| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

“I-I-I earned it?” she answered nervously, obviously uncomfortable answering his question. She then snatched the coin from Buan and rose to her feet. “I-It’s mine! My-My dad gave it to me because I earned it! Why are you questioning me?!” Her eyes narrowed angrily and she pouted. Buan let out a sigh, his suspicions were correct. It saddened him to see such a little girl resort to such a dishonest means to survive. Were she his little girl, he would probably punish her and have a long talk with her. However, she was not his. His mask's expression turned even sadder as he thought about his own daughter, and about how she was now a statue sitting in a cave... (Buan had hidden his family in a cave after they were turned to stone.) Buan, wished he could set this girl straight, but it was not his business. She was not his child, it would not be right for him to interefere. He sat stayed there in a kneeling position for a few seconds, his head bowed, as he thought the current situation over. "I see, well then, be very carefull with all that then. I would not want you to get into trouble..." Buan finally said in a low tone. He rose from his kneeling position slowly. |

"I see, well then, be very carefull with all that then. I would not want you to get into trouble..." Cassiel’s eyes widened. He knew and yet, instead of turning her in or taking it away from her like most other adults had done, he had wished her luck. He didn’t want her to get in trouble and he wanted her to be safe! Cassiel stared at him, absolutely incredulous at the fact he was so different from the others. Why wasn’t he judging her or making fun or her, or even reprimanding her? “You really are weird,” she said breathlessly. “But… thank you.” Her pout melted into a look of gratitude and she managed a smile. Cassiel grabbed hold of Buan’s hand and proceeded to walk with him toward the inn, not going to ask why he was so different in case he changed him mind. “Where are you going to go after here?” she asked, looking up at him. “After Kellen, I mean. You can’t just wander for the rest of your life.” |

“You really are weird,” she said breathlessly. “But… thank you.” Her pout melted into a look of gratitude and she managed a smile. Cass grabbed hold of Buan’s hand and proceeded to walk with him toward the inn. “Where are you going to go after here?” she asked, looking up at him. “After Kellen, I mean. You can’t just wander for the rest of your life.” "Oh, I think I will head to Norwood Forest..." Buan was not sure if thats where he would actually be going, but he did need to give the girl an answer. "I hope that I do not wander for the rest of my life either, Cass. I hope I do not..." Buan followed little Cass up to the inn. "Ah, the inn. I had almost forgotten about that..." Buan thought, as the fears he had been thinking about earlier began to rear their ugly heads. "I hope this remains a pleasant night, I would do not want any trouble. I also don't want Cass to be hurt..." |

Cassiel snorted at how silly that plan sounded. “What’s so special about Norwood?” she asked, crinkling her nose. “It’s just a bunch of trees!” The thought confused her greatly – she had never thought anything great of forests. More than that though the prospect of going into such a confusing place frightened her; she didn’t know if there were paths or not, and with so many trees all of the same type it would be confusing to know where to go. Regardless, Cassiel brought him to the steps and let go of his hand, gesturing for him to go up to the door. “I think this is as far as I should go,” she said. “I’ll stand right here though! And if they give you any trouble I’ll kick and punch ‘em.” Cassiel grinned at the idea, if only because she wanted a little vengeance herself. She lifted her tiny hands and balled them into fists in front of her, taking on something of a fighting stance. “See? I can take care of myself. Now go on.” She lowered her hands and offered a wink. |
