Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Riven had done it plenty of time before when he had to escort the king and now this. A Low end life as a drunk past hero brought him to delivering a healer to their ruins of Taras. Riven was little afraid if attacked but rather bummed that the royal family kept ordering him around as if he were a pawn to deliver people that needed escorts from one place to another. Riven in the past few weeks had been a delivery man of women and men that needed protection getting some where about the ruthless lands of Imythess. Riven's tarnished hard steel chest plate rested on his shoulders as he stood strong and short. His black bear long and rough as it hung past his neck. His blue static eyes glistened as if lightning clashed in his eyes. He had his double bladed axe perfectly latched to his back and his normal axe at his side.

Looking up at the sky Riven lightly mumbled. "Great rain, just what I need and I can't drink on this job." Riven said with a smug look. Entering the village the town center was easier then last time the merchants had dispersed and left the town. It was a little busy but still calmer then previous days. Riven opened his mouth with a light yawn he had been walking ever since the mountainous north, where his ancestors resided. Riven lightly shook his head a a drop of water slammed onto his tarnished armor. The water spit at Riven's face as he wiped it away from his eyes. The another droplet as it soaked into the ground. Riven reaching the well in the middle of the village looked at the inn watching others enjoy the smooth ale that he wasn't allowed to drink. He grunted as he waited for the helaer to present himself...

Tracyn stepped out into the rain from the home he had been staying in for the past few days. Its owners had gladly accepted him in as he was working on tending to their daughter’s sickness. She had recovered fully recently and Tracyn decided he should go towards the refugee camp by Taras. Conditions there couldn’t be very good and there would surely be people in need. So since nobody else in the village overly needed of him anymore he packed his things and arranged for an escort towards Taras. The only reason why he had an escort was because Tracyn was a pacifist and thus would easy prey for bandits. While he didn’t carry much money as he never had much at any time; for payment he usually only requested room and board along with a meager amount for essentials and this and that.

The healer looked around for his escort and mentally corrected himself when he realized he had been searching among the heads of humans. It was in fact a dwarf that would aid him, so he turned his eyes down towards the ground and continued searching. There he was, by the well. Tracyn smiled and walked towards him, “You must be Riven Black? My escort to the Taras Camp?” He crouched down and looked at him from eye level. The dwarf did look imposing, perhaps his presence alone would keep bandits at bay.

Riven leaned against the well as he slightly caught himself before falling in. He lightly stood up as a tall human went by kicking dust up onto his chest and into his beard. A little sand patch formed about his beard as he grunted once more wiping it off. "Blasted tall folks." Riven waited as he continued to watch the ale get gulped down by those in the nearby tavern. His black bear now swaying in the light chill of the wind. The he heard it, the voice of his new companion for the long trip to Taras. Riven looked him over just before he bent down.

"Whaddya' looking at! I am not blind." Riven annoyed at the fact the healer bent down to his eye level as if he needed a sense of being noticed. Riven cared less if people knew him or not, let alone acknowledge him like a kid. Juts cause he was short didn't mean you had to remind him of it! Riven looking to the healer spoke, "Sorry, just a little mad." Riven stretching his hand out with a light grin. "Riven Black, t your service Mr." Riven paused as he waited for the healer to give him his name. Riven waited to meet hands with hiom as he fixed his tarnished armor.

Tracyn frowned; he hadn’t figured the dwarf would be offended. The healer had simply tried being polite because surely only being looked down upon most of the time got annoying. Although he took the hint and stood up Tracyn still didn’t understand it very well. Then again, he didn’t understand most things he was presented with anyways. It was really only healing that he understood very well, and thus was an enjoyable profession although for other reasons as well. He smiled understandingly, “Everyone is entitled to be mad now and again.”

The rain didn’t bother Tracyn, and in some ways he enjoyed it. The healer looked up to the sky lightly and let the raindrops patter around for a moment before responding with newfound contentment. “I’m Tracyn.” He shook the dwarf’s hand and smiled. Then he turned and looked towards the road that would take them to Taras. “I suppose we should get going then?” He grabbed his bag and put it on his back before looking back to the dwarf. “I just hope we don’t have to deal with any bandits. Not like that’s going to happen.” He laughed slightly, “If you don’t mind I’ll try to talk them out of it though I’m not sure they’ll listen.”
