| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The wind caught the crocodile's underside and tossed her back partially into the water, but it didn't serve to deter the creature. The creature quickly found her bearing and charged towards Erin on all fours. It would take more than wind alone to stop the croc this time, after all it was much harder for wind to have an effect when the creature was on the ground and not lunging through the air. The large reptile opened her mouth as she neared her prey, hoping that this time she would be able to catch a juicy limp in it. Vernon by no means had told the residents of the marsh to play nicely, though most were smart enough not to kill too quickly. A small group of squirrel like creatures had gathered in the branches above Erin. Eagerly they awaited their chance to join in against the genasai. They chattered loudly above her, squabbling over who got which part of her. Vernon would have to return soon to make sure they didn't more than she could live without. Thankfully the herb was nearby which made it much easier to kill to birds with one stone. |

Now Erin started to be afraid....and as such when she was afraid her powers over wind often happened to go rather crazy. The wind around her began to moved quickly and her eys watched the reptile as it began to charge towards her. "Stay away!!" she screamed out and that releaed all the wind energy that had gathered around her in all directions, sending objects flying away and making a closeby tree fall down into the water of the marsh. Erin then moved away once again and this time she climbed onto a large boulder. Because she knew that a crocodile could never reach her on such a high place with those short legs. They where much bound to hunt close to the ground and up here she did feel safer then down there. Erin sighed and moved some hair away from her face....she was really scared and now she wanted Harvar to return....she did not want to have to use her swords....manily because she did not like to use them but also because she was not very good with them. Oh what was she going to do....she noticed that it had been a close call there since there was a large part of the skirt of her dress ruined. Well it did not get her leg and that was good. |

(don't you have to conjure the beginnings of a storm before using other Stormchanter abilites XD) The crocodile pressed forward, hardly hindered by the wind. The powerful jaws clamped down upon her dress, though to her disappointment she did not also grab of a piece of the woman's leg. The large bit of cloth that had ripped instead lacked taste and substance, making the crocodile all the more furious at her prey. Unfortunately the walking meal had leapt to the safety of a large rock. She couldn't get away from there, it was only a matter of waiting till she tried to flee and crocodiles were experts on waiting. The musfa found the time for their waiting had come to and end. One by one they jumped down upon Erin with sharp claws ready to grab hold of her clothes and flesh. They would avoid anything vital, as they bleed their prey slowly as they scrambled around biting and clawing. Vernon was annoyed when he heard the whistling of wind which should not be so strong today. Something snapped, cracked and fell in the water. Perhaps he should a good bit longer so the meddling little gensai could get the pain she deserved. |

((I have always since day 1 used the thing to control wind without the storm part since others have done so to. )) Erin sighed for a few seconds before the animals jumped down on her, she was not ready for it at all and let out a small scream. She closed her eyes, she felt the pain as the animals began to scratch her body, but it was only wounds and nothing she could not handle after. But she was afraid alright, what had she done to make all animals go grazy like this. No she had to stay strong....the others counted on her to do this, she had to do this. She opened her eyes and watched the creatures dig into her flesh. "Stop it" she said suddenly with a slow voice, as she did her spell calm emotions came into action, she had no idea why these animals acted like this but it was clear that something made them act in a weird way or something. She was not sure if her magic would work, but she did not want to have to hurt anyone or anything, that was against her nature to do. |

(They did it wrong, and you don't need to get in trouble for following them. You can suggest the PrC be changed if youdon't like the idea of...kindling storms to use your abilites XD)The twang of a crossbow followed her voice. The bolt zipped through the air and into the rock Erin stood upon. The musfa lept off of her and to the ground, but they did not retreat further. "Hurry, we've got to get out of here!" Vernon exclaimed as he motioned for her to come his way with his free hand. He'd acquired the herb that would ensure Erin's friend did not divert his path to the grave, now it was just a matter of getting the dimwitted healer to give the man his herb instead of the intended cure. Such a pity she had to be alive to do that. The least Vernon could do though was ensure that she was so scared of her wits by their exit that she wouldn't even dream of entering the marsh in her nightmares. Vernon reloaded his crossbow as he began to move backwards. Amusing. He was going to manage to convince her that the only thing keeping her alive was his crossbow. Before she was given much opportunity to follow Vernon's advice, a low growl carried through the air. A hulking wolf was headed Erin's way with strange foam all over it's mouth and dripping to the ground. Rabid was very good at inspiring other to run their fastest. (*jedi waves* This post did just take a month to materialize) |
