| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Fara're ducked a sword as one of the assassins charged in for an attack. "Damn..." she muttered. "Silver...why did it have to be silver." As the sword came down again she reach up and grabbed the assassin's arm. He struggled against he tight grip, but it was no match for her tiger strength. She pulled his arm down and she brough up her knee. Her knee hit him right on the elbow and a loud snap could be heard. The assassin let out a scream as he dropped his sword to the ground. He fell down craddeling his now broken arm, it was highly unlikely he would be getting back into the fight. Well...now they had someone to interogate once this was over. "I'll leave the rest of the goons to you guys," she said. With that she bolted towards the one who was obviously the leader. If she could take him out then his minions would likely flee. The lackys never knew what to do without their leader. As she drew close she slowed just a little. She had no idea how skilled this man was and did not want to rush in like a fool. Best to see what he could do before she tried to attack him. |

"Magic, had to be magic"Nimohthar was grumbling this. He had a peculiar distaste of magic because of his upbringing. Partially out of rage in his given situation he decides to start making attacks to permanently damage the goons arms by cutting them off so they could never use it again. Nimohtar was in a very sour mood. One the group he was helping was using massive amounts of magic. Two The assailants were starting to use silver weapons which was lethal towards him because he was a were tiger. "Can someone please answer my question." Nimohtar asked the mage in somewhat a sour note. Nimohtar was now wishing he never walked into this fight and was attacking to damage their dominant hand so they would not be as threading with their silver weapon. |

Séregon quickly smashed the remaining two who had come his direction smashing their skulls togeather before they knew who they were fighting. Too distracted by escaping death by a Kaess' fire ball. He moved quickly over grabing his sword and his shield. "Damn it nobody attack that guy. Until we are all ...... " The leader looking at this laughed a deep unearthly laugh that sent shivers down all who were near by. His laugh seemed to cause convultions in the assasins who remained alive and with a wave of his hands they died. "A wonderful show and it seems that this game is yours. I am just a watcher of this event, but my master will suffer your existence a bit longer. Mabey you will find more clues for what he wants. Such usefull things ignornant mortals can be." Andras noticed a small flask had rolled out of one of the assains pouches on death. If he inspects it he may identify it as an antitdote. Flames seem to curl around the mans blade. The flames apeared to be the color of blood and dripped from it seeming to burn with out fuel on the ground. "However, my blade wants to have a little snack first." The blood from the assasins starts to move towards his blade which seemed to absorb it becoming darker as it did. Any atempt to stop him fails, his sword moving faster than should have been possible for any claymore. No wounds are given, except for slight burns that give a sickening feeling that was just wrong on some level that couldn't be explained. "Oh forget it." Séregon had charged in first unsheating his blade, but had been blocked and sent flying into a tree with a burn across his face. Séregon cursing before going unconcious at the moment of impact. |

Kaess was stuned for a few moments at how fast the leader delt with Séregon. He was even more shocked at how little this man or thing considered the life of it's men. He tried launching a fireball at the man when others weren't near in combat only to see that it barely had any effect on the man stading there. "Shoot how are we supposed to stand up to something like that." He then remembered the other mage who had appeared. Mabey that guy had some power, but not the knowledge of how to weave a spell yet. He could defently sculpt spells so mabey they could cast something togeather. Kaess flew down a few moments latter landing near Andras. "How much power do you have, you know never mind, do you think you can boost my spell with your magic?" Waits for a moment starting to prepare his spell as the energies build and his draconic blood boils with power, creating another stronger fire ball to use at the right moment. "It won't be easy, since I am fairly sure yours is a different sort of magic from mine, but hey it is better than nothing right." |

