Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

With a roll of her eyes, Cordelia took the flower and headed after her son, taking very little time to catch up to him. He seemed rather eager to get away from this place, but she couldn't entirely blame him. Now that their task was completed, Cordelia was ready to go home - or to Kellen, rather - and relax to musical screams of pain.

Once they had delivered the flower, she allowed Duo to walk ahead of her, not concerned with staying by his side. He was a big boy, he could do what he wanted. Besides, she felt sick to her stomach from the way Icheb had acted; she needed something twisted and malevolent to bring her spirits up and get her back to where she needed to be. A single brow lifted when he stopped in place, her head cocking to the side at his words.

"Do we now?" she questioned, only to smell it as well once she was at his side. She knew that scent... it was the most wretched thing that she'd ever had the displeasure of getting stuck in her nose. It had burned itself into her brain; there wasn't an easy way to forget her worst enemy. "And here all I wanted was to kill a few villagers..." she grumbled, her expression falling.

Tears gathered at the corners of Cassiel's eyes, though not of pain or distress. Hatred was the only thing she could feel, her heart pumping its poison seed through her veins with every beat. Rage went hand in hand with her burning loathing, causing such emotion and adrenaline inside of her that she was shaking. Her eyes were locked on Fehade as he walked, violet eyes trying to burn a hole into the back of his head. She knew who this man was more than she would have liked to. His name had only been spoken in their house, but she wasn't stupid; his name was only ever brought up when Seth and Nikki thought she couldn't hear or whenever Nikkolai got hurt. Although never expressly told, Cassiel knew this demon had to be the reason for the strife their family had endured in her younger years - and now he had the audacity to bring that upon them once more.

Cassiel's breath became heavier and she struggled against her binds. Her hands were tied securely to the saddle's horn and the ropes were digging into her skin. She'd been trying this entire journey to break free, to try and somehow cast any sort of magic - but with her mouth covered as well there was no way she would be able to do it. Powerless... she remembered feeling like this before, and it was the most weakening thing she had ever been through. Cassiel screamed against the gag, although it was severely muffled. She couldn't even ask what he wanted with her!

The scent was becoming stronger. Cordelia's muscles tensed and she instinctively stepped in front of Duo, unwilling to allow Fehade near the boy. Her weapons and her magic were all prepared, and now it was merely a question of when he revealed himself.

Huh. That didn't take too long.

Eyes narrowed, Cordelia stared at Fehade, lips lifting into a snarl. A deep, feral growl emanated from the depths of her throat. She didn't appreciate how little distance there was between the two of them. Hell, she didn't appreciate the fact that he had sought her out as well. "I don't give a damn about your plan, now get the hell out of my way, I'm not in the mood for you," she hissed. "So you've been stalking me, would you like some sort of prize? Because honestly I can't give you one. Why don't you take your little pony and just skedaddle?"

And here Duo had been expecting to at least be acknowledged by Fehade. But noooooo, the Tiefling went straight to addressing his 'mother,' being so bold as to use both her first name and surname. It made him scowl harshly, fangs reaching over his curled bottom lip as he restrained himself from snarling. Nobody ignored him and walked off scott-free, especially not when he was part of the same guild as Fehade. He barely paid mind to the horse, woman, or teenage girl bound to the beast- okay, maybe he did pay her a few quick glances- focusing instead upon the appearance of this man who was called a demon by those who knew his name throughout all of Imythess.

There was something about his eyes that reminded him of staring into a bonfire; wild, full of destructive potential, all-consuming in their nature. It was like staring straight into the mouth of the Abyss, standing on the edge of a chasm that he would be pulled into if he wasn't weary. Those eyes spoke to him of malice unchecked, of a great desire to see the world burn beneath their gaze- and he wanted to see those eyes closing.

He didn't need to look back to realize that his mother was utterly, astoundingly displeased by the arrival of Fehade. Apparently, she wasn't the only one, though- The girl upon the horse was shaking quite visibly, probably from fear... Or was it out of anger? No matter how fiercely she struggled, he knew there was no chance in the Nine Hells that she would break free from her bonds. He'd been through the experience of being absolutely immobilized once before, but that had been at the end of a particularly entertaining duel of sorts. The fond memories would have to wait, though.

