| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

H'tes giggled a little. "How did you guess?" he said, jokingly. "I thought I was hiding my hunger so well." And then his friend gave him more food. "Oh, thank you. I have been starving!" And without furthar explanations, H'tes began to much down. Rather quickly, too. One piece after another entered into his mouth, never again to see the light of day. It was actually interesting to see someone with his size and weight eat so much. Where did he store it all, anyway? Washe hiding an extra stomach in that body somewhere? When he finished, he let out a satisfied sigh. "Oh, I am sorry," he said, feeling suddenly embarrased. "I think I ate all your food. Wow, I really was hungry. Is it normal to eat that much?" H'tes always seemed to question what was normal, it seemed. As though he expected himself to be odd but did not yet know how he was odd. H'tes had to think for a moment. "You know," he said. "I don't think us remembering will change us too much. Well, it might change some things. For all I know, locked deep inside me is the knowledge and power of an Archmage or something. But, it's not like it will change our personalities, will it? I mean, I think it would be more like... like... The usses of now would simply learn about the usses of then, rather then be like the usses of then reawakening with the memories of the usses of now. Does that make any sense?" |

Chris smiled at H`tes when he talked. "I would call it a lucky guess really, because you look like you could use something to eat." he replied calmly to him with a friendly smile. The weretiger tilted his head a little to the side as he began to watch the other boy eat from the food, my he was a real eater, Chris was surprised he could eat all that and not burst a bubble. My this really was something you did not see every day alright. Chris blinked a few times when H'tes was done and said that he was sorry. Then the teen shook his head slightly. "No need to be sorry, you are a friend and besides I did say I had more food in the cavern at home so no problem at all." he gave H'tes a friendly grin and then he thought about the question if it was normal. "Well that depends on what you are really I guess....I mean I can eat really much to when I am hungry." he began with a thoughtful voice. "But then again we are not like others now are we? I mean lets face it, Iīm pretty much a half cat and your...I would guess your something Canine." he laid down on the floor and looked up for a few moment before he sat back up again. Chris tilted his head to the side as he listened to the explanation H'tes gave about remembering. "Well you might be right, but then a memorie can also be very much to the personality if it is a strong memory. I do think that a part of our personality is created from the memories we have...or something like that." he made a pause as he thought about what he said. "But then I might also just talk a loot of rubish" a smiled brightly as he said this and then he closed his eyes for a moment. "Iīm afraid you lost me there at the last part of what you said H'tes" |

What he really was, huh? Now there was a good question. H'tes had studied himself enough to know he was not human, at least not fully. The black claws and the fangs were kind of a givaway on that one. But the question was, what was he? There were certainly many possibilities. Canine? Perhaps he was some sort of canine human hybrid of some sort. That seemed plausible. But he remembered the other him in his dream. That one looked so... dark, and a little evil. What was the word he was looking for? Demonic? Yes, that was it. The other him looked so demonic. Especially those eyes. But, he went back to the line of thought on memories. And of course, he had messed up his explanation. "Sorry," he said. "My words are confusing, I guess. But, you could be right but I hope you wouldn't be too different with your memories recovered. You are a very nice friend, you know? I would hate to see that change." |

Chris shook his head. "Itīs okey really, you do not have to be sorry about that." he said calmly and placed one hand on his friends shoulder, he also gave him a friendly smile. "Yeah they where a little confusing alright, but hey much in this world is even more confusing if you ask me what I think, like why people have such a great passion for things like gold and jewels. Sure they are very pretty, but I would rather give a pretty girl a flower then a chain maid out of gold." he laughed a little and scratched himself in the back of the head. "I guess I changed the subject weirdly there, sorry." he did know that the friend had said he did not have to be sorry but hey...he could not help he said it. He tilted his head to the side at the last words and then he grinned a friendly smile that revealed his catlike teeth. "I promise you this H'tes, we will be friend even after my memories are back. I might change but my friends will always be my friends no matter what happens. You all will still be there you know, inside of here" he placed one of his hands on his chest over the heart. "You are a very nice friend to H'tes, I would never want to lose your friendship. I hope you do the same if your memories returns. In fact your the first person around my own age I have as a friend and it is really nice" |

"That you did," said H'tes, but he smiled. "But I would say that is a sound arguement. I mean, things like gold are only really valued because people thinks they are valuable, right? Well, I don't see too many uses for it, so therefore it is not that valuable to me. So, I can agree with you. Even if the subject is a rather random change, but I do that all the time on my own." H'tes laughed a bit. Even in the slightly gloomy part of the forest, in a creepy, abandoned house, they had been able to sustain a friendly atmosphere. It was rather impressive considering the events that had passed by just a moment ago. And H'tes was glad to keep it up for as long as he could, since he had a feeling that when he left his friend alone, Chris would be back to thinking about everything on his mind, which might turn out to be rather depressing. "Well, since you promise," said H'tes. "I promise, too. We will stay friends no matter what memories come back to us." Perhaps if he knew his past more, he would not have made that promise, but he didn't. He was content in the innocense of the present to make this vow for the future, and paid no heed to the darkness of the past. |

Chris smiled H'tes said that things about gold and such, the boy did agree on everything. "Yeah your so right about that, I think the same. I mean what can you do with gold? It looks nice, but it is heavy and you canīt really use it for anything useful. Like you canīt eat it or make tools out of it." he made a pause. "I personaly would want a flower then a gold coin, then I could plant the flower and make it to many more flowers." he laughed as he had said this and then he removed some dust of a part of the floor. Chris looked very happy to H'tesīs words and quickly hugged him. "Thanks H'tes" he said calmly and released the boy from the hug, then he smiled at him. "It feels great to have a friend that has the same problem as me" he made a pause and thought. "You still have the collar thing with your name on it by the way? Can I see it? I promise I will not throw it away or destroy it...I know it is important to you" he suddenly asked him with a curious voice. He had an idea that could be pretty nice. |

