| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Lying face against the grass, the swordsman felt hisnose burning a bit. A thick smoke was fillingthe air, as it was awakening the man up.He rose on his knees and saw that he was bleeding. He placed his fingers on his face, and touched towards the wound. He was panicking a bit even tough only surprised could be read on his face. He had lost one of his eyes. But what just happened? He grabbed his head between his hands and tried to remember as hard as he could. But nothing, only his injuries were answering to him. His brown eye shifted towards the little mansion and he wondered, was there other victims? Any other relatives of his? He saw in front glittering thanks to the flames of the burning house, a pair of sunglasses. Even with his eyes, he set them on. He was alone staring at the event in front of him, under the night sky. "Well, seems that Lord Traydan was right....Tough to kill ol'man."Garland turned around and stared at the young thug standing on the rocky wall of the entrance to the domain. The name was familiar, but he did not knew who it was."You better talk before you suffer."The thug stopped plaing with his longsword and walked slowly to the swordmaster."Huh? Look at'choo, you bleeding, you lost an eye. And ME? I would be the one to suffer? Nah, don't think so...." The young thug charged at the swordmaster and stabbed. Edmond brougth his hands to the wound as the blade entered. The bandit wanted to take his weapon out but, it seemed stuck so he let it go thinking he would get it once the old man was dead. Garland kneeled for a second and his eyes sparkled with more intensity."You fool, die already!"Garland slowly stood up and showed that the sword had passed under his armpet. and got the sword in his hands, but not without injuries. The blade was covered with the blood of the swordmaster, the bandit was freaking out. "Y-you...."The man ran off and Garland turned back. to what seems to be his home. He would need to need to find this Traydan. For now he would stay there until the fire fades away.... |

Erin had just arrived to the village, she was there to buy a few things to the guild plans she had planed...the garden was going to be very great...she just needed to focus on that now and not think about other things. She moved her gaze up and suddenly she noticed smoke...was something burning? She dropped her basket and quickly made her way towards the source of the smoke. The healer arrived a few moment later just as the bandit ran away into the other direction. Erin stood there frozen for a split second...then she noticed Garland...he was wounded. She slowly walked up to him..she was not sure if he would be hostile or not. When she came closer she could see all the wounds and the blood and everything. "Excuse me mister?...It looks like you could use some healing......need some help?" as she came closer something odd happened...her magic aura slowly began to heal the wounds Garland had...it was nothing quick but it was possible to see it with the naked eye anyway. Erin was not aware of this power of hers yet...she calmly waited for the man to react and reply to her. |

Garland was trying so hard to remember. Perhaps the eye wasnot the only wound he had, perhaps the head ache was given by a powerful blow. So powerful that it affected the brain. Memory loss...As he turned around he saw this little girl staring at him, and his wounds."...Thanks."He simply said. The man was no fool, he might be tough enough to endure this pain but to go with them, untaken cared of, it would be quite dangerous, like things were not already. He did not knew how much this lord had as followers but he surely was not alone with this little fella of earlier. He sat as this girl would heal him. He try to look within her soul, but he could not find anything dangerous, she was honset and was perhaps as innocent as she looked."Say, Girl, what's yor name, how did you end up here?" |

Since he said thanks Erin took that as a yes, the girl slowly walked closer to him. When she was right beside him she placed one hand over one of his wound that had not healed yet...her hand began to glow and a war feeling spread around the wound...it did not hurt...more like a tickling feeling. She did not use her most powerful healing since these wound was not as dangerous as others she had seen....normal heal would most likely do the trick pretty well. She looked up at the man as he began to talk..but she continued to heal him. Erin smiled slightly in a friendly way. "My name is Erin Shander" she replied to what he asked. "I came here because I was worried someone might have been wounded, I saw the smoke and so I just assumed someone had to be in danger." her eyes looked at the wound...these was not from the fire of the house...it was from other weapons...she did know that much about it. "and what is your name then mister?" she asked him as she moved her hand to the next wound. |

The swordmaster let the girl do her healing spell. The glow was nice to feel, it was warm. After she was done, he touched his wounded eye. No, there it was but, useless now. It looked curse perhaps? Or was it such a dangerous wound? He stood up and placed the longsword at his belt. Over his sunglasses, his remaining eyes was looking at the spellcaster. "Is that so, lil'Erin... Suddenly, he got inmind the thugs of earlier. If that man was getting back with reinforcements this girl might end up injured and that he would not accept it. If there was dead ones already, and him who got injured, it was plainly enough for tonight."I was about to leave anyway, you should do the same...."He walked passed the gates and looked at an insigna that seemed to be the mansons, perhaps the emblem of his family. He stopped when the girl asked about his name."The name's....Garland, Edmond Garland."Amazingly, it was at the moment that she asked about it that the old man remembered. A slight grin appeared o his face behind the cloak. A sparkle of light in darkness. |

Erin frowned when he called her little...but she did not say anything...after all he was bigger then her to the words was not at all false. The girl followed him as he began to walk away...since he had been wounded by blades she would think that someone must have done them...she did not want to be left when they came back again. She smiled at him when he told his name. "Very nice to meet you Sir Garland" she said to him and stopped as he did, she noticed that he was smiling...did he think of something funny?. "Is something wrong sir Garland?" she asked him carefully... |