Already Cordelia's animosity was spilling over across both their vampiric bond and their telepathic bond, but he restrained himself from attacking the man outright. Fehade wasn't the typical weakling fodder that he was used to attacking; no, bringing him down would take patience. He willingly allowed Cordelia to stand in front of him, knowing all too well that there was no chance he could stand against Fehade head on by himself. For now, he was best left to stand back and allow them to battle, while waiting for an opening. Brow furrowed, he reached into his cloak and drew his signature dagger before standing silent behind Cordelia.

Even if the sky was clear above them, he felt a rising storm upon the otherwise-blue horizon. Titans were about to clash here in front of him, and he was going to be a firsthand witness. For some odd reason or another, he found himself smiling, despite the fact that every fiber of his being was filled with an out-of-place apprehension. It wasn't long before low chuckles were escaping his mouth, almost too quiet to be audible. Was this what it felt like to know that you were outmatched and outclassed in almost every possible sense by the people in front of you?

"I don't give a damn about your plan, now get the hell out of my way, I'm not in the mood for you,"

"Well, you better start giving a damn, pet." Fehade snapped, his voice sharp, but his angered voice didn't last long before he started to laugh, a grin spreading over his face. He ran a hand through his gloved hand through his spiked hair. This was going to be fun, so much fun. "A prize? You could say I do want something like that. You see, Cordie, I want immortality. Yeah, I know, I could go find someone else to give it to me, but, I said to myself; what the hell? Why don't I have my dear friend Brooks make me into a vampire." His voice was soft.

His gaze wandered to look at the boy again, hid lips moving into a small smile. "Duo. Isn't it?" His smile left shortly after it had come. "I had hoped you would have had more sense then to group with such a piece of waste like Brooks here. What is happening to the guild now? Its falling apart. Disgusting creatures being brought to the halls, and new members teaming with her." He let himself sigh, even if he really didn't care much what ever happened to the Divschatten, but just the thought of that rat coming to the hall made him hate the guild even more so. He remembered when there was nothing but people like him, who were demonic infused with demon blood already running through their vains, and now...

He looked over towards Evier, who was glaring at Cordelia the whole time. The nightmare wasn't getting over the fact that the vampire and taken her into the fire that one time. But Fehade didn't blame her, he couldn't stand it when he was shown that he was weak, but he always got revenge for it. Revenge was what he lived for basically. He just hoped she wouldn't try anything stupid.

He looked back and Cordelia. "So, how shall we do his. I need to become a vampire, and something tells me you won't do it willingly. So, I can beat you down until you do, or well, you can change me more willingly, but still get cut up." He grinned, setting a hand on his katana.

Quiet as his laughter was, it reached Cordelia's ears without problem. Slight irritance etched itself within the contours of her face; did he find this funny? This night was supposed to be for mother-son bonding, not taking care of grudges and enemies. Cordelia snapped her teeth as Fehade as soon as he tried to give her some sort of affectionate nickname. "Stick to business," she snarled. "I'm not your pet, get used to it." What was first only annoyance was building into rage as anger soared throughout her. Who did he think he was...? Did he really think he was worth her time like this, that he could stop her life whenever he planned for his own benefit? No, she decided when they fought, not him.

Her eyes narrowed at the very notion of her giving him his blood. "I would never allow you into my bloodline," she growled. Fehade was undeserving of the gift of vampirism, and for him to ever think she would give him that, to make him her childe, was insanity on his part. "You really are mad, you know that? I'd be shamed for all eternity to make you a vampire. You don't deserve that... I'd rather die than see you in my veins." Her voice was thick, laden with untouched hatred and disdain. For once, she wasn't exaggerating - she would do anything in her power to keep a bastard like Fehade from becoming one of her kind.

Fists clenched at her sides until she could take it no longer, unsheathing Boreal from its place at her hip. "You will not insult my son," she said. "I don't care about your goddamn guild, you talk to him again without respect and I'll cut that smirk right off your face." Cordelia's chest heaved somewhat, too angry for her not to. He was pushing her; this wasn't even a game any longer. He'd gone some place further, crossed the line without any regard to it.

And she would kill him.

"I won't do it no matter what," she said, completely resolute. "It's more than you just taking my blood, you little fool. If it was that simple you could have done this to yourself ages ago."