"Yeah," said H'tes. He pulled it out of a pocket in his clothes, and there it was. A black strap collar with a silver plate on the front with "H'tes Cetanu Enyar, Mudblood, Property of Lady Darkness" etched on it. "I sill can't figure out how to pronounce my middle name," said H'tes, as he handed it to him. And it was true. He could not figure out how to pronounce his middle name. It could be Ket-an-oo, or it could be Ke-tan-oo, or even Set-an-oo. There were just a lot of possibilities of how it could be pronounced. Still, his first name was hard to decide on, but he found it was fine how itwas usednow, so he would just stick with that one as long as it was all he knew. "Or what mudblood means," he said. That was a much harder one. He had determined it was not to be taken as he litterally had mud for blood, but he still could not tell if there was anything to it. What could 'mudblood' mean? It seemed to be a title, or maybe it was his race. He simply could not really tell. "And this 'Lady Darkness' has not come for me at all," he said, as a final note. Which that was also odd. He had assumed, and felt he was very likely right, that he was some sort of slave before losing his memories. If that was true, he was an escaped slave, and owners were usually very eager to get their property back. So why was there no one after him? He could not tell, but it was always on his mind. |

Chris listened to him and he made sure to nod as he showed he listened, then he accepted the collar and examined it between his fingers. It did not look much to the world, the boy looked at the names and tried to say them inside of his mind. Yeah this was weird alright. "Well it is your name so I guess you can say it any way you feel like saying it" he said with a friendly voice. "But I think that H'tes is enough for. It is a strange name but I like it and I think it suits you. But who am I to talk? I do not even know my real name at all, mine might be even worse then yours to say." a slight grin appeared on his face as he said this. He frowned about the word that stood there, he thought about it for a moment. "Wait....you think it could be something like....a word for....halfblood?" he said with a thoughtful voice and turned the collar in his hands. "I mean you are not a normal human anyway, just like me. So you can be some kind of werewolf, or you might be so that one of your parents was one, or that he was a demon" he had a thoughtful voice as he said this, but he did not in any way find it wrong that his friend would be part demon. He was a friend, and to be honest Chris did not see much difference between lycans and demons. He was happy that the lady darkness had not come for him yet. "That makes me happy really, I promise that if she comes then I will bite her like I did not that girl we just meet. You camwe to help me then I will come to help you" he nodded as he said this and one could see her was serious about what he said. "Slaves are wrong and I will never let them do anything like that to you. Then they would have to take us both....and Faraīre would come save us not long after." |

"Yeah, I guess H'tes is all I need to be," he said, with a nod. "After all, how many people used their middle names all that often anyway?" Besides, at least he had his, where as his friend used one that, for all they knew, was nowhere near his real one. It was good enough just to know he had a name of his own, for H'tes. "Halfblood?" said H'tes, his eyes widening in a revelation. "That is so obvious, how did I not think of it before? Although, I guess that makes Mudblood suppose to be a bad term for me, huh? She must not like the non-human in me, huh?" He thought about it for a bit. So, what was his secondary race? It could be anything, really, including what his friend said. "Well, I think we could fight off anybody she sent," said H'tes with a smile. "Slavery is wrong, and I won't go back to it if it was part of my life before. And I would appreciate if you helped me never go back. Although, it would be good to get my hands on her, maybe I could get some information about myself. One thing Chris said made H'tes wonder something. And, as usual, he had to voice his wonders to his friend. "Who is Fara're?" he asked. |

Chris nodded. "Yeah most people only use there first name, I have no idea why everyone has to have second names and evern third once when they never use them anyway" another thing he found very weird about it all was just that, now that he thought about it that was. He frowned to what H`tes as he said the part about halfblood. He thought for a moment and once again he looked at the collar and back to the friend. "I do not know what to think, but for all I know I would guess it was the fact that you where partly human that she did not like maybe. It is not a very nice word to say but then again people with slaves are never nice to them, and with the name Lady Darkness she is bound to be nasty...not someone I would want to be slave to." he shivered slightly as he said this, the image of a demonic woman appeared in his mind, he shook his head and shivered again. Then he got a serious face. "You got it, I will help you. I will show you where I live and if you ever need my help with anything you can come there" he also thought about a way to actually make it possible for Hītes to contact him anytime he wanted...some magic maybe? Yeah he could ask Faraīre to take him to the academy of magic sometime, he had heard people talk about it but never been there. He tilted his head to the question of Faraīre...he had not told him about her before? "Well just like we found you in the forest she was the one that found me when I woke up, she is really nice to me. She has given me a home, and she feeds me, she even cuddles with me and scratched me behind the ear." he sighed a little as he thought about how nice it was to be scratched behind the ear. "Oh and she is a weretiger just like me, she was the one to teach me to control my transformations. I really want to call her mom....but I am sure she would be mad and throw me out or something If I did that." |

"Me either," he said. "Maybe some people just had the same name and decided to add others to make sure there was no confusion or something like that. But, since I am rather sure no one shares my name, I think I am safe enough to just use H'tes." He smiled at that. It was pleasent to have something unique. "Yeah, I would imagine she probably isn't very nice," he said. What kind of person was named Lady Darkness and kept slaves? Who was this person? He wish he could know that, as much as he also did not really want to know. Who would want to know someone who was likely very, very evil? Well, aside from other evil people? "Oh," said H'tes. Well, it was good Chris had that much to go on. A mother figure? H'tes wished he had something like that. He listened to the concerns of Chris. "Well, you would never know until you try," said H'tes. "Although, not like I would know how she would react, but since she seems to be rather nice to you, I would think she wouldn't mind." |
