Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Midori sat on the roof of a building. It was a market store and he was eating a sandwich he bought at one of the stores. They would make almost anything if you had the money and if they had the material to make it. He had seen someone with one of these 'sandwiches' before and thought he would try it. Still, he had to ask for any kind of meats remove. He had Polymorphed himself into a Human hours before and he went through the town as a Human now, so his shirt had two small thin rips in the back of it but nontheless it wasn't a big deal to many people. The sun was high in the sky, it was still the morning though.

Why did he bother to leave the forest to come to this town? Was it that money could actually be used in Kellen? Was it that he enjoyed the crowds? He didn't think so, just an instint as he had gotten use to people a few years ago. He remembered when he used to be afraid of the larger folk and now he didn't care too much.

He finished the food he had and looked down at the road. He felt family-less when he saw a child with their parents. He felt jobless when he saw someone cleaning the windows of a store. He felt... himself. He had a job, that he put upon himself. He got money in his own way, his family was who ever he made his family at the time. His home was the Norwood forest and he would go back when the time came for it. He wiped some bread crumbs off of the corner of his lip and continued to watch. Wondering what he would be doing if he wasn't Polymorphed right now.

Erin had done some serious work in the village today, she had helped out many people with wounds. She had also healed a few broken bones, someone had been poisioned. Well Erin was happy when she could help others, when she had much to do she was happy since she really did feel as if she was doing something useful. She walked out from a house where she had just helped a mother to cute her children, it had been nothing serious but better safe then sorry was what Erin always said.

The lady then calmly began to walk though the village in a slow phase, she was not in a hurry. A little now and then she stopped to look up into the sky or on something else that she noticed. She liked this little village, it was calm and not to large. She would not at all mind to live here herself. But she was happy to have her house in Cascadia and it was also a wonderful city, but this was wonderful in another way. Of course she did not see Midori as he sat on the roof, she might have sene him if she had raised her eyes a little, but then again that was not usualy where a person looked.

Torcral twirled on one of her feet. Being not able to burn stuff at touch rocked, it made her smile and giggle to herself a bit. She had just bought a dress from someone. Why she got it free she didn't understand. She didn't noticed that there was a rip in it on the side but that didn't matter too much. She wore clothes when she felt like it. It was fun to wear clothing. She smiled as her flames licked the edges of the clothing but didn't burn it in anyway. She giggled again before taking it off to hold it under her arm. She was wearing a short top and short pants that some guy gave to her. She didn't understand why people gave her clothes.

She turned and ran to try and find something else interesting. This plane was so much fun, there were so many different people and the surprises didn't stop coming. Torcy ran right into someone and the surprise made her lose her solid state. Someone wasn't there a moment ago, this wasn't fair. Still, her flames scattered and fell to the ground. She pulled herself together in a wavery form and waited a second.

She looked at the person she ran into, one of those Human things, or Humies as she called them. Looked young or so, she seemed to have been looking up. She took shape into a Flaming copy of the women in front of her just to have some fun. The flames even mimicked the clothes she was wearing. Still, she would apologize. "Sorry Miss." She said with a quick bow from the waist.

Aegnor walked down the road towards the village, but he had not arrived there yet as it was now. His phase was calm and slow, the only real sound he made was the natural once created from when his shoes hit the ground. The sword was hanging by his side as always and a slight wind made his cloak move as he walked. The little girl Emma walked not far behind him but she seemed very interested in looking at the things around her, Aegnor ignored what she was doing. He often did let her do whatver she wanted to do and felt like doing, unless of course he had ordered her to do something or forbiden her to do something.

The demon had been searching for a few days now but he still did not have anything really strong to go on, but he did get a clue that he might find something in this area of Imythess, well he was not sure if he would belive that really. But since he had nothing better to do might aswell try and find something here. He arrived to the village a few minutes later, but he stopped before walking into the village itself, his red eyes scanned around and he took in a few deep breathes as he tried to catch some kind of scent. But he did not feel anything familiar, he did noticed the people walking around, and the one on one of the roofs. "Master?" Emma asked and Aegnor turned his eyes towards her. "Yes?" he asked calmly. The girl thought for a moment, then she shook her head. "No nevermind, it was nothing master" the demon frowned ever so slightly, but then he nodded a little and looked back at the village. Then he started to walk again.

Midori was getting bored just sitting on this roof alone. He would soon look for something to do or go home. Though, something did catch his eye. Walking fire, that wasn't something you saw everyday. Though in this crazy world anything was possibled he assumed. Though, what happened was something that he found funny. He giggled like most Fae do when they were playing a trick on someone or something. The flaming female ran right into another Female. Simple accidents could assume anyone easily.