Something inside of Duo twitched when he heard this man addressing his dearest mother as his 'pet.' It was as if a wasp had landed upon his brow and, although the urge to smack it away was great, he knew it would sting him if he attempted. He held his tongue instead, until a quick snort escaped his cold, pale lips as Fehade revealed his goals. Him? Immortal? Pfft, he was barely deserving of the right to grovel for mercy before Cordelia, much less be one of her bless'd progeny. His mother wasn't backing down at all, just as he'd come to expect- she was as stubborn as always, and he swore he heard a feral snarl behind each word she spat at Fehade.

His smirk vanished alongside Fehade's, though. He hadn't expected the other to address him personally, let alone much at all. Granted, it was a bit flattering, but- Wait, is he insultingme?! he screamed in his own head, anger building up like the pressure built in a volcano before eruption. No, not just him, he was insulting Cordelia, he was insulting the Divschatten! His face broke into a snarl, fangs barred at the demon in front of him as he yelled, "Shut the Hell up! You're never there, what do you know?!" as his eyes flashed a violent, bloody red.

The final straw came as Fehade delivered his ultimatum. There was no way in all of the Nine Hells that Duo was going to allow this creature, this scum of the Abyss, this filth of Imythess to join into the bloodline that he and Cordelia shared with only a select other few. He knew his mother's wishes, he knew his own desires: by the end of this encounter, Fehade would be thoroughly destroyed. "Leave this swine to me, Mother," he said breathlessly, too consumed by anger to even bother respirating anymore.

Without even thinking about it, his magic had burst outwards, filled with the wrath of its controller as it coiled around Fehade, invisible traces of power that would work their effect upon the target of Duo's ire. The teenager merely looked on with a mad glee dancing upon his youthful features, sparks of insanity playing behind his eyes as he pointed a twitching, bent finger at Fehade. Flames which clawed at everything they touched exploded upwards from the ground as the space around Fehade was ignited, leaving Duo to cackle madly as he watched the man's body be consumed in fire, red and orage light being strewn about the area from the blaze. All this left Duo throwing his head back in exuberance as the rest of his body shuddered in absolute jubilation, glancing at his mother with a more-than-satisfied smile.

"I would never allow you into my bloodline,"

Fehade smiled. "Its a real pity how you don't have a choice." He said. When she spoke again, he heard the hatred. The main reason he chose Cordelia to sire him was because it would sicken herself, but it was please him over and over again, whenever he thought about. "You would go as far as dying then letting me become immortal? Death is too boring." But also to him, terrifying, he has never liked the thought of himself dying because he was too weak to stop it from happening, and he knew when becoming a vampire his heart would stop, he would die tonight, even if to be born again as a vampire. He was surprised when Cordelia protected Duo like a son, well, he was a vampire and she probably changed him and he did act like she was his mother, how disgusting. Family never did anyone good, Fehade wanted his dead, to slaughter them all.

"... I'll cut that smirk right off your face."

His grin just grew wider and he laughed again. "You wouldn't get two feet towards me before I chopped you to bits and destroyed you and your little boy." He then turned his red gaze to look at the boy when he spoke.

"Shut the Hell up! You're never there, what do you know?!"

"I may not be there now, but I was there at the beginning when the demons were at their peak, when rats weren't infesting its halls ruining its glory." His voice was filled with loathing.

"I won't do it no matter what, It's more than you just taking my blood, you little fool. If it was that simple you could have done this to yourself ages ago."

"Oh, I know that, Brooks. I've studied the way to become a vampire, and you will do it. As I've said, you won't have a choice when I'm finished with you and your dog." Fehade pulled the katana Ismon from its scabbard, holding the two handed weapon easily in one hand, thetip pointed to the ground. He looked at the boy again once he started to move, and raised a hand towards Fehade, and just then, the area under Fehade was ignited, the flames engulfing him, licking him, but it didn't touch him, it didn't hurt, he didn't even feel the heat that came from the flames. Fehade laughter was soft at first, but grew in volume. He held out his free left hand, whispering under his breath, talking to the fire softly, the flames then gathered in his opened palm forming a ball, that grew and grew til all the flame from the ignite spell was there. The tiefling grinned at the boy.

"Such a stupid thing isn't he, Brooks? Didn't you ever tell him fire is useless against me? It doesn't harm me, but it still tickles." He said and he drew his arm back and threw the fireball at the two vampires.

