More and more rain. Why doesn't it go away? Well, at least it wasn't that heavy and was letting up. Last time it rained for this long it was much harder. Of course the fortunate Fairy found himself in the shelter of a nice young girl, she was a nice person, if not a little nutty. He had some fun at least even though that monkey didn't like him very much. Well, right now he was nowhere near that house and wouldn't be getting much shelter from her again. He wondered if he would ever be going back there again. Midori sat on a lily pad after it stopped raining almost. He doubted any animals would be out in this autumn so no frogs would be around, hopefully. He hugged his knees waiting for his wings to dry off a bit before he would be able to fly again. They flapped slowly airing out. He hoped this lily pad didn't sink, he couldn't swim very well and would panic in the water, even though he knew panic would only make the situation worse. Well, he was greatful to have wings again. Katsumi had ripped them off accidently and then Cordeila had ripped one off and poked holes in the other one. Gladly they grew back. He sighed at the thought of that vampire finding him again, the thought of it almost scared him, though he wasn't that much scared at her anymore, more of just that he would be with her. Well, it couldn't be that bad. |

I wonder what it's like to live among the clouds and to see what lies beyond this place... Oh well, it's nothing i could ever expirience." Lyrin thought to herself as she sat on the edge of a pond with her feet swirling in the water. She was still a bit wet and cold from the dieing rain so she silently slid into the water. She moved deeper into the pond till she could sit with just her eyes above the surface. After a few moments she closed her eyes and let mer mind drift farther into the oblivion of her imagination. Soft bubbles floated up to the suface from her mouth. As she opened her eyes she spotted a familiar figure sitting on a lilly pad not too far away, a thought popped in her head and a mischievous smile appeared on her face. She took a breath and swam toward him under the water, hopeing not to be seen. Once she was under the lilypad she grabbed its stem and pulled it under the water and let it go. After doing that she swam a few feet away and tried to look as if she had just arrived. |

Midori assumed his wings would be fine in a few more seconds then he would be able to leave. He tried to flap them quickly but they were still too heavy to lift him off of the lily pad without him falling into the water. He thought he head some kind of water swishing though and turned around, but he saw nothing at all besides a ripple. He didn't even notice the ripple, they were happening all over because the rain drops were still falling off of the trees around them. The next thing he knew was he was in the water. The lily pad was beneath the water and he was suckoned down as well. He was under the water and he didn't know what to do. He knew which way was up but couldn't swim. He waved his arms in the direction but in the wrong sequench. He just wanted to get out of the water, he wanted to be gone now. He couldn't swim. Luckily he resurfaced but was bobbing up and down. The water was calm at least and nothing was happening. He was able to keep his head above enough to breath, though he was victum to the next current to pull him away and possibly under the water. Attempting to not panic he breathed in the air about him and moved his legs, tredding water, badly. He bobbed under a few times before he knew he wouldn't be able to keep this up much longer, he waved his arms under the water and kicked his feet, incorrectly at least. He couldn't move his wings in the thick water ether, if he could he would be tredding water just fine. He could only gasp for breaths now as he kept going under from lack of correct upward thrust. |

Trying to recover an innocent air, she watched as her little friend struggle beneath the water. She never knew he couldn't swim, and it was only until she saw him barely reach the surface did she know something was wrong. She rushed towards the little Fairy and scooped him up from the water. She looked toward land and saw a dry rock to place him on to catch him breath. She placed him down on the rock, a bit guiltily she asked "What's wrong? Can't you swim?" |

He barely noticed the girl that came to his rescue until he was out of the water for a few seconds. He coughed a bit and looked up at the women and gave her a look of thanks. He could only wonder if she was the one to pull him under, well, she rescued him so she didn't mean that much trouble he assumed. Maybe it was only a prank, he could understand that. He was a Fae afterall. When he was placed on the rock he quickly got to his week and walked a bit further away from the water but didn't leave the stone. "I am fine, I guess. Thank you for rescuing me." he said hugging his knees againt after sitting down. He tried to get himself close to himself to remain warm. It wasn't that cold into fall but it would make him cold if he tried to fly without being warm later. Sadly he would have to answer her next question, he sighed and shook his head. He couldn't swim, he never learned how to. He was never taught, he tried to avoid water as much as he could as well. Looking at the girl, she seemed like she was always in the water, not Human nor Elf. Nymph maybe, a Water Nymph. It was the only sensable race, though he could be wrong as well. "Well, I have to thank for saving me again. My name if Midori, what's your's?" he said trying to be friendly at least. |