Andras watched the battle, his vision returning to focus as the excruciating pain in his arm gave way to numbness. He feared for his compatriots when he saw the silver weapons his enemies drew, but their speed and reflexes prevented the weres from taking serious damage. In response to the tiger's question he exclaimed "Big fight. Highly trained solders, with poisoned weapons. Very sinister!" As the white tiger cut down one of the soldiers a glinting object rolled out onto the ground. Summoning all the strength he had Andras crawled over to investigate, as he began examining the vial the head assassin's laugh caused the poisoned wound to twinge painfully, Andras nearly dropped the vial but caught it before it hit the ground. "Whew, that could have ended badly," he remarked. Thanking his lucky stars he had learned a rudimentary level of alchemy Andras took stock of the potion. "Judging by the quality of this vial and the appearance of this potion it appears to be an antidote," the mage noted as he wafted scent from the vial to his face "*cough* very powerful antidote" he put a few drops of the antidote onto his wound as he unblocked his magic. The arm tingled as feeling returned but the antidote seemed to have taken effect. Transfixed as he notices the blood ritual Andras didn't notice the draconian land near him and only caught something about using his magic to boost the draconian's spell. Considering a moment the mage nods an affirmative he had performed a similar tactic with his master before. Taking up his wand he called on his available mana and began slowly driving it into the fireball, increasing the rate when he found the rhythm of the spell. |

Fara're let out a curse as Seregon got thrown and went unconsious. "Great...can't trust a mutt to do anything right," she said. But the man's sword put her on edge. She got the feeling she did not want to be hit by that thing. A smirk crossed her face as she circle around him, making sure she was out of his striking range. She made a motion like she was going to lunge in. But instead she pulled down the hood of her cloak. The moment she did that she dissapeared from site. Invisability did have some major advantages. Once she was invisable she then silently activated her boot's magic as well. Now she was invisable and flying through the air. She really hope this guy could not detect invisable enemies. She waited a moment to see if it seemed like he could still see her. Then dove into kick aimed for his head. |

Nimohtar was getting more worried by the moment. He did not know what to do. There was many things he had to be worried about. He had to worry about all the magic that was around him. Also he had to worry about the devil with his giant flaming sword. "Curses! What in the world did I get myself involved in. Why do I keep finding myself in these annoying circumstances." Nimohtar announced this loudly clearly annoyed. First he had to get himself away from the mage and the large spell he seemed to be producing. He is now running toward the forest away from any massive attack. He was now cursing the fact how so many people were using magic. One that suddenly disappeard. Others that kept casting magic. He was angry about the large fireball spell that keeps growing. "What in the nine hells is going on! Can someone tell me what is going on here. I've been waitng for answer for too long now." Nimohtar is now away from any attack that seems to be the major attacks that seems to be occuring. |

The man caught Far're's attack on his blade flames licking at her from the blade. "Nice try, but tricks that simple won't work on me. Been around too long." He then flicks the blade sending her towards Nimohtar as a distraction and then moves to block Nimohtar's escape. Far're stops just about in front of Nimohtar. He didn't like people escaping especialy those he was playing with. "The Nine Hells you say why that is my home. Want to vist, I can arange that." The man's eyes glowed red and his skin was now ashen black. Séregon groaned as he opened his eyes. The world was blury and he couldn't make out much except for some shouting. He tried to get up and stumbled as he realized that he had several broken bones. He thought, 'It is at times like this I really wish I knew more about healling' He tried to look around again, but he still couldn't make much out. He did find his sword and griped it ready to slash out at the enemy if they decided to finish him off. "What a great day" He mumbles to himself. |

Kaess was impressed with the mage beside him. He had picked up the spell quickly and was matching to flow of magic nicely. "Oh great an actual creature from hell, well better make sure this one poweful spell to affect something like that. You holding up alright there?" He continued to put more power into the spell. He hadn't pushed a spell this far before and it was possible it could become unstable if he kept pushing it, but then he felt he didn't have much choice. The fireball was now very large and was glowing brightly. The heat would probably have him sweating if he didn't have his gold dragon heritage, which shielded him some. 'Just a bit more and the right time.' He watched carefully sure there would be a chance to use the spell soon. |

Andras was sweating profusely. "I'm almost at my limit here, we need to cast this." He began to dial back the rate he added mana to the spell in order to better concentrate on holding it in shape. As he watched the golden draconian casting he took note of how the magic was flowing making connections to his studies of magic missile. "If you pick the time and the direction I can help send this off" Andras had read about demons as a boy but the books in the library always vague on the details, only telling of their cruelty and the awesome powers most demons bring to bear. Unfortunately holy magics were always a weak area for him. |