"I do have a choice, you pompous little bastard," she snarled. Cordelia had wanted desperately to avoid this, but there was no walking away now. Their feud had gone on long enough... Fehade was a nuisance who had been in her life for over a year. She didn't know how she had allowed him to remain in her life for over a year. He'd been nothing but a pain, a nagging little insect that only sometimes inflicted any sort of fear into her - she'd be sure to remove him tonight. Enough was enough. "You don't deserve something as prestigious as immortality... you deserve to die, have each of your limbs ripped off and picked off by vultures while the rest of you is thrown into the Moonsea... I think it'd be fitting for a beast who loves fire to drown." A malevolent smirk coiled her lips upwards and she laughed at the absolute giddiness it instilled in her.

Her eyes narrowed. No one would threaten her or her children, especially not her children. "You know you're too weak to do that," she said. "I don't even need to get close to you to hurt you." She was, of course, referring to Evier. Fehade had become like a whining, paranoid little weakling the moment she'd threatened the nightmare's life. If she had to she would just kill the woman, she meant nothing to Cordelia and it was no problem of hers. If it meant traumatizing Fehade, she would do it. "And how many times have I hurt you in the past... and what have you ever done to me besides burn my arms - and that healed, by the way - that actually had an affect?"

Satisfied with herself, she turned to look at Duo, who seemed as angry - if not angier - than she was. "Rats walked the halls of your little guild long before my son arrived," she stated. "Like you, for example." It wasn't a biting, cutting remark, but it worked well enough. It would be enough to at the very least cause annoyance, she was sure, and right now that was precisely what she wanted to do - anger him.

She took a step closer to him as he totally unsheathed his weapon. By now rage was radiating forth from her, darkening her countenance, voice, and strengthening her magic. "I will not," she spat. "I would never drink your blood, I'd be sick for weeks if I ingested something so utterly vile. You're even beneath humans on the food chain."

"Leave the swine to me, Mother."

Cordelia's gaze shifted to Duo again. She hadn't expected to become as infuriated as she was, but it made her proud. It showed he was loyal to her and that he cared for her, and she would never object to that. Nodding, she allowed him to do what he would.

But that was a stupid move to make!

"Duo!" Cordelia shrieked, her eyes filling with shock. He didn't know Fehade could control fire, otherwise he wouldn't have - he wouldn't change sides, he wouldn't betray her - panic ran through her and she thought over the situation, only to then force herself to calm down. Duo would not betray her. He was her son, she had given him the life he now had. Knowing Fehade would use it to his advantage, Cordelia's attention immediately shifted back to him. Playing with fire with both of them didn't sound very fun...

"Stupid? Duo?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. The fireballs neared and it only took the utterance of a few words and the wave of a hand to cause them to puff up into nothing but smoke.

"You should think before you speak."

Grinning, Cordelia conjured up another spell, a favorite of hers, this one green and swirling before it solidified. She launched the venom bolt at him, shifting so her whole body went into it.

Something about Fehade's smile sent shivers running down his spine, shaking him to the core. It was a look Duo was familiar with, one he'd seen the effects of numerous times- it was so very similar to his own. The grin of a person that held all the pieces to a puzzle, who dominated the chess game- a predator. He had dealt with predators before, but never ones that so viciously outclassed him. For once, it seemed that his wit wouldn't be able to compensate against Fehade's raw power. What really struck him, though, was how cocky Fehade was. Even Duo himself wasn't so foolhardy as to make such a bold statement, because he was always certain about every threat he made. A person like him would never say something like that; not without the capacity to back it up.

"I prefer rats to Imps," he snarled, fangs bared. How he wanted to dig his canines into Fehade's neck and watch him writhe until Death took him! Unfortunately, it would appear that his flames had done their intended job. He hardly registered the cackling that came from within them, not until his shrieked name pierced the air. His eyes shot to his mother, wide as he asked, "What's the problem?" as his triumphant smirk began to fade. His laughter had died, and from its absence, he could clearly detect Fehade's own malevolent cackling.