Still standing with her feet in the water, she turned and sat down on the ground next to the rock. She looked at him in dismay, "You can't swim," she looked towards the water for a moment and returned to face him with a smile. "Oopsies...Oh, and the name's Lyrin. You shouldn't thank me really, I mean, I might have been the one who pulled you under." She gave a small laugh and went to shake his hand in greeting but quickly pulled away realizing that would have been a bit awkard, considering he's only about two inches in height. So instead she smiled at him as a sign of friendliness. Removing her feet from the water, she looked up to the sky to find the clouds pulling away from the sun. She turned back toward him and said, "Well, atleast your wings might be able to dry faster now that the sun is comming out. Then again, you should really learn how to swim." She thought for a moment and stood up with a bigger smile, "What do you say, wanna learn how to swim?" |

Midori nodded at the girl and mouthed her name to himself multiple times to try to remember it. "Well, nice to meet you Lyrin, I guess." he said taking note that she pulled him under, like he thought, it was ok. Just a prank, she saved him from drowning so there was nothing against her for it. "It's ok, someone's fun can lead to another's misfortune. I am a Fae afterall and should know this." he said looking away from her in thought. "But you didn't just leave me to drown, and there I have to thank you." he said turning back to her and smiling. He continued to hug his legs and was glad the sun was coming out, though it wouldn't be as warm as the summar was. Maybe his wings would dry a bit faster, maybe not though. He didn't mind as long as she kept him the company. Of course what she went on to say was typical. He should have seen that one coming. "No thank you, I will stick to the sky." he said pointing upwards hoping she wasn't going to keep on going about how he should swim. Almost everyone he meets that is nice tell him that he should learn how to swim when they figure out he can't swim. It wasn't something that simple, well for Lyrin it was. She was probably born in the water, or from the water. Were Nymphs born like other Human beings and stuff? It didn't matter, all he knew was that she was basicly born swiming. |

Hearing Midori say no almost made Lyrin throw him back into the water to make him change his mind. NOT LEARN TO SWIM!!! THAT RIDICULOUS!!!she thought to herself. She knew that no matter what she would say, he would keep denying her offer, and that made her patience with him diminish to a drop. With no other thought, she made up her mind. Midori is going to learn to swim. She didn't care whether or not he would ever talk to her again, because she knew that by doing this, she may save his life, again. "Sorry buddy, I can't let you say no, you ARE going to learn and that's that." Before he could resist she grabbed him by the back of his shirt and made her way into the middle of the lake. With her legs and left arm keeping her from sinking, she held Midori an inch above the surface. "You ready?" |

Lyrin suddenly didn't give him a choice. She was going to make him learn, not again. Why did everyone have to force him to learn. You can lead a Fairy to water, just not make him swim in it. "[colr=green]Come on, why can't you just let me go without learning how to fly? I mean I don't really want to and have no interest too. I avoid the water as much as I can really.[/color] he started to complain before she picked him up off of the ground by his shirt. This was completely unfair by his part. Well at least she wasn't putting him in jars, ripping his wings off, forcing him to be her bestest friend, selling him to people as a toy. When she was holding from above the water he pulled his legs up. He didn't want to be put into the water at all. "Can we talk this over please? I mean come on, why do I have to learn. I don't wanna and stuff. I mean like, if you suddenly grew wings would you learn how to fly?" he said trying to plead with her, there was a hint of panic in his voice. Maybe he should learn but he really didn't want to. He just wanted his wings to dry so he could fly again. He didn't like being on the ground this much. Midori didn't like being in the water more, what if a fish attacked him or something. He would have to be able to swim. What if Lyrin didn't notice him start to drown or something. He could only assume she could breath underwater as well so it didn't matter much to her how long she stayed under, just hoped she remembered he couldn't breath for long. |

"I'm making you learn because someday you will find yourself in water, but then you'll be able to swim and therefore you won't have to depend on others to save you." she said, her voice softer now that her patience returned. "It's quite easy, and don't worry about drowning, I won't let you fall beneath the surface more than an inch or so. Now..." Lyrin started to relay some rules about swimming and how to keep afloat. Testing that he was listening, she dropped him in the water, ready to resurface him if he wasn't so succesful. |