Watching the flames scatter and then reform his laughing had stopped as it wasn't that funny, but he was now curious as he watched them both. He wanted to know more about this Fire, how it took shape. Was it one of those Elementals? What was it doing in this plane and not in that place full of fire and all. It was a mind boggler, he wasn't one that knew too much about the arts of magic, just used it to aid him once in a while.

His shook his head a moment to look at other people's reactions to the situation. Nontheless to what they thought, he would want to have a talk with the fire girl. Maybe start up a conversation with them both. Sliding down from the roof he clung to it and droped a bit and caught onto another ledge a few feet above the ground. He dropped again and corched his legs as he landed on the ground. He stood up and walked over to the two. He kept a foot distance and only watched to see if he would be noticed at all.

Erin was not ready that someone was going to wwalk into her as it happened, you rarely are ready for such events when your in your own dreamworld. She was very close to fall to the ground but at the very last second she regained her balance and took a few deep breathes before she turned her blue eyes to see what had hit her. She frowned ever so slightly as she looked at the stranger, a person made out of fire? Well she had seen things like these before when she visited her father at the wind temple. "Oh it`okey" she said with a friendly voice and moved some of her hair away from the face with a slight gesture of her hand. "No harm done, I´m fine. But better try and look where your running next time." She gave the girl a friendly smile as she said this part,

This was going to be very weird if she did not find anything to say quickly! "You okey then?" she asked calmly, just to have something to say at all, besides she did was a little worried if the lady might have damaged herself, well Erin guessed that this was a lady anyway.

Torcral looked up and grinned in her new form for a moment before contemplating changing back to what she usually used. It didn't matter too much but she might as well have some fun with this if she could. Have fun with everything if she could, thats what she always said anyways. Stepping back to give each other enough room. She was fine, so everything was alright then. Torcral was ok, she wasn't hurt. Not like hitting her like that could truly hurt her, well, it wouldn't hurt a Humy so it wouldn't hurt her. She was fine... she thought. Yeah yeah, she was.

"I'm fine. Yes yes... as long as there wasn't any water I'll surely be fine like... yeah." She said looking around. She looked over the girl again, she was an exact copy though it didn't matter too much, better look at the one that wasn't made out of fire. "Oh, I just noticed. You aren't a Humy. Are you?" She stated after a moment of inspecting the girl. She gave a peeky smile and tilted her head and looked at her a bit more. Nope, not one of those Humies.

When the younger looking boy showed up nearby she only looked at him for a minute. Trying to figure out what to say next. She looked confused for a moment. "Hi!" She blurted out to the green haired boy and also to the women she just ran into. Yay, more people to talk with.

Aegnor completedly ignored the people around him as he walked, he searched around for a inn. It was Emma that became interested with the flaming woman, was she made out of fire?! The little girl looked at her master but it would seem as if he was not really interested in what she was doing. The girl thought for a moment and then she walked away from his side towards the little group of people, she stopped as she was behind Torcral. "Excuse me but are you made of fire?" she suddenly asked with a curious voice and tilted her head to the side as she looked up at the woman.

Aegnor had seen Emma walk away, he did not mind that she did go away to do things she liked a little now and then. He watched her walk towards some strangers, a woman with blue hair, another one with green hair and then a lady that looked like she was made out of fire, my that was something you did not see every day around the world. Not even in the abyss it was not to common to see people made out of fire, and fire was very common there. The dark paladin frowned as he heard the little girls voice when she asked the question. He sighed and then he slowly walked over to them to, he stopped right behind the little girl and placed one of his hands on her head. "Emma, your rude" he commented, his voice was still calm and cold as always, the girl looked up at him and blushed a little. "I´m sorry master" she said lowly.

Midori watched the two for a moment before the Fire girl spoke up in a Hi to him. He was looking at the ground thinking about something at the moment and he turned his attention back to her. It was a simple hi and he would try to think of a way from blurting out with questions at the girl. He would try to make casualy conversation first and for now. If things turned out wrong and the fire, which always seemed easy to anger to him, tried to kill him he would just leave.

He curved his body a bit a with a small smile he made a small wave in an arc that went in front of the lower end of his face. "Hi, nice to meet you both, I guess." He said with the same nurvous smile. Why was he nurvous? He had been around people before. The younger Midori might have been trying to get out, flee? Did he think that a minute ago? He would have to get over it hopefully. He went and walked closer to them and looked at the other girl.

Then some young female showed up and asked a question to the Fire girl before he could. His eyes darted between the three of them as a fourth showed up. This was becoming quite a weird crowd. It was all focusing around the Elemental standing there too. Midori listened carefully to see what she would have to say about the girl's question. He might ask one or two more questions before seeing what he could do with the Elf or Human like female about talking, not exactly looking like either.

