Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The small river in front of her was floating as calm as it had ever been...nothing disturbed it´s phase the slightest....not even the wind, just like the time it just kept moving and moving. It was late in the afternoon and close to the night and the sun had just gone down behind the mountains in the distance, from the way things looked it was going to be a pretty calmand gentle night..

Erin had arrived from Cascadia only a few hours ago, at the moment the teacher from the school arrived for the kids she had left. Erin was as always dressed in her blue dress in a color very close to her hair. She did not have anything on her feet today...but she did not mind that since the grass was soft and not so cold...yes there was still some water left from the rain earlier that day, but nothing she could not handle.

The young woman sat down with her back against a large tree, her gaze watched the dark water, it wasmost likely not dar usualy but at night most things turned dark. She was in deep thoughts as so much these past few days. Everything had been such a mess and her bad luck was worse then ever...she did not even dare to go close to the river because of the fear she might slip and fall inside...maybe she even would hit her head....then the chances was pretty large that she would die. But then again maybe that was the only way for her to get rid of the curse? A sigh escaped her lips as she looked down on the ground.

Karula wandered down the river bank. He balanced right on the edge of the water, his arms proped up over his staff which was on his shoulders. His hands hanged down. His eyes were gazing out across the water, some of it was ice though it was a warm day and most of it was gone. Moonlight reflected off of the water and gleamed into his two blood red eyes. He had discarded his excess clothing and only his shirt and pants. He slipped and almost fell in the water, his shoes got wet though. His body stumbled as he caught himself.

He liked the moonlight, it was very peacefull to him. He started to whistle a tune that he had heard, quite the reminisance for him. It turned into a hum as he walked along in thought. It started to come to him more and more each night. He missed her more and more. It annoyed him to want to see her again. He had held the promise for about three years now.

Turning his attention from the river's reflectiveness and the moonlight. He noticed a figure and squited. A girl, he grinned and moved forward and pulled his staff to his side. He stumbled again though and fell into the water. Totally uncool. Karula sat up in the water and stood up, well that was quite annoying. He didn't need to bath and the water was quite cold. He turned his attention back to the girl, she had to have noticed him by now.

One thing can be said about Erin, she was a person who could be very dreamy...that is how she had been at the moment Karula arrived....because of that she was not ready for it when he feel down into the river. The young lady almost flew one metter right up into the air....well she did not but she was very surprised. Her eyes quickly moved towards the palce where she had heard the sound....of course she noticed the stranger....he was pretty hard to really miss. In fact he looked rather stupid all weat and so....but Erin as the gentle kind hearted girl she was did not laugh at his misfortune...she knew all to well what bad luck could do to a person....she knew all to well.

She looked at him for a few seconds as if she did not really understand what had just happened before her....then it looked like she remembered herself. "Are you okey mister?" she asked with a friendly voice. "It looked like a nasty fall." she did not see him very clearly so the girl could not tell what he was, but he looked like a human, and even if he was something else Erin did not see any reason to jump to conclutions to quickly...her work was to help others and not judge them for what they happened to be.

Karula pulled himself out of the water and walked back onto the swore. He was wet from head to toe, quite the annoyance for the vampire. He shook his hair and got water all around him, now only if his clothes would dry that easily. He bent down and picked up the staff he had dropped. The girl, who seemed older, had spoken up by now. He looked up to her, halfway coming up from picking up his staff, his eyes rolled all the way to the top of his sockets to see her from this position.

"Yeah, I'm fine. A bit wet though." Karula said pulling at the lower end of his shirt and squishing the water from it as best as he could, he didn't want to freeze to death, if that was possible for him. He didn't want to experiment with it ether. He gave an odd grin to the girl as he started to rein the water out of his right sleeve.

"Hello Miss, may I be of any service to you on this fine night?" He stated wondering if she would be nice enough to donate some of her blood to him, he almost felt bad for asking every single person he saw. He didn't get too much and had to find someone quite nice, not like he wanted to bite anyone, well unless they wanted him to.

Erin could not help but smile a little at his words, but she also felt a little sorry for him..."Yea I could guess that the water would be rather wet, good thing you did not hit your head when you feel...could have ended with other things then just wet clothes" she calmly moved some hair away from her face as she was talking.