His gaze slowly turned to where he had expected to see Fehade being devoured by a raging inferno, instead finding the Tiefling alive and all too well- not to mention controlling every tongue of fire that he'd just worked to summon. He was already preparing to transport himself and Cordelia to a safe spot when the flames vanished with a wave of her hand. Perhaps this was where he differed from Fehade: Duo knew when he was outmatched; he was stubborn, not mental. He would focus upon less capable targets while his mother took down the king.

With a movement of the hand into his cloak and the blink of his eyes, Duo vanished into thin air as he shifted through space to reappear next to the mount and the woman that led it. A single swipe would hopefully be enough to cut the ropes which bound the younger woman atop the steed, so long as the woman by the horse didn't stop him in time. Even if that proved to be the case, he had no qualms about tearing at her with his teeth if she came that close and gave him the chance. With a flash of steel and a reestablished manic grin, he lashed out at the ropes, paying no further heed to Fehade.

Fehade laughed. "You know, Cordie, you really need to get a attitude change." Then she brought up Evier, that whole ordeal then had really pissed him off, but now it was better, if Evier died now, he could care less. She may have been with him since the beginning, but it was time he stopped caring completely. Emotions were such pointless things, and at least he had Rraezanon to help him to become much less human and to wipe those human feelings away.

"And how many times have I hurt you in the past... and what have you ever done to me besides burn my arms - and that healed, by the way - that actually had an affect?"

"Then I'll be sure to actually hurt you, Cordelia. I'll rip your flesh from your body, shatter your limbs and burn you til your inside boil, I'll make the terrible burning pain last for hours, even after I stop you'll still be in so much pain. But I won't kill you, watching you live your miserable life while I'm still in it is so much fun." He hissed. "And when that heals, I'll go after your children I hear about, I'll tear them apart just to make you hurt."

Fehade noticed the boy Duo had vanished and went to Daeth to free the girl, but he wasn't worried about that, he would leave it to Evier to stop them, and even if the girl got away, she wouldn't get far before Fehade could catch up to her and break her.

He was quite disappointed when his fireball failed, but when she returned with a venom bolt, he cast magic immunity on him which would last for a couple minutes. So the bolt hit him, making him take a step back, but it didn't do anything too him, it just seemed to disappear as it hit him. Then his blade burst into flames. With a couple spidery words, he used the spell Black Out on Cordelia. The effects were always wonderful, and he couldn't wait to see what they did to the damn vampire.

Meanwhile, Daeth watched the boy Duo, but didn't do anything since there wasn't much the hellsteed could do. But then Evier was a few feet from the horse, girl and boy, a mask of no emotion on her face as she cast the spell inflict minor wounds on Duo, attempting to focus the magic to hit the boy in the hands which would hopefully make him stumble with cutting the ropes that held the girl to the saddle.

"Look for yourself," Cordelia hissed to her son. She was hardly concerned when he disappeared, figuring he had his own tactics. It didn't matter, she could take down Fehade with ease. She'd done it before and she could do it again, it wasn't too big of a deal to her. Not bothering to keep an eye on Duo anymore, her attention focused solely upon the enemy.

Cordelia made no attempt to quiet the oncoming snort. "Please," she said in a snotty tone. "Talk about pot calling the kettle black." If she needed an attitude adjustment, she didn't even want to think about what he would need. He was far worse than her, so who did he think he was to talk down to her in such a way? After tonight he'd never speak like that to her again, she'd make certain of it.

Grinding her teeth together, Cordelia listened impatiently as he spoke, hardly taking threat to what he said. It was nothing that hadn't been said to her before - much of what he said was similar to what Manic used to say and she was still alive and well. There wasn't much of a comparison between the two, considering she wholeheartedly believed Manic was stronger than Fehade by far, but the basis of the fact still stood: she wasn't afraid of him.

"My children would kick your ass so fast you wouldn't even know what happened," she assured him. Of course this was something she doubted, considering Kaiden's pacifism and Alaina's naivete, but Fehade didn't have to know that. Besides, Alaina had proved useful during the time with Vayne; there was no telling what that child was capable of, considering who her father was. "You should come up with some new stuff. I've been listening to you babble on about that crap for longer than I can imagine... I'd at least be somewhat interested if you came up with some new material."

Disappointment ran through her when he made no reaction to her venom bolt. Apparently it'd had no affect... but she supposed that was fine. The fight was far from over, even if she couldn't use some of her abilities because of his power.