Erin listened to the woman as she was talking, it was great that she was okey and Erin could understand that she did not like water very much...she was made out of fire after all. She frowned a little at the thing she said that Erin was not human, it was true of course, mainly because Erin had naturaly a weird color on her hair, but also because it looked like it was moving from an wind that was not there. "Well yeah your right about that, I am not a human" she said with a sweet voice. "I am an wind genasi, half human and half air elemental" she smiled a little as she said this.

She turned her eyes towards where the woman was looking and noticed another stranger she had not seen as he walked over to them. She was a little surprised since it looked like so many people was coming here today. She was just about to say something when another voice was heard and she noticed a little girl standing behind Torcral, she did not look very old and rather cute actually, a moment later a man arrived up behind the girl, Erin found him very...creepy, he was much taler then any of them and there was something weird about his eyes and that gray hair. She was happy when she got an excuse to look back at Midori again and she lady smiled. "Very nice to meet you to sir" she said to him.

Torcral titled her head when listening to the women. A half air elemental? Well that explained why she was able to tell she wasn't Human, signs of another elemental. "Can't say I've met an Air Elemental before... might be fun though!" She stated to the female before turning back to the green haired boy. He was funny looking with his green hair and eyes. She smiled and giggled for a moment.

"Yes yes, nice to meet you too Greeny." Torcral stated with another innocent giggle as the girl came up behind her and asked a question. Getting bored of looking just like the women she bumped into, fire escaped from her and she copied the appearance of Emma and changed her height much down from Erin. "Yes I am young Human girl, yes. And sir, it's no problem really. I no mind" She said looking up to him and noticed she was getting a lot of attention.

"Sooo.... meh, what is everyone doing here on this day?" She said creating flames out of the air and going back to her normal appearance of some female, she thought she would copy the other too in a bit. She was looking like she was thirtteen or so, maybe fourteen. The flames made outlines of clothing and the detail of the flame was still making it look like a normal person, just not colored in and orangy in flame.

Emma as she was just around five years old ignored what the others said for now since she was more interested in this fire woman. The girl was very surprised when the size of the lady changed and she became small like her, Emma quickly jumped in behind Aegnors leg and looked out from behind it with slightly unsure eyes. "So if you are made of fire....is it like....very warm to be made out of it?" she asked with a curious voice and slowly came out from behind her master.

Aegnor listened to what was said and happened with a small interest, he had o real reason to care about any of this...but he did not feel like leaving Emma alone with those people. No something was bound to happen and he did not like that. "If you say so" he replied to her comment that she did not mind, he looked around the area for a moment before he once again looked at the stranger, one by one. These people was odd, and the fire lady most of all, it would seem she she was a fire elemental of some kind....weird.

Midori's attention was constantly swifting now, being a bit paranoid about the people around him being of all different kinds. His mood changed to indifference when he was dubbed 'Greeny' of course. It was pretty sure he was the one being called Greeny due to his eyes and hair color, it was a bit abnormal but he wasn't exactly Human either. The fire elemental would probably continue to call him that, he assumed. He had been called worse but this was a casual conversation and he didn't want to be called something he wasn't.

The other girl looked at him and addressed him with a hi as well. Well, at least no assumed names. He didn't enjoy names that weren't his own, besides Bubbles which Mehea called him and he had just trying to ignore that as best he could... disagreeing with her would lead to either a crying fit or her trying to hurt him. He didn't need that at this moment in his life until he learned how to avoid her in general or somehow get out of the promise he never truly made.

He turned to the girl that said hi to him last and grinned lightly. He wanted to get this across to the person who might listen the best. "You can call me Midori, I guess." He said loud enough for the whole group of people to hear him, not expecting most to care but still to keep them from giving him some kind of nickname. He would wait and see if the little girl, Emma, would ask enough questions so that he only had to listen.

Erin smiled at the woman's words of the air elementals. "Most of them are very nice actually, but they have a very carefree way of seeing things. They are like the wind after all, changes all the time and had little care for what the world around them thinks" she said calmly to her, she looked towards the little girl and watched the entire scene when the woman shrunk and all that, it was pretty weird but Erin did not comment anything right away since they would be seen as very rude to do. She thought it was a little rude to call the man with green hair greeny, but she just frowned a little at this.

Erin turned her attention to the man with green hair and green eyes as he began to talk and presented himself to her. Erin smiled politely and nodded. "Very nice to meet you Midori" she said to him, her voice was friendly and one could really hear that she though it was nice to meet him. After all Erin was kind to everyone around her even if they happened to be evil or not. She looked at him in a thoughtful way and she was thinking about something, he surely was not human with that hair and the eyes was also different from a human....his size was right so he could be an elf but yet he did not have the same kind of ears they had. "Excuse my rudeness sir, but you are not human are you? I can see it from your eyes and the hair. Least not fully human. Sorry about that it was a very rude question."