Erin was surprised by the sudden question....this man had just fallen down into the river...his clothes was wet and most likely all his things to. Yes he asked Erin if there was something he could do for her? My that was sweet. "It is very kind of you to ask sir, but I do not realloy need anything. But I can guess your the one in need of help? I could help you with those wet clothes if you want to. She made a pause and then it looked like she remebered something. "Oh how very rude of me to not intreduce myself. My name is Erin Shander. Very nice to meet you mister?" she tilted her head a little to the side as she waited for his reply to the question.

So, the water could be rather wet? That made him smile a little more. Though it was mostly at the other things than just wet clothes. "Yeah, like a bump on the head." He said putting his hand to his head like it actually happened and made a fake pained look. He wasn't worried about drowning to death or anything, more if someone had a wooden stake and were out to kill him.

Karula continued to roll up and squish his other sleeve as she was talking to him. He focused on the task at hand though listening to her. It only made him more interested as she talked to him. She would offer to do something that nice for him? Help anyways, more than he got from most people. It surprised him almost.

He turned and looked at her, seeming unphased by anything she said. Though he took everything in. "Karula Drifher. Quite a nice night to meet you, Erin." He said bowing a little bit. He liked being polite to people when he had the chance to, it often got him more than people mean did. Returning from his quick bow, he looked up to the moon, it was a cresentant shape tonight. "Beautiful moon, isn't it?"

Erin laughed at his words about the bump on the head, well he had some sense of humor then. That was great really, people with humor was often nicer to talk with then people without....no that was wrong, most people where nice to talk to....it was easier to talk to people with humor since they often was quicker to start a conversation.

She nodded slightly at his name, it was a different name but she liked it somehow. Her eyes moved to the sky as he talked about the moon and a slight smile crossed her face as she looked at it. "Yes it is a very gentle night I must say, not to cold either, and the moon looks beautiful to. I have always loved the moon more then the sun. It is more gentle and not so bright. she laughed slightly and then she looked at Karula again. "So Karula...you want me to help you with that water in your clothes? It would be no problem really."

Karula shook his head ridding it of the water that was over his hair. He listened to what Erin said about the moon in reponse. All of that was true, mostly for him too. The sun was too bright and burned him greatly, enough to kill him. Like others of his kind. He gave a toothy grin at the moon before turning back to Erin. He wondered again if she would be kind enough to give some of her blood, though he won't ask her yet. It would seem like too much to ask of her right now.

He smiled very kindly at her offer. "That would be very nice, thank you greatly Erin." The Vampire said while taking his shirt off and held it out for her to take from his hand. He doubted she would dry it while he was wearing it, nor would he give her his pants. He could deal with those being wet and didn't exactly want to undress in front of this women. Karula already had enough to worry about anyways.

"Only if there were more nice people around like you..." He muttered, not exactly talking to her, or himself. Not many people were that nice anymore, they all wanted more and more. Like the more of his kind, the Humans and Vampires. Most wanted more than they could handle. "If you're doing something nice for me... I'll do something for you in return." He said with a smile and he'd do something in return for her... as long as it wasn't psycho. He didn't expect anything like that from her ether.

Erin smiled and accepted the shirt, she examined it for a few seconds. She had not thought he would acctually take the shirt of like that. Well this was not going to be hard. The woman slowly moved her hand softly across the fabric, as she did a sound of blowing wind was heard as the air began to move around her hand. She slowly began to dry the shirt with her storm kindler power to control the wind.

Erin looked at him as he was talking, she smiled slightly at him. "it is nothing dear, I do not need anything in return.com A happy smile and your words of thanks is all I need for this. she said to him, her eyes looked at him for a moment... he was rather cute.. She calmly gave the shirt to him when it was done. "there you go, so anything else you want me to do while i'm in a helping mood. she asked with a friendly smile.