She sucked in a breath to cast again, only then to be struck by a numbing ache that hit her core. Cordelia stumbled back, struggling for breath, completely uncertain what was happening to her body. Her vision was becoming blurry, her ability to see waning with every moment, and her ability to feel was slipping away as well. "Wha..." she began, or so she thought - she couldn't hear herself, feel herself move her muscles, couldn't feel the air on her tongue or smell the ashes and smoke that always filled the air when Fehade was near -

What had he done to her?!

Panic soared through her and she tried to move. Although she was capable of it, Cordelia couldn't feel it, and although a loud, high-pitched scream soon followed her recent discovery she couldn't hear it at all. Her hands lifted, clawing at her face and her hair, pulling, trying to invoke some sort of feeling! Was she even conscious? Her mind was swimming but her body felt paralyzed, each of her senses were numb and lifeless!

Bastard...

She had heard of this spell, so she at least knew she was alive and conscious, but she had no idea how to counter its effects. There was only one thing she could think of to do, and uttering the words that she couldn't even feel herself speak, lose rocks, dirt, sand, pieces of grass, leaves, and other fallen debris began to rise into the air, swirling in a fast whirlwind that was beginning to create a vicious storm. If she couldn't see him, then she'd make certain he couldn't see her, either.

--

Oh good, he was coming to help her! Cassiel's eyebrows lifted desperately, acknowledging that she had seen him and knowing he was going to help. She would have wriggled or screamed, but she didn't want to let Evier or Fehade onto the fact that he was helping her - although they probably already knew. She peered down at him with anxiety, glancing between him and the woman with utter fear in her eyes that her one chance of breaking free wouldn't work.

She pulled the ropes, wanting to make them as taut as possible so it would be easier to hack through them. They didn't have time, that woman was going to do something! She could have screamed when she cast that spell, especially on his hands - but in the end she stopped caring because the rope that had tied her hands to the saddle was severed and she was free. Although it would be a clumsy landing, Cassiel threw herself off the side of the horse, not bothering with getting off 'properly' - she didn't care about a stupid animal that didn't belong to her, even if it was a horse!

Wriggling her hands out of the ropes that still bound her wrists, Cassiel made quick work to remove the gag that had covered her mouth, gasping for breath and utterly relieved to be free. Without a moment's waste she got up to her feet, looking up to the sky and muttering words for a spell. Ominous clouds began to gather overhead, rolling in over them thick and dark. It wasn't much, but it was the best she could do to contribute.

Even before his eyes caught sight of Evier casting a spell at him, his mind was prickling with the sensation of magic springing into life. He turned just in time to catch the intended direction of her spell, but not quickly enough to move his hand. True to her aim, his fingers were filled with a sharp pain as he cringed, dropping his knife to the road underneath. He cursed loudly, thinking of the different ways that he could get back at the stupid woman, but there would be time for that later.

His swearing bout finished, Duo began to weave a spell on his own hand, the one that hadn't been struck. It glowed softly, a cutting aura surrounding it as he swiped at the rope with his hand. In moments, it was torn, and he watched with satisfaction as the formerly-bound woman rolled off of the horse and landed uncermemoniously. No longer worried about her, he turned to face Evier, cracking his knuckles and grinning toothily. It was only an intimidation method, for he had no intent of actually striking her.

Not with his fists, anyway.

First, though, he wanted to know her plans. His eyes took on a bright violet glow as he gazed at Evier, trying to look past the veil she wore. It made no difference to him, but he enjoyed seeing the fear in his victim's eyes when he was trying to terrorize them. With any luck, she'd have no way to stop him from reading her mind and letting him know all of her little tricks.

His spell had quite an effect, and he felt himself laughing. This was so interesting. "What, Cordie? Can't hear? See? Smell? All gone. How Perfect." He laughed, twirling the katana in a hand as he made his way towards the vampire, but stopped when the vampire was still able to call up a spell, whirlwind, and it picked up a lot of debris from the ground, blocking his view of his prey. He glowered, before his wide grin returned.

