresia once got a crush on a boy that Tolmar hated as an arch rival.

Both of them will often argue in their head, but this mostly will not be something other people notice. One they are very good at hiding such things, so unless notted there isn't much evidence of the internal conflict. Two most arguments even if long don't take much time given they both converse at the speed of thought. These arguments are more like the random thing you think about in the background during a conversation or such.

Tolmar’s personality is one of an upstanding citizen. He always tries to follow the law and finds ways to help people when he can. He always has a merchant’s attitude trying to make deals or agreements to avoid fights. However, he won’t do any shady dealing and only works for honest people. One of his favorite sayings is, “If you don’t deal fairly with me, then my axe will deal with you instead.” He is always griping the handle of the axe on his back when saying this.

Tresia’s personality is one of a more carefree person. She also enjoys working as a merchant, but is more open to bending the rules a bit to make a deal. She also loves teasing people and randomly transforming to get a laugh out of people. She is also the more skilled fighter of the two, but is often playful when fighting making them about equal in effectiveness in battle. She also has the weakness of buying good clothes that she really shouldn’t, but as Tolmar barely buys new clothes, just fixing and cleaning old ones they seem to manage. She also tends to make more friends than Tolmar, being more out going. He often complains about the many friends, who often annoy him when it is his turn to be out.