Midori wasn't getting out of this no matter how much he pleaded. He just sighed and listened to her talk about it. Somethings he was about to protest to and did for one of them. "One inch?" he asked meassuring himself with his arms showing that one inch was easily half of himself. That could be quite a ways down for him. He wasn't getting out of it so he only listened to what she was going on about. After a bit she dropped him in the water. He kicked his legs as he was told to and swam to the surface and moved his arms in a circle each, though in different directions not making it very effective and he tried to keep his head above the water. He could almost tred water without her help but what she said. He looked up at her from where he was tredding water, though not the best. "Can I go now, please?" he asked hoping this was enough for her, he wouldn't be able to swim to shore from here even if he knew how to swim perfectly. It was way too big for him, he just wanted to fly again. "Well, when I say go I mean get out of the water, I'll still stick around and talk to you...blugle." he said as he went under the water and was distracted from talking. He came back up and looked at her trying to focus on staying up, his arms hurt now. |

Lyrin was doubtful he would ever master swimming, not that he would ever want to, but still. "Nope. I'm not letting you out of the watter until you can keep your entire head above the surface. Now move your legs back and forth in a syncronized motion, as well as your arms." Seeing his faces made he a laugh a bit, he was making good progress, but now he seemed to be lacking strength so she decided it was time to quit. She raised him out of the water with one hand and swam back to shore. As she was placing him back on the very same rock from before, she said "Youre doing okay, atleast you wont drown." The sun was fully out now and no clouds were in the sky. A few noisy birds were squaking in a tree acros from the lake. Lyrin thought about about swimming again before the water gets too cold, but decided against it. |

Lyrin didn't hold to her word, she took him out after a bit. He rubbed his sore arms from trying to keep afloat. "Promise me you will never do that again." he said to her while she was going over to the shore again. He just wanted to be in the air again. It wouldn't be that much longer before he would be able to fly again. He doubted she had anyway to dry him ether, her clothing was soaked as well, looking like she was always in the water. When they were at shore Midori walked off of the rock and around the grass a bit. He moved his wings getting the water off of him much quicker than before. After a minute he was able to bring himself in the air and he flew in the air around Lyrin. "Now, I should get you back for pulling me under, I don't know how yet though. Give me a while to think about it. And don't try to get away, because I will find you sooner or later." he said to her teasingly, he knew one way but didn't want to try it here. Something bad could happen, if not he could just pull a prank on her with something else. He crossed his legs and arms and flew in the air above her trying to seem impassive. "You have any suggestions?" he said thinking some more, if not he would just have to do that. He thought if it would be fun, but she could also try and get him back for that as well. |

Lyrin found him a bit annoying flying around her, she held back from swatting him out of the air. Crossing her arms and leaning on one leg in the shallow water, her eyes followed him as he was talking. I wonder what he's thinking, I guess it'll be better not to find out and come up with my own. Hopefuly this guy will take my offer. Haha. "Oh, I dunno~ I really hate little fury animals. They annoy me so much it's unbearable." About ready to burst with his buzzing around like a fly, she moved back a bit farther into the water. She noticed the sun was halfway down the sky, and wondered when she would say goodbye to this little Fairy. |

Midori stayed still in the air, his wings didn't make that much of a sound as he hovered in the air. The only way one would hear it if they had elf ears or something, and then it would only turn up as a faint buzzing. A Fairies' and or Pixies' wings were graciful as he was told before by Human folklore. That didn't cross his mind that much and she spoke up. He of course wasn't going to take her suggestion, any smart person wouldn't say what annoyed them. The Fairy moved around a bit in the air and looked around the lake a bit away form Lyrin. He got quite distracted by looking around and noticed he was in the middle of a conversation with someone. He flew back to where he was and looked at Lyrin. "Well, I'll get you later... maybe. I have... an idea or two, I guess." he said thinking about his plan Fairy Dust and one of his spells. Both of those ideas would take her out of the water and off of the ground for a bit. It would be a bit funny to see a Nymph out of water. Well, it would only be for a little bit and he would make sure nothing bad happened to her. He considered her a friend already, maybe because it was just because she saved him from drowning, twice sort of. Though both times were her fault, the second one he wasn't that close to drowning. |