The man turned around and shook his head."No, everything is fine...I'm just happy to be alive...He went back to walk in the streets. "It's been nice to meet you lil'Erin." He went back in the streets not wondering if the young woman was following him. "Now now, your in top shape are we?"Garland recognized the voice, the thug of ealier."You'll pay for what you did!Edmond looked around and more mens came out of the shadows."All i did was taking your sword and you ran off."The men around laughed and giggled at the mid-boss."Oh, CUT THE CRAP! Get this old man, lord Traydan wants him dead once and for all!" The bandits charged at him yelled. The swordmaster made the tip of his sword touched the ground. Now it was time for a fair fight. |

Erin smiled at him...she continued to walk by his side since she was after all also going the same way as he was...might aswell have some company on the way. She stopped when she heard the voice and turned her eyes towards the source...she noticed the man, then the other men coming out around them. She did not like the look and sound of this really. She looked at Garland then at the man...she did not have to guess that these men wanted to kill Garland and they where most likely the once behind the fire at the house. Erin did not really have much in the ways of firepower...but the sky above them became darker as she summoned a storm....just in case she was forced to have to use her wind to harm the men... |

Knowing that the girl at his side might be injured, Garland lowered under a slash coming for his neck, grabbed the healer by her neck and threw her out of the commotion. "She has nothing to do with it."The bandits did not care about Erin and started to attack frenzily. It was quite quick, the few things could only see was some of the assaulters getting pushed, knocked down or killed. It was merely a rain of blood falling on the stones of the streets. The sound was thunderous steel clashing together, flesh being cutted in, bones being broken. Finally after a few moments the bunch of man started to flee. Without a word Garland slashed on the ground on a fallen sword and it few directly in the backof one of those thugs. The swordmaster simply was walking crippling to him, a bit more injured that he was before. He was old but solid. Those of who had heard of him in the past knew. |

Erin was not ready that Garland woudl do what he did and when he threw her out from the commotion she landed on the ground and she had to calm herself down for a few seconds before she could move...then she slowly saw up and placed a hand to her forehead...he did not have to go and do it like that now did he? Her gaze moved back and she saw the battle raging...she quickly looked away...so much unneded battles and blood. The girl had rarely seen so much in her life....she did not say anything and just watched everything with large eyes....she blinked with her eyes for a few moment when everything seemed to be over...then she slowly began to stand up from the ground...her legs was shaking slightly....but she took a deeo breath and things stopped to shake. She had never heard of this man before but he was some fighter alright....but a little to much blood for her taste...she was used to heal wounds...not make them. |

The injured thug was crawling away from Garland. Of course, crawling was not faster then walking. At the moment he had the blade under the throat, the criminal was frozen in fear. "Who sent you?"Simply said the old man. The criminal looked at him, fearing."Traydan...Lord Traydan wants your corpse...." Garland set his longsword further into the flesh, dangerously."Tell me more."With wide eyes under the pain the man swore and took a deep breath out of panic."He is...hiding in Balefire...That's pretty much all i know... I SWEAR!!"Edmond said nothing and turned around. No need of more wothless and senseless killing. He gave a quick look at Erin and saw that she was not used to violence. Was it by nature that the swordmaster was not caring about blood, and killing? It seems like it....Else he did not have the memory for it. For him it was so natural to weild a sword."Are you okay?" |

Erin watched Garland as he was talking to the man, the name he said was not familiar to her at all...but it did not sound like a very nice person at all if he wanted someone killed. She was glad that the man did not kill the thug after he had gotten the information....then he was not just a killing machine. Good As Garland looked at her and asked if she was okey Erin nodded slightly as a reply to his question. "I´m okey....I was just a little surprised...that´s all" she said with a weak smile. "You think we should tell the guards to take in that man?" he gaze moved to the thug on the ground....to get into prison was better then death after all. |

Garland shook his head and went back walking towards the exit of the town. "No, his fate his in his own hands. The decisions his is. Even if he gets free, he won't do a thing without thinking."He was not worried anymore. He had a new destination: Balefire. He did not knew why, he had a bad feeling about this. Why this traydan? Why all these men? Why did they attacked his home? What did the swordmaster to deserves such a fate? What was the secret behind it all? He had to discover. Discover his past. Until he finally realizes who he is."I'm going to Balefire. If you want to come, you will be in danger as you saw earlier. Wanna follow?" |

Erin listened to what Garland said...she looked at the man and then at the Thug...and then back at Garland again...she nodded slightly but she did not say anything to what he said. She slowly began to brush some dust of her clothes....she looked up when Garland began to talk again...his words surprised her much...it was as if he wanted her to come but did not want to force her...Erin thought about it for a moment...this man was most likely going to be up against something powerful... Garland was most likely going to be wounded to. She took a deep breath and then she nodded at him. "If you will let me I would like to go with you to Balefire" she said with a careful voice. "After have seen this I do not think I could sleep very well if I do not go" |