Karula watched curious to see how she would dry it. He wasn't sure how it would be done but expect it to be a bit longer than it had been turning out. She was using magic, so there were people that used it of their own free will nowadays, or still for that matter. Wind was drying it and it wouldn't be too long. Still, the Vampire watched with amazed blood colored eyes. Magic, something he was limited in giving small people cuts. Maybe he should learn some more? What did he need it for anyways? All people used it for nowadays was to fight or simples chores. He didn't do chores anymore and he didn't fight people unless he was defending himself from them.

With her reply to his offer he gave a small laugh. He appreciated that but it didn't put down his offer yet. "Well, hold onto the offer incase you want to use it. Just the way I am, I return favors to people that are nice to me." He said with a shrug and turned around and tilted his head up towards the sky again to look at the moon. When his shirt was finished he took it and quickly pulled it back over his head and torso.

Karula thought at her continued help she offered to him. "Well... there is one thing, though if you don't want to thats fine, a lot of people say no..." He turned back to her, and opened his mouth and pointed at his right fang with his left hand. He closed his mouth unexcitedly the next moment. "If that didn't give it way too much... I've been turned into a vampire and I'm wondering if you'd be willing to donate some of your blood to me..." He said wondering if she would be freaked out by him now or not. He put one of his arms out and waved his hand in a cautious and almost calming manner, himself worrying that he either said too much or too little. "Like I said only if you don't mind! Not going to force you if you don't want too..." He said getting the words out of his mouth quite hastily.

Erin smiled at him and nodded. "I will make sure to remember your offer then" she said with a calm voice as she watched him put on the shirt again, she then looked at the man as he began to talk about that thing he wanted, it seemed like whatever he wanted her to do it was rather special...since he acted in such a weird way. What could it possibly be that he talked about? and why would say say no?

She looked a little surprised when he pointed at his teeth and she noticed that they where pointy and sharp. He was a vampire? Now it all became clear to her right away, she knew what he wanted so she had a few seconds to think about the matter before he asked her right out. "Yeah I understood what you wanted when you showed the fangs Karula." she replied to him and moved a lock of hair away from her eyes with a slight gesture. "Well I said I would do what I could to help so I guess I can do this to. No worries, either way it just much more polite to actually ask before taking the blood. You can have some blood from me."she tilted her head to the side..."So how are you going to do this then? Are you going to bite me or something?"

Karula stood there and nodded at everything she said, nodding only slightly each sentence and stay silent. He was glad someone wasn't scared away by him. He liked it better when he got to know someone first, they didn't judge him right away then, or Erin was just a nice enough person to not be afraid or disgusted by him. He grinned like a happy child when she said she would let him. He wasn't that blood thirsty right now but might as well get some before he went back into the town where people wouldn't care about him and watched him starve to death.

His right hand dug into his pocket at her question, his eyes focused on his pocket as he went from that one to his back pocket. His right hand held up his index finger calmly telling Erin to hold on a second. He pulled out a small blood stained viel from one of his pockets. He filled this up with extra when he could if he could. The viel could hold a lot despite how big it looked. He turned back to her and looked at her with careful eyes trying to make it not look like too much.

"I won't bite you unless you want me to, do you have something to cut yourself with? Just on the arm or wherever you feel comfortable. Also, before I just do it, can I fill this up too so I don't have to ask someone for a while?" He said politely and looked at her inspecting her body at the part about wherever she was comfortable, and looked at her eyes and shook the viel lightly indicating that was what he was talking about.

Erin calmly watched Karula as he was doing whatver he was doing. She tilted her head a little to the side as she looked at him, he was rather different from other vampires she meet before, a little like Tom was actually. She examined the viel as he picked it out. Erin was quick to understand what he wanted to do with it.

The lady listened to his words as he was talking. "Well I have nothing against if you want to bite me, I have been biten before...even if that time It was not very much I could do about it. I was attacked by a vampire lord in Taras." she moved one hand though her long hair and then she thought about if she had something to cut herself with or not. "I only have my swords" as she said this she picked out the beautiful white sword and showed it to him, it looked like it was made out of pure snow and there was snow flakes on the handle, but it was a very powerful weapon for a skilled user....Erin was not skilled at all. But she liked them anyway.
Erin nodded slightly. "Sure you can fill it if you want to do that first...I thought you might want that actually"