Fara're was surprised when he threw her aside. So he could see through invisability. She was thankful she had the boots of flying though. As instead of colliding into Nimahtor she just came to a stop midair right in from of him. She smirked, wondering what his response would be if he could actually see her. She pulled off the hood of her cloak and came back into sight. Keeping the thing on was not going to do her any good. She then landed back on the ground next to the other weretiger. Her golden eyes looked over to the two mages. "Get that spell off and quickly!" she yelled. The sooner they got it off the sooner they could end the battle. There was no way she was running back in to fight this guy when they were going to be blasting of a large spell. She was not stupid enough to get caught in the blast. |

Nimohtar was extremely surprised by the sudden appearance of Fara're. He then shouted "Where did you come from and someone please tell me WHAT IN THE NINE HELLS IS GOING ON?" Nimohtar who would ordinarily be very angry at what was going on with the massive amount of magic being used was not so angry but more confused. Ordinarily he probably would have charged the demon but with the massive spell that was about to be cast he wanted to avoid that he was not so stupid that he would allow himself to be caught between both a powerful spell and a powerful demon. Nimohtar now had stopped running because he believed he was safe at the moment. What he really wanted was some answers. He was confused thoroughly on what was really going on. He had just entered what seemed to be a massive battle and was now in the middle of it without a clue what either side was fighting over. He only knew the one female weretiger in the group and she seemed to be in no mood to answer any questions. Nimohtar knew better than demanding answers directly to a female when they are already angry or in a bad mood which he thought she was in right now. |

"Alright let yourself go I will fire it. I tend to be a bit explosive at the end of a large spell." As soon as the young mage had backed out of the spell. Kaess felt one last burst of draconic energy as he fired the spell. The spell leaving the casters sounded like a dragon's roar. His blood was beyond bolling with the arcane energies caused in the final burst. "Argg .... jeez that hurts." He looked drained of power and leaned against the first tree near by to get stable again. Slowly calming himself with breathing techniques to slow his ragged breathing he looked at the affter effect of the spell and then cursed out loud as he saw the target had survived the spell. |

The fireball sent at the creature exploded, flatening near by shubery, and damaging several trees but it didn't light anything else on fire. The explosion was blindingly bright. The man or creature seemed surprised by the power of the spell and started to move, but too late it hit him dead on. The man cursed as the explosion blocked him from view. When he was visible again the man didn't seem to be too damaged from apearance, but a few minutes of inspection into his actions showed that much damage had been delt. "I see the pawns are full of surprises this time. I shall not be playing next time little mortals so don't disapoint me. I expect a good fight from pawns so skilled." The man slamed his sword into the ground and he disapeared from sight. Séregon still sat in the same spot too disoriented to tell friend from foe. The first person to aproach him got a refelxive sword slash flashing towards them. The blow was clumsy, but probably unexpected. "Ughhh....Geez my head hurts." |

Kyzarin heard the sounds of combat in the distance. Sounds like something's going on. I think I'll go see what it is. Someone might be in trouble. He made his way toward the lake. As he went, he continued hearing the yells and screams and other noises of combat. He took his bow in hand, pulling an arrow out of his quiver. He located the source of the sounds. He kept himself hidden in the brush, ready to fire. He immediately noticed the massive spell about to be cast. I better back off a bit, I might get injured otherwise. He backed up what seemed to be a safe distance, and not a moment too soon. The fireball's explosion smashed the bush he had been hiding behind and the force nearly knocked him off his feet. He noticed that the man that had been hit was not dead and didn't even appear injured. He soon noticed from his actions that the man had been injured by the spell. The man then disappeared. After waiting a moment, Kyzarin walked into the open and asked, "What in Imythess just happened here?" Now he noticed the bodies of the other bandits lying around. "It looks like you just got yourselves ambushed. What can be so valuable as to attract such powerful creatures? Perhaps I can be of assistance. You," he said, pointing at Seregon, "It looks like you're not feeling too well. You want me to try to heal that?" |