He moved his hand in a circle, and used more of his strength to pull off another Empower spell, then cast his own Whirlwind, but it was more vicious, more powerful. It seemed to swallow Cordelia's, pulling at everything else around it. Fehade then lifted his hand up, a small flame appearing in the palm of his hand. He then blew on the flame, and it suddenly stretched out, just like a street trick with fire was. But the wind that the whirlwinds created pulled at the flame. Soon, all the debris in the whirlwinds was on fire, the fire went round, round and over again, making a deadly weapon.

Then Fehade used his whirlwind to push everything towards the Cordelia whose senses were completely out. It would be very entertaining to see her get caught in it.

Evier watched the boy, no fear or anything in her dark eyes. But she smiled behind her veil, even if it wasn't visible. She lifted her hand up, and pointed her hand towards Duo, speaking a few words, black magic gathering around her hand, before the dark negative energy shot out with a enervation bolt. Since he didn't seem like he was going to attack first, and she was pretty sure she knew why, but that wouldn't stop her from attacking, even if the spell she used could easily be dodged.

Couldn't see. Couldn't hear. Couldn't feel. Everything going on was lost to her, as if it didn't exist - as if she didn't exist. There had to be a way to do something, a way to at least repair a single one of her senses. She didn't care what it was, as long as she could just fix something!

And then it hit her.

Relief washed over her as she remembered. The sun would be rising soon, but for now it was still night and she still had time to use her lunar abilities. Using them, she was able to at least restore her sight, unable to be blinded while the night still had its hold over Imythess. Slowly her sight returned to her, her usually stormy blue eyes taking on a violet tinge now that she was using these new abilities. Although she still remained deaf to the world, she could at least see what was going on and find a way to counter.

Knowing that there was nothing she could do to stop the fire spiraling around them, Cordelia did the best she could. White flames coated her body; the brilliant corona would at least reduce the damage to almost nothing should any of that fire hit her. The last thing she needed was to have another ordeal like what Manic had done to her in Taras - it still haunted and plagued her and she would not go back to that place.

She was knocked back by the force of the blow, wind, fire and debris all coming at her at once. Again she screamed, sliding into the ground in a crumbled heap, casting shield as she was knocked back into the ground. Fehade's magic was more powerful than hers, but hopefully the combined magical shield and corona would stop him from winning this. The sun would be rising soon - this couldn't go on for much longer without getting hurt even worse.

Cassiel was not going to stick around to watch the boy and that lady battle it out. The red head looked familiar, although her mind was too scrambled for her to bother thinking about it at the moment. While they were occupied with each other, Cassiel slipped away, looking up to the clouds she had summoned. She'd hold off on the lightning and rain storms for a little bit - right now she had something else to do.

Keeping her distance, Cassiel maneuvered herself to be positioned behind Fehade, cupping her hands together. Another spell, and lightning was called forth into her hands, which she quickly aimed at the back of the demon's body. She knew she wasn't as strong as he was, but after all he'd done to her family she wanted the bastard to suffer as much as he could.

As much as Duo had wanted to remain ignorant of the battle between Fehade and Cordelia, a scream that could only have been made by his mother ripped his attention away from Evier and any threat. His violet eyes widened, astounded by the magnitude of the flames that whipped all around his mother that Fehade had created. If they weren't targeting Cordelia, he would have called them beautiful, even. He wanted to do something to try and help, but against fire of that magnitude... Well, he was utterly useless. His only hope was that Cordelia would find a way to protect herself within the inferno.

Of course, just because his eyes had averted didn't mean his mind was unfocused. Evier's thoughts were dark, filled with the intent to kill in the swiftest of manners. He spun on his heel, a brilliant aura of flames that ranged from white to a violet that matched his eyes erupting around him. Arms crossed in front of him, Duo braced himself against the bolt, grinding his teeth and screwing his eyes shut against the agony as it struck. It wasn't the full impact, due to the Corona he'd raised, but it still stung like Hell.

"Not... Bad," he snarled, arms uncrossing shakily as he opened his eyes. They'd both taken on a white glow, the flames around him growing in size and intensifying. With a quick thrust of his arm towards Evier, loops of the aura whipping out violently towards every last inch of Evier's body that they could reach for. The idea of beating this annoying woman to a bloody pulp pleased him, coupled with the fact that he wanted to see her broken body writhing in agony before dealing a fatal blow. Laughter overtook him as the whips of energy lashed out again and again, and even if they would only be as strong as maybe a punch, that was good enough for him.
